It started out sort of interesting and i wanted to give it a try.
But it quickly fell flat for me. I did not like any of the characters mostly. I liked the cats but the story just was not interesting.

Well written, entertaining, lighthearted and fun romance, with a sprinkle of magic and the paranormal. My thanks got to NetGalley and the publisher for the eARC.

While clearing out her late mother's home in Cat's Paw Cove, Florida, Molly Hendrickson finds an unusual antique necklace. Wearing it makes her feel confident and sexy--things she hasn't felt since her ex broke off their engagement or, really, ever. She decides to keep the jewel but takes other items to Black Cat Antiquities, the local antique store, to have them appraised. Lucian Lord, a reincarnated 12th century knight, moved to Cat's Paw Cove after a scandal in which he revealed his magical abilities to his former girlfriend. Demoted by his superiors, he's running the antiques shop while his grandfather is on vacation. But, when Molly brings in artifacts tainted by dark magic, Lucian is duty-bound to find and contain the dangerous energy before it wreaks havoc not only on the town, but the world. Living by the knightly code of honor, Lucian vows to help Molly, especially when he realizes the necklace is the source of the ancient magic he's hunting. He's determined to save his headstrong damsel and redeem his tarnished reputation--but first, things will get very, very hot.
This was a fun read that had me glued to every page. I liked both Lucian and Molly as well as Galahad. I can’t wait to read more from this author. I highly recommend.

Princess Fuzzypants here: I keep saying I am not a huge romance fan and yet with each book of this series I read, I enjoy the stories thoroughly. Whether it is the cool and canny cats, the right touch of magic and the just enough lusty stuff to tickle the fancy without being too explicit, ,this one does not disappoint.
Lucian is a knight from the Middle Ages reincarnated time and again with his trusty squire Galahad who just happened to be turned into a cat when the two were cursed by an evil witch. This life, he is an antiques expert covering his grandfather’s store while he is off cruising. In walks Molly whose mother has died recently. She wants him to assess some of her belongings as she sorts through her late mother’s home. She brings in some interesting items but she also brings in the remnants of something sinister, something that could harm Molly and create a disaster.
Lucian is a guardian for good so he is enlisted to find out what the source of this evil is and try to protect Molly and the entire community from it’s darkness. Little does he realize but the ancient evil has a highly personal grudge to settle with him and is going to use everything possible, including Molly, to get revenge.
The humans are pretty neat but it is Galahad and the other kitties who rule. Galahad is a hoot, snarky and sassy and very, very funny. He is also a fine wing man. It all works out, as we know it will, but not without some thrilling moments.
Five purrs and two paws up.

Fun book with romance and a battle between good and evil. The book opens with a prologue telling how Lucian and his cat, Galahad, ended up in the position they are in. Lucian is a reincarnated knight whose mission is to track down objects with dark magic and contain them. He is in Cat's Paw Cove helping his grandfather with his antique shop after getting in trouble with his bosses for revealing his magical abilities to his non-magical girlfriend. The revelation did not save the relationship, so he's off relationships for the time being.

Molly is a third-grade teacher who is in Cat's Paw Cove to clear out her late mother's home before selling it. Her self-esteem took a hit when her fiancé broke off their engagement, and her mother's death added to her unhappiness. When she finds an unusual necklace and tries it on, it changes the way she sees herself.

I liked the first meeting between Molly and Lucian. He and Galahad first notice her as she stood in front of the shop. Lucian is attracted to her from the moment he sees her, a fact that isn't lost on Galahad. Galahad, who was formerly Lucian's squire, is a fourteen-year-old boy in a cat's body. It was fun to see Galahad stir up Lucian during Molly's first visit. Molly is just as attracted as Lucian and has a hard time concentrating around him.

Things start to get crazy when Molly takes some jewelry to Lucian but keeps the necklace for herself. On the professional side, Lucian's dark magic alarms go crazy every time Molly takes the necklace out of its special box, but because Molly puts it away quickly, Lucian has a hard time locating the source of the magic. Every time that Molly puts the necklace on, she feels sexier and more confident, and more determined to have Lucian. It quickly becomes clear that the dark magic has a personal connection to Lucian after a hair-raising confrontation at his shop. I ached for Lucian when instructions from his bosses made it look like his relationship with Molly would be over before it began. The final confrontation was intense and terrifying as Lucian battled to save Molly from the evil that followed him through the ages.

This was the darkest of the Cat's Paw Cove stories so far. The intensity of the danger Molly was in kept me glued to the pages until it was done. The evil was balanced by the depth of the love that Lucian and Molly felt for each other. That love played a huge part in the resolution of the final conflict. There was also an unexpected twist in the aftermath of the confrontation that had a big impact on Lucian and Molly's future.

On the lighter side, the cats were an essential part of the story. I loved Galahad and his relationship with Lucian. It was fun to see him rile Lucian up, especially when it came to Molly. He was also Lucian's biggest supporter and backup when danger came calling. The four Sherwood cats that belonged to Molly's mother turned out to be more than just pets. Their protectiveness of Molly was fun to see when Lucian came calling, and I loved the interactions between them and Lucian.

Such a fun read, I haven’t read any books by the author before but I’ll be looking out for more now. It’s fun, flirty, has cats (sorry talking cats !) do you need anything else, but yes it’s got great chemistry, nice writing and it’s sweet. Highly recommended read to make your day.

Molly discovers a new world when she finds a necklace left amongst her late mother’s things. Lucian serves to protect others from dark magic. He falls for Molly’s kindness quickly but has a history of bad luck with romance. Molly struggles with poor self-esteem after a horrible engagement left her hurt and afraid to take a chance. The necklace gives her power but, it is a dark power. This was a fun and adventurous installment of the Cat’s Paw Cove series.

This book was like paranormal meets the hallmark channel. It was sweet, funny, and exciting. I definitely fell a little bit in love with Lucian and Galahad. Molly was refreshingly normal and fun. I loved how seamlessly the magic worked into the story and the lives of the characters.

I was left, however, with so many questions at the end of the book.

<Spoiler>Will Galahad and the lovely sisters ever get to be human again? Do they want to be human? What will happen when Lucian and Molly die? Will they be reincarnated again? What will happen to the evil witch? </spoiler>

Maybe this is the beginning of more books about Lucian and Molly - or maybe this is just one step in many and all my questions will be answered!

Fans of paranormal with a side of sweetness will definitely love this story!

5 STARS!!!

I absolutely loved this story. Not only is there 1 talking cat but 5!! The relationship between Galahad and Lucian is a friendship for the ages. They have been stuck together for centuries and that bond comes across clearly in the writing. When Lucian and Molly meet you can see the sparks flying straight off the pages. This is my first visit to Cat's Paw Cove and I can honestly say it will not be my last. This is the 5th book in the series but I did not feel in the dark even though I had not read the first 4 in the series. Catherine Kean bridges the gap between the Lucian and Galahad's past and their modern future. I did not want the story to end and I hope that we get more of these characters, and cats, in future novels. Also, I would love to see Cora in more stories as well.

Thank you NetGalley and Catherine Kean for allowing me to read this ARC for my honest review.

A quick and fun read about a knight and his teenage squire (who is now a cat) living in the current time. When Molly comes into Lucian's story to get some items appraised after the death of her mother, he senses the evil entity that is on some of the items. To learn more he tries to get close to her, which is not hard since they are both attracted to each other. He works with a group that finds and gets control of black magic items. I did enjoy this one, especially the squire, who was a hoot. Wasn't crazy about the possession, and were some points that were not really defined, for example the ship that sank. First I've read, so not sure if this is part of a series, if so these questions may be answered in other books. Would highly recommend anyway, as I did enjoy this one. Fun read.

This was a good book. A reincarnated knight and his squire cat are working in an antique store where they track bad magic, in Catspaw Cove when they met Molly. Molly is settling her mother's estate when she finds a bad magical necklace. The knight and his squire are notified and work to gain Molly's trust before everything gets out of hand. Unfortunately they fail to do so and bad guys show up to help the bad witch who was possessing the necklace and mayhem ensues. In the end the knight and Molly get together and all is well. #HotMagic #NetGalley
