I don't even know where to start! I was hooked from the first page, and could do nothing but laugh with the names! Gaston. Chrissie. The dog. It's an insta love romance, Gaston pursues chrissie when he sees her at his club. It was such a sweet short read, but I was pulled in from the beginning! You definitely dont want to miss out on reading this book! And read the first book first, since these characters make their appearance in it!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book.

You know what they say about great expectations, right? Well, I don’t know what they say, but I know that going into a book with them is a risk. In this case, after reading the blurb for Baiting Him -and having read my fair share of ARR’s books- I was definitely expecting something else.

We get the usual set up (which I don’t mind in the least) where the hunky and successful Gaston lays eyes on the sweet and wonderful Chrissy and after talking to her he knows she’s it for him.

Gaston was set on pursuing Chrissy, and even though he was all possessive and protective I found the fact that he kept “giving her time” to acclimate to the idea of them as a couple quite weird. I mean, I was expecting OTT-warp-speed.

I found Chrissy very hard to connect to. I felt her issues were out of proportion to her reality, making her border on dramatic to me. I’m not a big fan of dramatics, and her daddy issues drove me to violence, I mean you’re an adult, deal with the divorce! Ok, so it was a bit more complicated than that, but sheesh!

We still get the romance, and the sexiness and the “I want you in my house” stuff I love so much about these books, but the “danger” aspect fell completely flat for me. It felt forced and ended up detracting from the storyline rather than adding more depth to the plot.

While not my favorite book by the author, I still had fun and enjoyed my time with these characters. Will Baiting Him go to my re-read list? Nope. But I still love Ms. Reynolds’s books and I will continue to read her romances.

We met Chrissie in the first book in the series. She owns a successful bakery and doesn't make time foe herself. She has put dating on the back burner to focus on her business. She meets a handsome club owner and things start to change for her. Gaston doesn't take no for an answer he is very persistent and goes after what he wants.

These two have great chemistry are perfect for each other I was so glad when Chrissie finally gave Gaston a chance. This was a fun fast paced read. I really enjoyed this story and am looking forward to more of Aurora Rose Reynolds work.

This was a cute and easy read. I felt like something was missing but the book was enjoyable. I will continue to read the rest of the series.

If this author writes a new book, I am one clicking faster than my fingers can move sometimes. A total go-to author because I know she won't let me down when I need my alpha - male fix. And this story was no different. I absolutely loved how Gaston went after Chrissie and made sure he got the girl.

Baiting Him was such an amazing story that I'm still sitting here trying to figure out how the hell I came to the How to Catch an Alpha series party late?! Like I'm one book in, and I'm here for the rest. Gaston is the owner of 3 very successful bars, and has no problem with women, even when they making huge advances. However, the night he comes across Chrissie at one of his bars, it knocked his world for a loop. Even better, she actually deflects his advances as she tells him to leave her alone. She's a 33 year old business owner who hasn't had luck in the picking of men department, so she's perfectly fine going through life alone at this point. Plus, she works all day, 7 days a week in her bakery, The Sweet Spot, so even if she wanted a relationship, she has no free time. The only reason she was at Gaston's bar that night, was because they were celebrating her bestie almost being married. It's not that she wasn't affected by him, because they had some serious sparks, but she was convinced he was a player. As they're navigating through what fate wants them to do, there's someone in Gaston's life who isn't about to let him go to another woman. That made for some great twists which allowed for f-bomb dropping (my favorite), so this was the trifecta of perfect in my eyes. So, if you want to know how it all panned out, you'll have to actually one click on Baiting Him to find out! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

I really enjoyed this book especially because of Gaston, at first I was like surely that can’t be his name but it grew on me and then finding out he had a dog named Lefou just sealed the deal on how much I loved this man. Gaston is a hot alpha male who works hard, knows exactly what he wants, and goes for it. I loved how much he wanted to get to know Chrissie more, so he pursued her hard and got what he wanted. Chrissie is a bakery owner and she works so hard for her business that she rarely takes time off for herself so when her and Gaston become a couple, she finds herself wanting more time with him and worrying less about her bakery. She is hesitant about a relationship because of what she saw her mother go through after her parents divorced but Chrissie wants her happily ever after, so she goes with it. Gaston and Chrissie have an amazing chemistry and they fall head over heels with each other, but I wished that the dilemma/drama wouldn't have ended so abruptly. If you want a steamy read that has an alpha man that takes care of those, he loves then this book is for you

Baiting Him by Aurora Rose Reynolds is a bit of an insta-love story that was sweet and charming. Chrissie is a busy woman. Running her bakery gives her very little free time, but it makes her happy. A man is the last thing she needs right now. Gaston is a man used to female attention not having them turn him away. But he knows Chrissie is a woman worth fighting for. I loved watching him go all out for her. This was seriously swoony, fun and delightful.

Happy reading!

Chrissie and Gaston meet in his nightclub and she basically tells him to go away. They don’t exactly hit it off at the first go but Gaston is taken with her. He slowly wins her over, and when she finds out they live in the same building, I giggled because that is just perfect heh.

He has a dog named LeFou, which hello is seriously so adorable. I find myself smiling with these characters, there is so much chemistry between them. Their love and interactions with each other only make the book more enjoyable to read.

This book is part of a series but can be read as a standalone, as I did.

Gaston (yes his real name) and Chrissie have a chance meeting at a club and have a whirlwind romance with a small amount of mystery thrown in for good measure.

I don't think I have ever read a book in the Alpha male genre, Gaston is very demanding yet sweet and caring; very loyal and supportive. I have not truly encountered a character like him before and it was an interesting take on a male lead. The mystery and twist was somewhat unnecessary and the romance moved at lightning speed. But in the end, it was a sweet story with engaging characters.

What can I say Aurora never let's me down, I have yet to read a book that I haven't loved. Every character has their own character and these characters where perfect for each other! The only downside is Aurora books read so fast and now I'm left needy! Excellent book!! Happy reading!!

This is the perfect feel good story! It was super sweet and just made me smile. It had a fun story line and gives you all the swoony feelings. There was a sort of cat a mouse game between the characters that was intriguing. It was a little more on the sweeter side than I typically enjoy but it is the perfect story if you need something that will leave you smiling.

I’m so glad I chose this book to start off my 2020 reading!
I LOVED IT!!!
A definite must read!!!

Baiting Him is the second book in the, How To Catch An Alpha series, but it can also be read as a standalone.
Aurora Rose Reynolds is spot on when it comes to the chemistry between Chrissie and Gaston. Their romance is the stuff fairy tales are made of.

Overall I loved the feel good vibes. There is a little angst mixed in but the relationship portion of this novel is epic and on point. I couldn't put this one down. From start to finish it consumed my every thought and my day. I can't even begin to describe how much I love ARR's AlphaMales! I need more Gaston's in my reading.

I love Aurora's book and love the fact that they always include some sort of plot twist that you never expect. I also love the alphas and how they will do what they have to to get the girl that they want. I cannot wait to read more in this series.

This is Chrissie and Gaston’s story and it is a well written, sweet, heart-warming, and enjoyable instant love romance story. I was totally hooked throughout this addictive page turner, and I highly recommend for all readers.

Baiting him Aurora Rose Reynolds

Christie is in a posh nightclub on her friends bachelorette party she goes to the ladies room which is packed out then makes the choice to go into the gents, as it’s empty, she passes this nugget of information to another lady. Gaston is the club owner who watches all this play out. He tells her off as the gents is now full of women and the men cannot get in! She is feisty and he falls for her from the offset.

Lovely story beautifully written though I did feel it was a little slow to get started, compared to Aurora Rose Reynolds other books still a very good story so stick with it. 4.5/5
