The story of Renee and Jasper. Both start wanting the same thing, some no strings fun. Can it be more for them if one of them wants it to change?
Great to catch up with characters from the earlier book in the series.

A good read

This was a fun and entertaining romance. The characters are well rounded, and the setting is diverting. I enjoyed watching Jasper and Renee fall in love without realising it, and working through their issues. The themed weddings make a fun background to this slightly unconventional love story.

2 - "Get over yourself…" Stars.

I cannot remember the last time I was this disappointed by a book and if I am honest I would probably have DNF’d it if I hadn’t been anticipating Jasper getting his own book from the time I finished its predecessor Not Quite Over You, back in April. Jasper and Wynn’s Friends-with-benefits situation, played out and ended as a secondary story-line in that one, and I have to admit I was disappointed that the author didn’t see him and the single mother in the long-term relationship bracket. I am even more so now though because I absolutely abhorred Renee Grothen, the two star rating for this book is purely for Jasper, because I would have happily ran over, backed up and ran over Renee several times by the time I had finished their story.

"You’re stuck in the past when you have a wonderful man offering you the future… What more do you want?"

I could go on and on about the numerous issues I had with her behaviour, attitude, treatment of Jasper and her mother. But I don’t want to waste any more time on her, and although there were one or two instances where there was a glimmer that she may not be as bad as all that, she swiftly and comprehensively did or said something worse than what she had done previously to the point I wanted one of the other women involved in the story, to punch/throttle (or a combination of the both) some sense into her.

To then add insult the author decided to wrap everything up in a HEA that played out over about 5 pages at the end, absolute cop out in my opinion, and a huge disappointment in general. This is one book of the Happily Inc series, I will not be going back to Happily re-read again at some point in the future. I am hoping this isn’t the end of the series though because I have loved all the previous books and characters and would love to spend more time with them in their quirky town in the future.
