A sweet simple little story about trying your best and not measuring yourself against others. This is a great book for young children to help show them how important friendship and supporting each other is, as well as being true to yourself. I loved Dewdrop, such a cute Axolotl! When I saw that the main character was a Axolotl I knew that I had to read this! Again Katie's illustrations are gorgeous, they really make the book something special, the colours and expressions on the character's faces are just darling. I'd highly recommend this to anyone with small children (and maybe for their own inner child).

I am a huge fan of Katie O'Neill so obviously I instantly requested this when I saw it on NetGalley! The artwork was stunning, as always, the story was short but impactful, like with all her graphic novels!

This is the perfect book for children and adults alike. Dewdrop and his friends were absolutely adorable and the messages O'Neill weaves into her work are so effortless and necessary.

My only complaint is that I wanted more!

As soon as I heard that Katie O'Neill was coming out with another book I had to read it. I absolutely love the messages she weaves into her books and her art style. The bright color palette and her adorable characters are sure to draw anyone in, but in all her works there are beautiful stories and messages that are great for all ages.

Dewdrop is an adorable little axolotl who loves being a cheerleader and encouraging his friends. As they are preparing for the sports festival each of his friends encounter setbacks with what they are trying to do, but Dewdrop is there to help them through their difficulties and offer support.

This was such as a wonderful read that will be amazing for younger children, I'll definitely be picking up a copy for my niece once it comes out!

Katie O'Neill is my favourite graphic novel author and illustrator of all time, so when I heard she was coming out with a children's picture book, I was so excited! This story follows an axolotl and her friends as they prepare for and compete in their pond's very own sports fair. All of Dewdrop's friends are struggling with feelings of doubt and insecurity, but Dewdrop comes along and reminds them of what's really important. It is literally the sweetest book ever with the most beautiful illustrations to match.

Cute cute book for young readers. The story follows little Dewdrop who is so supportive to all of the friends participating in a sports event. They are each feeling a bit down on themselves and Dewdrop says just the right thing to make each one feel better. A perfect story for a pre-K age child.

I adore The Tea Dragon Society graphic novels so as soon as I saw this I hit request! Katie O'Neills art style is perfect for children, she creates such imaginative characters.
This is exactly the type of positive friendships representation children need to read about. Encouraging your friends and being there for them is the message Katie O'Neill has tried to convey in Dewdrop and it was evident on every page.
I loved everything about this book.

As always, Katie O'Neill is the sweetest soul. This adorable book shows Dewdrop encouraging his friends when they feel the pressure of being the best get to them. As a mother, I see this happen so often. I love the sweet approach Dewdrop takes. Not to mention, THE ILLUSTRATIONS. Can we just all agree that Ms. O'Neill could draw goop and it'd be adorable? Perfection.

This is one of the most beautifully done children's books I have ever seen. The story is engaging, the characters are expressive, and it has the perfect message to share with its audience. It has a clear message that encourages other people to be themselves and spread kindness to others. O'Neill has outdone herself once again with her beautiful art and adorable storyline. I love this book so much. Thank you for the chance to read and review it!
