Brilliant little book about one of our nation's treasures. I have listened to David Attenborough's autobiography, so it was good to have this kid friendly version to read with my kids. Thank you.

Like other books in this series, it is a fun little introduction to inspiring people. Definitely a great way to introduce kids to biographies and a nice read for adults too. I would recommend all the books in this series.

This is a great series of books introducing children to some amazing people. This has to be one of my favourites, as a big fan of David Attenborough. There are some gorgeous illustrations and some interesting facts that were also new to me.
I would be really happy to share this with my son and children in school.

The Little People Big Dreams series are always great, and I'd always happily recommend any and all of them to customers. I'm yet to find one I don't like and they offer a great introduction to some fascinating people for kids (and in some cases adults too!).

Quite possibly my favourite of all the little people, big dreams collection. It encapsulates David Attenborough perfectly and is a worthy defender of the environment to belong with the others.

It's no secret that I love this series, but the illustrations of the young naturalist may be my favorite out of all the volumes I have read.

Sir David Attenborough is passionate about nature. He has always loved learning about how the natural world works. He created many tv shows about animals and nature. He was also knighted by the Queen for his work on documentaries about planet Earth.

I didn’t know some of these facts about Sir David Attenborough before reading this book. For example, there are many species of plants and animals named after him, such as a frog named Pristimantis Attenboroughi. He is an inspiring man who has done a lot of work to preserve our natural planet.

This is a great story to teach children about the life of Sir David Attenborough.

Thank you Frances Lincoln for providing a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Sanchez Vegara's David Attenborough explores the life of a most beloved naturalist. From a young age, Attenborough was fascinated by nature. He loved collecting fossils and other things of interest. When a friend sent him a wee dried seahorse, that's the moment he decided to become a naturalist. Since then, Attenborough has traveled the world, exploring nature and sharing his love of animals with the world. At the end is a section with more detailed information on Attenborough's life. Inspirational and educational both, this entire series is great, and full of delightful art to engage younger audiences!

***Many thanks to the Netgalley & Quarto Publishing for providing an egalley in exchange for a fair and honest review.

'David Attenborough' by Maria Isabel Sanchez Vegara with illustrations by Mikyo Noh is another great entry in the Little People, Big Dreams series of books for younger reader.

David Attenborough grew up in Leicester on a university campus where his father was a professor. His interest in the natural world was sparked young by seeing animals, and by collecting fossils. As he got older, he wanted to study animals in their native habitats instead of in zoos.

I overall love this series, but this one felt average. The illustrations were cute, and had the odd animal showing up, but this felt cutesy instead of natural, which I felt this particular subject warranted.

I received a review copy of this ebook from Quarto Publishing-Frances Lincoln Childrens, and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for allowing me to review this ebook.

Attenborough is certainly a figure I'd heard of. But I didn't really know anything about him. I can certainly appreciate the example that a passionate person provides, a lesson in the power of education.

At this point in time, I think it's pretty safe to say that most British adults know of David Attenborough’s ceaseless and important work in the nature and environmental field, and this is rightly what has cemented his status as a living legend and one of our most revered national treasures; however, our little ones perhaps do not recognise and/or comprehend his status. In this fantastic series known as Little People, Big Dreams, children are memorably introduced to some of the most renowned characters from across a whole spectrum of areas and introducing those who may go on to inspire our kids to strive to achieve great things themselves. This is by far the most solid, interesting and well-rounded of all of the books that feature in the series, and I would characterise it as a must-read for those heading somewhat towards their formative years on our humble planet.

We are introduced to this great man where it all began, his year of birth, and progress by charting the most important snippets of information detailing the prominent aspects of his early life, coming-of-age, forming of opinions and the unsurpassed awareness he has raised to some of the scariest and greatest environmental challenges of our generation and beyond. What's superb is there is just enough to enable a child to become curious yet not enough to overwhelm, which is crucial at this stage in their reading career, and the colourful, fun illustrations complement the text perfectly.

There is no doubt we need the younger generation to pick up the baton and develop an interest in areas such as climate control and the natural world, and I feel this does a superb job of creating a fascinating in these topics from early years. Insightful, informative and wonderfully engaging, this sets the groundwork for interest in activism without terrifying little people with the state we currently find ourselves. I cannot recommend this enough. Bravo! Many thanks to Quarto Publishing Group - Frances Lincoln Children's Books for an ARC.

A lovely addition to the series, with a timely message. The art in this one is engaging and the tone of the prose is appropriate. Very good. A must stock.

I have long admired David Attenborough and was excited to discover that he is now the subject of one of the Little People Big Dreams series.

This book was quite an education. With its familiar style of simple illustrations and short accessible text, we learn about Attenborough's childhood and what inspired his love of the natural world. Always accompanied by animals in the illustrations, this is an image of David Attenborough that is easy to picture in real life.

My only slight criticism would be that the image of David Attenborough 'today' with his concerns for ocean pollution looks as young as the image when he graduates from university, and I feel that for many young readers an image of him as an older man would be more familiar.

This is a book I will certainly consider for use in the classroom, perhaps with our eco-council and when learning about different parts of the natural world using clips from Attenborough documentaries.

I received an eARC of this book from the publishers via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This is another great addition to the Little People, Big Dreams series by Maria Isabel Sanchez Vegara. I just recently read the speech that David Attenborough gave to the UN about climate change so was happy to see this book for children. Young David grew up in Leicester on the campus of a university, where his father was a professor. As a child, he spent hours in the science library and on the grounds collecting, collating his specimens and creating a mini animal museum. He loved animals and nature, so when he was old enough to go to university, he studied science and zoology. He graduated, but wanted to be close to animals. He began working in television and was eventually given the chance to travel and observe animals in their natural habitat. He discovered new animals and told the stories of many animals that people had only ever seen in a zoo. After that, he began to teach children about saving the planet and what they could do to help the animals and save their habitats. This wonderful story features stylish and quirky illustrations that will appeal to young readers. There are also extra facts at the back, including a biographical timeline with historical photos and a detailed profile of the broadcaster's life that can be shared with older readers. I definitely recommend this book to all school and public libraries.

Come to think of it all her books. They are so adorable, colourful with lovely illustrations throughout and great for small children to learn about some of the wonderful people that were and are a part of our lives and did great things they did.
