I absolutely loved Chrissie’s story. I couldn’t put it down. I read this whole book in one afternoon. I couldn’t wait for her story and what a great story we got!

These two characters were so much fun to read about. Gaston is one of those alpha heroes that makes us swoon every other page. I absolutely fell in love with their story.

I received a free advanced copy of this book from Net Galley in exchange for my honest and voluntary review.

I don’t want to spoil this book so let’s just say that if you are a fan of ARR then you will absolutely love this story.

Entertaining
Unputdownable
Hot romance
And a love story that will leave your heart full.

Baiting Him is super cute. We met Cassie in the first book of the series. She's a very sweet heroine with a bit of an emotional side to her. She's always there for everyone around her, and she protects the ones she loves even when she is hurting.

Gaston (love that name) is actually a toned down alpha from what I am used to seeing from this author. I mean, he's still alpha and protective but he wasn't as "caveman" as ARR's usual heroes. He came off more gentlemanly. He treated Cassie like a man should. He was also a sweet mama's boy.

There isn't very much conflict in the story which makes this a nice low angst read. There is some family drama but not much couple drama. I really like in a book. There was a small bit of ow drama as well, but I really loved how Gaston handled it.

If you are looking for a fun, feel good story, this series is perfect. I hope there will be more to come.

3.5 stars
Another ARR story about love. If you read ARR before, you know her formula for romance. No real surprises in this book. They only real thing that shocked me was that Chrissie's parents don't have a great relationship. Besides that Chrissie and Gaston's relationship is basically drama free and more insta love.

I really enjoyed this book. It hooked me quick and kept me reading. Some things were a little strange (sibling names anyone?) but I really loved the story. Little to no angst here, so if you want a sweet love story, this book is your ticket.

ARC received for review

Loved Gaston and Chrissie and their romance. He wasn't taking no for an answer, and she didn't fight to hard. Just a great book, and I love his name and his dog's name. Gaston is no villain, but the perfect man (and maybe an alien).

Dear editor (or maybe I should address this to Ms. Reynolds)...make sure someone has read the first book to catch continuation issues in book two. At the end of book one her BFF has a little girl and is pregnant with a second girl. In this book at the end the BFF has the girl, but the second child has changed to a boy. Sorry for the spoiler, but this just bugs me.

Thank you to NetGalley and Montlake Romance for granting my request for an ARC of this book. The review below is entirely my own opinion.

I loved this story! I loved the characters. The banter between Gus and Chrissie is awesome; so many lines had me laughing out loud.

If you like how ARR tells a story, I'm pretty sure you'll really like this book. In fact, I highly recommend it!

Can't wait to read more from this series!

Another fantastic story from one of my favorite authors!! Baiting Him is book 2 in the How to Catch an Alpha series and it was just as good as the first. What I really love about all the books by this author is the the insta-love between the two characters. After reading some heavier books, it is really comforting to read a low angst and fun read. Gaston and Chrissie’s story was this and so much more! I absolutely loved their first encounter, the banter and chemistry was fantastic. The reaction to his name and then his cat’s name was hilarious!! But even with the mutual attraction, Chrissie could not and would not trust it. Unfortunately for her, after a bit of encouragement from his best friend, Gaston was in hot pursuit.

I loved this book so much! There were some issues with Chrissie’s family that caused a bit of angst and an annoying admirer of Gaston, but the relationship between Chrissie and Gaston was so strong and so very hot that their happily ever after was inevitable. It was all so very good!

Thank you to Netgalley and Montlake Romance for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book. All opinions are my own.

Another winner by ARR, I couldn’t put this one down!!

I’ve been waiting for Chrissie’s book since I met her in book one... she and Gaston aka Gus definitely lived up to my expectations!

Not only is Gus hot (I mean Gaston..hellooo haha) and he’s sweet and hot (it’s worth saying twice lol).

The way they met had me full on laughing I thought it was hysterical. I won’t give too much away just know you’ll laugh during their first meeting and interaction.. as well as be awed by Gaston!

I loved Chrissie’s character, she has a huge heart that makes you wish she were real so you could be her best friend IRL.

There’s some drama ... familial and otherwise. I won’t get too deep into this but I was with Chrissie and shared her anger (that’s good writing!).

I also love that we got to see some of Leah and Tyler from book one.

Gaston and Chrissie’s story was everything I’d hoped for and I really loved that when Chrissie wasn’t willing to just fall at Gaston’s feet he was there ready and willing to go after what he wanted.... *sigh*

Must read for you alpha lovers!!

I am I awe of this author!! This book is absolutely amazing!! The characters are so well developed and written. The entire book brought me to tears. I laughed, fell in love, wanted to scream at Chrissie's father, wanted to punch the bar manager. Gaston's mother is an amazing woman as is Chrissie's. Both show such strength. This is by far my most favorite book from this author, and that is such a hard choice!!!! I definitely recommend this book!! Did I mention hilarious and so scorching hot?? Beautiful!!!!

I absolutely loved Baiting Him there was just so much depth in this book, This is definitely the quality you expect from this author. She knows how to pull at your heart strings and make you connect with the charecters. I struggled putting this book down and I just wanted more as the people in this book became more than just charecters on paper. I honestly hope everyone loves this book as much as I have. Happy Reading ♡

Nice story! I love the crossovers with other characters. Some sad moments with parent relationships, but lots of healing in the end. Mild other woman drama....only one sided. HEA and great epilogues!

Another great addition to the series! An easy read, with the perfect amount of fluff, I enjoyed their story and look forward to more of this series.

Baiting Him is a fun, low-stakes romp that’s easy to finish in one sitting. Chrissie doesn’t have time anything besides work. Her bakery, The Sweet Spot, is getting more and more successful by the minute. So when she meets bar owner, Gaston, on one of the few nights she actually goes out, she’s skeptical of his attention. But Gaston is persistent, and it becomes clear that they might have what it takes to go the distance.

This is my first time reading a novel by Aurora Rose Reynolds, and I appreciated the overall lightheartedness of the story. There’s no big conflict that rips the heroine and the hero apart for a certain amount of time, nor is there any real angst. It’s as light and delicious as one of Chrissie’s cookies. That’s not to say that the entire plot is devoid of conflict or deeper emotions; they just aren’t at the core of the story.

Take this with you poolside with a cool, refreshing drink, and prepare to be entertained.

Chrissie & Gaston got me, hook, line & sinker! *grin* This story is all the things I love about this author - insta-love but still a chase, steam, swoony goodness, humor, friendships, family... EVERYTHING! Oh, and an adorable pupper named LaFou... YEP!

I love the relationships & characters & the feeling of HAPPY I had at the end of the story. : )

This story was really sweet.
It wasn't as insta as other books by the author but when the couple meet they feel an instant connection but it is taken at a more realistic pace.
There is some obvious other woman drama brewing but nothing too drastic between her and the Hero.
There are no intimate scenes other than the Hero and heroine.
No cheating.
Family issues for the heroine.
HEA.
Epilogue.
Secondary characters introduced for possible future storylines.

Ooooooooh she did it again!! I loved this book!! This is Chrissie and Gaston book, Chrissie is a baker and Gaston owns a few night clubs! Chrissie is a workaholic and has no time for hot sexy men like Gaston! Gaston works so much at his nightclubs he doesn't have time for romance! But he'll make time for the sexy woman who smells like cupcakes, makes him laugh, and makes him want more in life than just working at his nightclubs! This book had everything! It was funny, sexy, had some light drama and suspense! And it was 🔥🔥🔥!! Lol definitely don't miss out on this one! Thank you Netgalley and the publishers for sharing this book with me!

5 Star Read!

The story of Gaston and Chrissie is pure perfection! You get all the feels while reading this book. I laughed. I cried. I yelled. It all eventually comes together in the most perfect way.

Gaston knows the minute he meets Chrissie, she is something special. Chrissie has a hard time determining what Gaston’s true intentions are. She does not want to be just another girl to him. Plus, she has some things from her past that stall her in making a decision to move forward.

When she finally gives in to her feelings and takes a chance, fireworks explode! The chemistry they have together is a once in a life time thing.

Gaston and Chrissie deal with some pretty serious stuff together, but since they always have each others back, they get through it and come out stronger in the end.

Lefou = LOL!

I am so excited for the 3rd book in this series. Aurora Rose Reynolds is one of my favourite authors to read <3

This was an awesome story and I loved every second of it. It is second in the series but the first couple from the 1st book are only seen a few times so its lightly connected. The first book starred Leah and Tyler and in this book they are getting hitched and Chrissie is Leah's best friend and her brides maid. The story begins at her bachelorette party in a night club called Twilight.

How many times have women stood in line at the bathroom? Way to many. Well that is what happens to Leah and so she sneaks off to the mens bathroom and thats how she runs into Gaston, the clubs owner. They meet and are into lust but Chrissie thinks he will be something she regrets so she walks away.

Only Gaston can't stop thinking about her and so he tracks her down at work and well thats when the fun begins. I would say this was instalove but its definitely instalust. Chrissie leads a very busy life and men are very far down her list . Gaston has never felt this way for another woman she he chases Chrissie a lot in this story.

They are both very busy people in relation to their job but they manage to find time for each other. This story takes place around the holidays and I really loved it. It is in a dual pov but we see more of Chrissie than Gaston. There is also a person causing havoc in Gaston's life. It never reaches life or death issues but I guess you could say this person becomes a nuissance. In any case I truly loved this story.
