This is Love by Melissa Foster delivered all I expected and more. A sexy, emotional, intense, and entertaining read. I had been looking forward to Remi’s story ever since she was introduced in the Sugar Lake series and my anticipation increased tenfold after reading Call Her Mine. Remington Alridge, screen name, Remi Divine is an A-list actress. Like all actresses she has her adoring fans, however there is one who has taken his adoration a bit too far. So much so, he has taken to stalking her, breaking into her home, and carrying out a host of other creepy things. To ensure her protection, and to find the perpetrator, her big brother, Aiden secured the services of bodyguards. However, Remi, who feels constricted by the constant shadowing of the guards, always ditches them. At his wit’s end, Aiden goes for the big guns. Enters Mason Swift a former soldier, who takes his job of protection seriously. He may prove to be the one bodyguard she has no desire to ditch. Remi and Mason despite being from different worlds had several things in common. They both experienced loss at an early age. Despite this, they were strong, determined, hardworking and caring individuals. Although their attraction to each other was immediate, their relationship evolved at a slow pace, adding authenticity to the romance. Laden with humour, I laughed at the antics of the characters. However, the funniest and sweetest moment for me was when Remi discovered that the man she had been admiring would be her bodyguard. That moment was priceless. I found the storyline regarding the stalker intriguing. I never had a clue as to the stalker’s identity. Foster threw me a loop with that twist. Never for a moment did I saw that one coming. It was great reconnecting with the characters from the previous series and seeing how their lives have evolved. I enjoyed the camaraderie between family and friends that is present in Foster’s stories. Piper Dalton never failed to crack me up and I wait to get her story. Narration Although I received an ARC through Netgalley, I opted to listen to the audio version. The narrator, John Lane did a good job in capturing both male and female voices. It was a pleasure listening to his voice. Conclusion/Recommendation This is Love is a great addition to the Harmony Pointe series. I am waiting with bated breath for Piper’s story. |

This is Love was my first Melissa Foster book, but it won’t be my last. Remi is a Hollywood actress who is being stalked and Mason is hired as her bodyguard. These two are immediately drawn to one another but fight their attraction since Mason works for Remi and they have a big age gap between them. However, their chemistry can’t be denied. I would recommend this book if you enjoy an insta-love story with a bit of suspense plus a big dose of red hot chemistry. |
When Mason Swift takes over the protection detail for actress Remi Devine the chemistry is combustible. This book has a little bit of everything you want in a romance, great characters, a story that is gripping and heartwarming but will still keep you guessing what is coming next and lots of steam. Pick up This is Love and escape into a great story. |
I am obsessed with Melissa Foster's books. She is one of my favorite authors and I definitely read everything she puts out. I absolutely adored This is Love, the second book in the Harmony Pointe series. Remi and Mason were perfect together and I loved their story so much. I definitely recommend this one! |

Melissa Foster is one of my favorite authors. She has complex characters and though her stories can be read as individual novels you get so much more out of it by following the series. Her stories and characters build on each other. She draws you in and at the end of the book you are already thinking about who is going to be next on her list. Both Remy and Mason were introduced in previous novels, but I never would have put them together. This novel has a little bit of everything. Serious family dynamics, comedy, romance, intrigue, friendship and happily ever after. I have been waiting for Remy’s story to come out since we were first introduced to her. Aiden takes his sister’s safety seriously he has a ton of guilt left over from his parents’ accident. He was entrusted with the raising of Remy after her parents were killed and she is all that he has left. Aiden and Remy have a close and complicated relationship. Remy did not get to be a normal teenager. She was always working, taking care of her fans and being responsible. Remy is a famous actress with a stalker. She was feeling hemmed in by the team bodyguards that her brother Aiden hired for her protection. Remy had started sneaking out, ditching them and when her stalker strikes again Aiden decides to change things up. Mason is brought in as her one and only bodyguard. Mason has never lost a client and isn’t planning on letting one wanna be wild child ruin his record. Mason is the yin to Remy’s yang. He is her other half. Instead of hemming her in he lets her have her freedom while teaching her how to step back from her fame and take time for herself. Melissa Foster ties up the story and leaves you wanting to know what is going to happen to Aiden. |
What can I say about THIS IS LOVE… I adored this book, Remi and Mason's story is full of laughs, sexual tension and so many steamy moments. Remi and Mason were so cute trying to play that they didn’t feel anything for one another. But once Remi kissed Mason boy did the fireworks go off. Plus it wouldn't be a Melissa Foster book if she didn't find a way to sneak in a little eye-tearing moment. But I will say every time Piper was in a scene she stole it – with her one-liners and the t-shirts were the best. I can’t wait for her book to see who she ends up with. This book can be read as a standalone, but I highly recommend that you read Melissa’s other books. Melissa loves to have characters from her other books made surprise cameos. |
I really enjoyed This is Love, but I don't think that would be a surprise to anyone. The tension between Remi and Mason could be felt. Their relationship didn't come easy and the obstacles they faced felt believable. I always enjoy a strong Foster man but I think Mason might just be my favorite so far. While I didn't feel like I could relate to Remi I came around quickly. Mason and Remi fit so well together, if only everyone could find that kind of love. |
Melissa Foster has proven time and time again that she has a unique talent of creating characters that enchant her readers ... and her latest continues the trend! THIS IS LOVE is the second book in her Harmony Pointe series and brings us a Hollywood superstar and the bodyguard tasked to control the wayward starlet in a sexy forbidden love romance. Remi is no stranger to avid reader's of Foster, so starting this story with her handling a stalker and balking at the strict protection her brother has ordered for her was attention grabbing from the start. She's a complex character in that she's achieved such greatness in her young life, but still half feels smothered under her brother's love. Mason felt like walking sin the second he entered the first scene. He caught her eye majorly before he ever even got the chance to tell her he was her new bodyguard ... and that chemistry continued to flare out of control as they danced around the sexual attraction consuming their thoughts. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys sassy banter, steaming hot passion and generally good natured folks. You can't go wrong with either book in this series so far ... they've both been great! |
This is Love is the second book in the Harmony Pointe series, and follows superstar actress Remi and the first bodyguard she doesn't want to run away from, Mason. Remi is in town filming her next movie and thinks that she has ditched the stalker plaguing her on the west coast, and that her older brother (Aiden) is just being his normal, over-protective self. Since she doesn't believe the threat to her life is real, Remi frequently does everything she can to ditch her protective detail. During the events of the first book in the series (Call Her Mine) and at the beginning of this one, Remi and Aiden come to a compromise that involves hiring one plain-clothed bodyguard, Mason. While Remi approved of this change, she still felt it was unnecessary and over-the-top. However Mason, who had been a part of the foster care system, knew how to give her space and how to not fall for her attempts to sneak away from him. When the threats to her become real, Remi and Mason have to come up with a way to keep her safe, catch the bad guy, and break the news to the world (and more importantly, her brother) that they were in love. I really enjoyed Call Her Mine, the first book in the series, and I had high hopes that this would continue on being a great series. I should note that while this can be read as a stand alone, I would absolutely recommend at least reading Call Her Mine first, or else all of the characters will bog down the story for you! Even having read that, I had to try and remember who was who and keep the various story lines straight, and at times that took away from the actual scenes. I tend to love the protector/bodyguard trope, but this one fell a little short for me. I think the biggest issue for me was the instant-love nature of this book. There was very little build up or burn to it, and while they did try and avoid their feelings for a time it did not last long. I would classify this as a love-at-first-site story, so if that's what you're looking for this will be perfect! But for those of us who like to suffer through a bit of a slow burn, it left me wanting more. Everything was very instantaneous, and they delved into deep personal feelings and memories incredibly quickly. Because of that, it made the story feel a bit impersonal as a reader. It's hard to feel emotionally invested and connected when so much is thrown at you so quickly. I think in general that people will either love this book or feel indifferent about it. There's nothing overtly negative, but for me personally it doesn't stand out or above the rest of the books I've read this year (especially compared to the first book in the series). There wasn't much character development, plot, or conflict. It took awhile for me to get through even though it's a light, easy read, simply because there was nothing much to draw me in. I am honestly more excited to read about Piper and Harley! As soon as we saw more of them I knew that I had to plan on reading She Loves Me. |
This is Love is Book 2 in the Harmony Pointe series by Melissa Foster. These books stand perfectly fine on their own. The first book in this series is the first I've read by this author and I couldn't wait to read Book 2 once I learned it had been released. This book was fun and steamy with just a touch of suspense. I an inkling as to who was the bad guy but the author certainly kept me second-guessing myself throughout. Mason and Remi were amazing characters and I enjoyed this story immensely. |

Remi is a successful actress who has drawn the attention of the wrong person. Her brother has always protected her and this situation is no different even if she feels like she is living in a prison with no freedom. He has been having trouble finding the right man for the job until Mason accepts the assignment. Mason owns his own security company and while he understands that living her life this way can be difficult he is determined to ensure that he keeps her safe and that means staying by her side 24/7. What neither of them expected was that they would be drawn to each other as letting down their guard could have deadly consequences. Sweet, sexy and a little suspense as two people who meet under the most unlikely of circumstances will have you believing in fate and fairy tales. |
What a book! We got a glimpse of Remi in Call Her Mine and I knew then that I couldn’t wait for her story. This is slightly different than the usual Melissa Foster romance, as in the fact that there is the mystery of who is stalking Remi which is the catalyst of her being introduced to Mason. Remi has had enough of being followed around by her two bodyguards – whom she has managed to slip past several time, and has demanded her brother get her one plain clothed bodyguard. Mason Swift has decided to take on the charge of being Remi’s bodyguard and when he first meets her he pegs for being a diva, but the more time he spends with her he realises that she is just trying to rebel a little after being looked after by her brother Aiden since her parents died in a car accident when she was young. Aiden will do anything to protect Remi, hence the bodyguards as he cant always be around to protect her himself. He trusts Mason, but how will he feel when he discovers that their relationship has developed from work to personal? The stalker story line certainly had me shocked me when it was revealed as to the who and why, just as much as it shocked Remi! The trust and developing relationship between her and Mason was full of chemistry and fire, that had Mason questioning his professionalism on the job. Once they both realise that this is love they give in and become the most perfect couple. They both have trauma in the past and that connects them and pulls them together. This is Love is truly amazing, the story will draw you in with romance and fear of the stalker as you try to work out who it is along side Remi and Mason. 5 stars |
Oh yay! Another delicious Melissa Foster book! I was thrilled to find it on my Kindle for sure and enjoyed reading it, beginning to end. I had a super fun time with the characters - Ms. Not-So-Bratty-But-Thinks-She's-In-Charge Actress and Hotty Hotness Bodyguard. I loved that they didn't spend the whole book butting heads but rather getting to know one another and building a relationship. I read a few of the other reviews and some people mentioned Whitney Houston's Bodyguard movie. Yes, I can see shades of that in this. Similar feelings. And did I mention a HEA/HFN ending? Le swoon. Oh yes, this is a true romantic's book that is a smooth, fast read with loveable characters and Melissa's trademark finesse. 5❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ 3🔥🔥🔥 I received this free book gratefully as requested and am voluntarily leaving my review. All opinions are my own. |
If you read Call Her Mine book 1 in the Harmony Pointe series you'll remember Remi Devine, she is the actress friend of Aurelia's and this is her story, if you haven't read it no worries this can totally be read as a standalone. Remi is a well know actress who has been raised by her brother since their parents were killed in an car accident years ago, but now there is a stalker after her and he needs help so he hires a security firm to protect her when he is unable to. But here's the thing, Remi doesn't think it's anything serious and is tired of being followed by bodyguards so she is constantly sneaking away that's when Mason, the owner of the security company, takes over. He is convinced she's a diva due to her actions but what he sees proves she's anything but. I love Mason and Remi together. I loved that they both had walls that the other was able to knock down, and don't get me started on the chemistry because WOW! They are just perfect together. I'll say this time and time again, there is a reason I am a huge Melissa Foster fan and it's because of the way she pulls you into her world of characters and has you feeling as if you are one of the gang just hanging out watching everything unfold as it happens and it you are right there with them. You can feel the sparks, the skipped heart beats, and the tension when something is wrong. I will always HIGHLY recommend her books and the best part is each of them can be read as a standalone so you can jump in and start a series whenever you want. Like now, *hint* *hint* Happy Reading!!! |
This is book 2 in the Harmony Pointe series and I really enjoyed it. Remi and Mason were so good together. Their attraction and chemistry was so addicting. You needed to keep reading to see if they would be able to fight it because he is her bodyguard or if it was too much for them to handle. This book is filled with romance and a hint of suspense and drama because of the stalker threat. Wonderful characters and a gripping storyline. I can’t wait to read what is next in this series and from this author. I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review. |
Received an ARC for an honest review. This was cute! I liked getting Remi's story - an actress on the run from a stalker and the bodyguard who only wants to protect her. There were a few times it dragged a little, and I'm not sure if it was because I was expecting more from the stalker, but it felt slow. I really enjoyed their relationship though and the way it progressed into something real. It was great to catch up with the Dalton's too. |
Dont' worry if you haven't read book one, this easily stands alone :) A sweet, sexy, heart pounding romance with a bit of drama and intrigue to keep you reading well past your bedtime! |
Mason & Remi stole the show! Each book I read by Melissa Foster just get better and better. This is Love is no different. Remi is such a complex soul just from the parents dying. This stalkier really bring Remi into the woman she wants to be and Mason gives her a safe space to flourish. Mason fights hs feelings, but what is meant tp be will be. It was a pure joy to watch their journey unfold. |
Alpha bodyguard? I'm all for it! I loved both of the characters, Remi and Mason, and the connection between them is wonderful. There's humour and many light hearted moments but also some difficulties and flaws which they both carry. You might think Mason's this big and burly guy, but then we soon discover there's a softer side to him too. He falls hard and fast for her. When he thought he could never fall for anyone. He opens up to her. And I think he's the most sweetest guy ever and definitely someone who Remi needs in her life. A sweet read with plenty of heat, passion, a little suspense and everlasting love! Worth the read! |
