I love this style of story- nice people who fall for each other. Sounds to good to be true, but here is a book about people who aren’t sex maniacs, jerks, obsessive compulsive career hounds, corporate alphaholes, etc...it’s about two people who make you root for them to be together.

Talk about yum-my! Not only did the food and scrumptious sweets that Chrissie created make my tummy rumble, but Gaston was the delicious hero every woman weak for an alpha dreams of. He was sexy, gorgeous, intelligent, articulate, kind and caring, successful, and everything Chrissie could ask for. They meet and, despite Chrissie's reluctance to take a chance on potential heartbreak, he was relentless in his pursuit of her (which I loved). The development of their relationship was a lot easier than I expected, not counting the sliver of drama towards the end. Gaston and Chrissie's love was smooth, effortless and inevitable. Their chemistry was on point, there was very little angst, and the sex scenes were exactly what I was hoping for. No fade-to-black here people!! It's been a long while since I've read anything from ARR, but if this is the type of story I've been missing, you better believe I'll be going back for more!

4 Baiting Him Stars

Baiting Him is the second instalment in the How to Catch an Alpha series by Aurora Rose Reynolds. You don't have to have read the first in the series though to enjoy this book.

Cassie is a very sweet heroine with a bit of an emotional side to her. She owns and runs a bakery she loves and doesn't really have much of a life outside that. She's out for the first time in a very long time for her friend’s hen night when she meets this incredible hot, sexy man. Although she has no allusions about this man or that he might have any interest outside a one night stand and she's just not into that so she dismisses him.

“Don’t confuse men and boys, sweetheart,” he says, then lowers his voice. “And don’t assume you know the kind of man I am when you haven’t given me a chance to show you what I’m made of.”

Gaston (Can I say what a name!) is out to prove to Cassie that he is not that type of man she thinks he is. He just wants a chance with her, he knows what he wants and will do anything to prove his worth and convince her she's it for him.

This was a really sweet read for me but the suspense part took up way less of the story then then blurb would allow you to think. It was a tad misleading. However if you’re looking for a nice easy, with all the warm feelings read, then this is for you

It was a cute read. I liked the main characters, they were relatable and actually pretty mature. I enjoyed the progression of their relationship, and how they each had their own thing going on. The supporting cast were likable (mostly) and added to the story.

I loved this book. It was funny, hot and sweet. I loved Gaston.. which I never thought I'd say. He went after what he wanted and I dig that.

If you want a sweet, swoony alpha then this is the book for you.

Second book in the How to Catch an Alpha Series and I loved it. It was a quick, cute read. Loved Chrissie and Gaston. Another fun read from Aurora Rose Reynolds. It is great for an afternoon read that will leave with a smile on your face.

I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

A light hearted and fun romp between bakery owner Chrissie and Gaston, the club owner. A lot of fun banter, a little intrigue and a lot of sexual tension. A fun and easy read curled up in a quilt on a wintery day. Highly recommend this one, as it was hard to put down.

Chrissie's life is basically in her bakery. When she needs a day off, her mom covers for her, but other than that, you will find her in her bakery. When she ventures out for her best friend Leah's bachelorette party, she ends up catching the eye of the owner, Gaston. Leary from her parents failed marriage, Chrissie is not really excited about having that fact, but Gaston doesn't let that stop him, he is determined that they have a chance to have a relationship. Will Chrissie give Gaston a chance?

This was so good! This was the absolute perfect Sunday afternoon read, some drama, some amazing naughty bits and some insta-love with an alpha male, what more could a girl ask for! I give this 5 stars.

Another great read by Aurora Rose Reynolds!! I absolutely love her Alpha Heroes and the sassy yet fierce heroines that they fall in love with.

Baiting Him was another sexy, fun and entertaining read. This is a standalone novel that is told in Dual POV!!

I loved Gaston and Chrissie’s story. It was sweet and romantic without a lot of drama. Don’t get me wrong there is that one character you’d like to throat punch, but even she wasn’t that important in this story.

If you love an Alpha male and the strong and independent woman...then you need to read this book. Or to be exact read any Aurora Rose Reynolds books....they are amazing!!!!

Sweet, funny, charming. This is the perfect book if you need something lighthearted and low-angst that will have you grinning from beginning to end. Gaston is super charming, a fantasy gentleman, and Crissie is very likeable. This is definitely Insta-love, but it was a fun read. Happy escapism at its best!

I am loving this "How to Catch an Alpha" series. These books aren't crazy with angst, but rather they are light-hearted, fun, and play around with all the sterotypes that follow alpha romance novels.

I thought that Chrissie and Gaston were so cute, especially at the beginning when she basically told him to leave her alone. There was more to this story than just love, but it didn't get me too far into my feels and kept me laughing at every turn. The writing in this series is the perfect blend of being sort of ironic in noting the sterotypes used to "catch an alpha," but at the same time creating a perfectly lovable story.

I can't wait for the next.

Fun, sexy and sweet romance!

Baiting Him is the second installment in the How to Catch an Alpha Series and features Chrissie, Leah’s best friend from book one. This was a very enjoyable read. Super sweet, steamy, with fantastic writing as always and two amazing characters that had me hooked from the start. A heartwarming entertaining romance that focuses on what love is all about and leaves a warm fuzzy feeling!

“I feel the possessive brand of his mouth on mine and his hold, like he’s staking his claim, telling me without words I belong to him.”

“He makes me feel safe, he makes me feel at peace, and he makes me feel cherished and wanted.“

Baiting him is a super sweet romance with sexy scenes thrown in. Chrissie takes a break from working nonstop to celebrate her friend's upcoming marriage. While at the party, she runs into the owner of the place, Gaston. He's attracted to her from the start but she thinks he's a player. It take a bit for her to agree to go out with him but once she does Chrissie is hooked. They have a lot of issues to work through but you know their love is strong and it affects in a positive way all the people around them. It's an enjoyable story with a happy ever after.

Another quick and fun read from ARR

Baiting Him is everything I love about reading an Aurora Rose Reynolds. Fun, flirting, and sexy! This one has an extra side of quirk that completely hit the spot. Gaston and Lefou, yep they’re a package completely owned Christie’s heart as well as mine!

Here’s what I loved:
There was no beating around the bush with these two. Gaston knew what he wanted and went after it. He is very much the type of alpha we’ve come to know and love from this author.
The emotional aspect of their pasts helped to cement their foundation.
The steam in this one is just right. It was the perfect combination of light, sexy, flirty and fun.

Highly recommend if you’re looking for a quick and entertaining read!

I loved this book and finished it in one sitting. Chrissie and Gaston might be my new favorite couple. They were so sweet together and I love how he wasn't afraid to show his feelings. Their friends and family were amazingly supportive and I want to be just like Gaston's mom when I grow up. A great read for lighthearted romance without unnecessary drama.

So the title implies one thing, but the story is actually so much more than that and while I do hate how misleading the title is, I really love this author's books, so I will overlook that. Titles aside, it was a good read and I zipped through it in about a day. I really liked the characters and how they interacted and enjoyed reading about their journey to love.

I love this author. Her books are always so detailed. I read this book slow so I could read every detail. I loved the characters and the way they made this book amazing. I always look forward to her books and this one was no exception.

4.25 Stars / 3 Steam Fans

In many ways, this was a fun play on the fairytale of Beauty and the Beast. Chrissie is an independent, robust, and sassy bakery owner that finds herself on Gaston's radar after a bachelorette party. Gaston owns the bar where the bachelorette party is being held and takes notice of Chrissie when she exits the men's room. I enjoyed this meet-cute, and the two of them didn't instantly hook up. Chrissie played hard to get; Gaston pursues her relentlessly to the point that when things finally work out, it was so sweet and swoony. I didn't think the extra twist was needed, but it worked well enough that it didn't spoil the story. I hope there will be more books in this series of standalones.
