Thank you netgalley for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review. This was a decent romance almost like the movie the bodyguard but contemporary. Remi is a movie star who feels caged by her brother's overprotective bodyguards. Mason is picked as the main one and their chemistry flares. I liked both characters but wished Remi took more authority of her desires. I felt Mason did too much of the fixing and planning for her. She should be able to experience her own freedom without needing him there constantly lecturing and protecting. Overall decent novel. |

I love this book. This book is not only romantic, sexy and fun is also full of suspense. Remi and Mason are an amazing couple and their story is a page turner one. I enjoy reading this book and I can't wait for the next book in this series. I received an advance reader copy of this book in exchange of my honest review. |

Actress Remi Devine has a stalker. She knows that her high-profile life can cause security issues, but she is tired of being surrounded by bodyguards. After the death of their parents when she was twelve, her brother, Aiden, raised her. He is now her business manager and hires Mason Swift, former Special Forces to protect her. As Mason learns more about Remi and her past, he is attracted to the woman, not just the actress. Mason has become more than a bodyguard to Remi when the stalker strikes again. Can Mason control his feelings for Remi and keep her safe? A very enjoyable story that has it all, romance, suspense and amazing characters. This a well written book with a solid story. I just don't think it was for me. I kept expecting more drama because there was a stalker, but that didn't really manifest until the end. It caused a splash of conflict earlier in the story that helped drive the characters together. I had issues with the level of maturity, self-care, and self-advocacy Remi found--only after she met the hero. And only because of him. I respected her journey, but not the fact that she needed him to do it for her, or to get her there. Much of the book was spent with characters that I figured were from previous books. Those scenes were boring and a little too superficial and sugary sweet for me overall. Perhaps if I read Foster's other books and was a fan of them, I would've been more interested. There was very little actual conflict in this book for why these characters couldn't be together. It felt long and drawn out to evade the insta-love haters. I received an ARC from NetGalley. |
Sigh. It’s finished and my book friends are gone - again. My favorite writing fairy has crafted another amazing book. It has all the feels, angst, and of course heat. Oh and definitely love. From page one to the very last your apart of the characters and what’s taking place, to the point it’s very sad when your on the last page because you have to say goodbye to your friends!! |
This is love is book 2 in the series and is Remus story. She’s home in New York filming her new movie but her over bearing brother hasn’t forgotten the stalker that broke into her house. Months of body guards have left her at her end. Enter Mason. He’s not your typical body guard. He understands the need to be free but he will do so in keeping her safe. What they don’t expect is their attraction to boil over. When things heat up they heat up quickly! The stalker is back and it’s going to take everyone to keep her safe. It was good and I enjoyed it. You got to see a lot of the characters from the previous series and Ben and Aurelia. Can’t wait for Aidens story |
This was absolutely DIVINE! When Remi is fed up with the bodyguards her brother has attached to her in order to protect her from a stalker, she lets her frustration be known. Then again, she really isn’t one to hold back on what she’s thinking or feeling...as long as she’s with friends or family. The solution to her problem is resolved by installing Mason Swift into her life and her home. Suddenly, she’s no longer being ignored and bossed around...she’s feeling her world tilt every which way but up. I actually liked Remi quite a bit, although actresses are some of my least favorite heroines. She was pretty much down to earth like the girl next door and she ensnared Mason pretty quickly. Mason was a great hero. His job is to protect but the instinct to do so goes deep into his DNA. However, he recognized that Remi need room to breathe, and the opportunities to help make decisions about her life so he set out to do so immediately. Despite the stalker issue, this didn’t revolve around the danger alone. It showcases two people learning each other, falling in love and trying to figure out how they can make it work. Add in all the amazing characters that are in this couple’s life and this book is pretty much perfection. |

DNF... I made it to 26%. The author has a great technique of making the words flow. Maybe this book is for the younger generation. Their wasn’t much meat to this story. It just seemed...stupid. Maybe she waited to long to have an incident. |
Mason and Remi are a match made in disaster. She's more than a little naive. He's more than a bit jaded. There is no chance that they could possibly work. Yet somehow they do. Foster gives romance cliches a makeover as only she can. This is Love battles it's way under your skin and into your heart, before you even realize what's hit you. Remi is an actress with a rebellious streak that sometimes had me questioning her common sense. Mason is a warrior that guards his heart as fiercely as he protects his clients. Neither is willing to give when it comes to their point of view, but fate could have other plans when it comes to their hearts. Frustratingly funny, emotionally raw and irresistibly delicious. |

This book has all the feels...anger, fear, sadness, doubts, chemistry, and Remi and Mason feel the connection but doubt the realness. Can they keep Remi safe from the stalker and find a way to believe in each other...Loved everything about this book and how each of them over came the things in their past...💞💞💞 |
Remi is an actress who has a stalker, so her brother hires her a bodyguard. But Remi feels smothered, so she is constantly giving her bodyguards the slip. Mason is the owner of firm Remi’s brother hired to protect her and he’s not gonna let a spoiled diva ruin his company’s reputation. No one has ever gotten by him, so he is going to protect her himself. Mason never thought that the little Princess could bring him to his knees, but that is exactly what she’s done. Remi can’t believe the chemistry between her and the new hottie that’s guarding her. I just love Remi ... she’s a little spitfire that just wants to lead a normal life. And Mason ... who wouldn’t love a burly guy that has a protective streak? The electricity between Remi and Mason jumps off the pages and their scorching sex scenes ... just WOW! There are lots of characters from previous books (some I’ve read and some I haven’t) ... but Ms Foster does a great job of describing them, so I didn’t feel like I was missing out. A great storyline with a little twist at the end. I received an early copy courtesy of Montlake Romance through NetGalley in exchange for a honest review. |

A beautiful story about love and loss and filling in all the cracks Remi is America's sweetheart - a beautiful, successful actress who seems to have it all right at her fingertips. However, when a stalker shows up, her overly-protective older brother [who raised her after losing their parents in a car crash] decides she needs a bodyguard. Having given all his best guys the slip, Mason, former special-ops guru, takes on the role of her protector. As they proceed to weave their lives together through protection detail, Remi and Mason form a bond that is special on so many levels. From the tragedy that was her parents' accidents, to Mason's life coming up in foster care, these two will tug on your heartstrings and bury their ways into your heart to stay. There is so much emotion packed into these pages. Expect laughter, tears, smiles, a couple of spoken OMGs, held breaths, and so much more from this story. It's a must-read for anyone looking for an unputdownable feel-good read. |
*4 Stars* ARC kindly received in exchange for an honest review. The second instalment in another great series from Melissa Foster. I was intrigued about Remi from the previous book, so to get her story was great. I liked her as a character, however I found that I liked Mason even more so. This was a fairly light and easy read, and while it did take a little while to get into and get going, it had lots of great characters and some sweet and fun moments. I enjoyed this one, and it can be read as a standalone. Looking forward to more from Melissa Foster, as I've learnt I can pretty much guarantee that I'm going to like whatever she writes. |
Remi is an actress and she has a stalker. Her brother has hired bodyguards for her but she keeps ditching them. She is in Harmony Point shooting a movie when she meets her newest bodyguard. Mason owns a security company, was in the military, and never crosses the line while on the job. Remi just wants to be free but she has another bodyguard following her around. Can Mason keep Remi safe and find the love he never knew he needed? I love Mrs. Foster’s stories. This one has romance, sex, and a little suspense . I had a couple of problems.. First, the dialogue didn’t sound real and after so far in, everything felt rushed. Second, one minute Mason and Remi were fighting their attraction and the next they were in love. I hate giving below 4 stars but I just couldn’t give it anymore. * Voluntarily read and reviewed this for NetGalley * |
I really liked this book, it was totally different than what I'm used to reading, but I really enjoyed reading it |
Remi has a stalker and an overprotective brother. Mason is her new bodyguard. Remi doesn't want a bodyguard and doesn't think there is a reason for her brother to be as worried about her safety as he is, so she is resistant to the idea of a bodyguard. Remi sees Mason before they are officially introduced, she is attracted to him and wants to find him in the crowd...but before she can she discovers that he is the new man who has been hired to protect her. Mason takes his job seriously. And, falling in love with the woman he is supposed to protect is not something he is ok with, but he is not able to resist Remi the more he gets to know her. I love books where the reason the characters are unable to be together feel real. And, this is a real issue, it's a real problem. Falling in love with her, and still being in charge of protecting her, is a conflict and a complication. I was engaged with this story and with the characters. It makes it easy when you are fully able to believe the conflict. This one worked for me as far as the conflict with the characters. Although, there were times when I thought the romance built a little too quickly and that Mason moved past the issues he had with getting involved with Remi a little to fast for me to totally believe it. I enjoyed and recommend this title. |
This Is Love is the second book in the Harmony Pointe series. Remi Divine was initially introduced in the Sugar Lake series, and now she finally gets her story. This Is Love is a standalone, but if you really want to get in on all the camaraderie and friendship between the Dalton siblings and their other friends and family, go ahead and read the Sugar Lake series. Personally, I enjoyed them more than the Harmony Pointe series so far, and I hate to say that because I've been looking forward to reading more about the Daltons since I read Love Like Ours. Anyways, I enjoyed both Remi and Mason as individuals for the most part, and I felt their pasts played well into how they fit together as a couple. I also loved the build up from their initial attraction to when they finally gave in to it. Unfortunately, once they did so, their interactions were almost cheesy, to the point that I found myself rolling my eyes at times, and that really detracted from their story for me. On the other hand, there was some humor and a bit of suspense, and as always, I liked catching up with the Daltons. Piper Dalton especially is a riot, and I look forward to her story. ***I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy generously provided by the publisher via NetGalley.*** |

Wow! This book was amazing from start to finish. Remi Devine is an actress who is giving so much of herself that she does not realize how much of her life it is taking to remain "on her game" at all times. Mason Swift is hired as Remi's bodyguard but sparks fly from before the two even officially meet. Mason teaches Remi how to really live her life and set up boundaries while protecting her life. Obviously the two of them have their bumps along the road - including dealing with her brother, the man who hired Mason, but I loved reading about their journey. I can't wait to see more of these two in future books. |

I want a Mason in my life. What an ALPHA male!! I think I feel for him the instant he spoke in the book. Remi is sure a special character. You could feel the pain and fear she had in life. While being the public eye, she could never let those feeling show. Mason was able to see through her act. He actually “saw” her. There is story is one of my favorites! I actually read the book twice before I wrote my review. It pulls at your heart strings, and you can’t help but keep turning the pages! |
A beautifully written emotive story with family, friendship and love at its centre. A great read in true Melissa Foster style |
