I received an advanced reader copy of this book via netgalley and the publishers in exchange for an honest review.

What a cute book with lovely bright illustrations.
This book teaches children about different dinosaurs but also has a well meaning message within its tale - that everyone is special in different ways and not everything is always about you.
The back of the book gives activities to try using the book.
A lovely read which was even better for the hidden message within its pages.

Review to come in February 2020.

I received this book from Netgalley in exchange of an honest review.

Everyone who know me, know that I LOVE dinosaurs. Well, the older ones, not the chicken and feather ones that are so hot and happening right now. So when I saw this cute picture book about an Allosaurus I knew I had to try and get it. Thank you publisher for fulfilling my wish!

Big plus points for making the velociraptors look like how they are supposed to be! Not chickens! Thank you author/illustrator I just love you now.

This book is about an Allosaurus who is sick and tired of the T-rex getting all the spotlight while he himself is also very awesome! To which I agree. Don't get me wrong, I also love T-rex, but Allosaurus are also very awesome and kick-ass and very scary. So I was rooting for him. I had quite a laugh at what happens next, though I also felt sad for the Allosaurus and wish he would be a bit more assertive and stronger. I get these are your friends, but your friends should understand. You can always tell them you are writing a book about them later. No worries. No foul. Still, I did think it was sweet that he continued, and I loved that his friends realised what they did later on. That was really sweet of them.

But yes, I came here for an Allosaurus and instead got all the other dinosaurs and a bit of an Allosaurus. I am bit sad about that. I love dinosaurs, and I love that he has so many friends, but come on, I wanted only the Allosaurus! Oh well. :( I guess if I read the blurb I would have known, but I just fell in love with the title and the cover.

The art however was fantastic. Though the illustrator should have kept the sizes of the dinosaurs the same throughout. Now it was a bit off at times. For instance the Allosaurus and the velociraptor are the same size at times here. Which isn't correct at all. I know this is a picture book, but come.

But all in all, I still had fun reading this one. Some disappointment here and there but in overall I am happy I had the chance to read this book. Dinosaurs for the win!

You can.never have enough dinosaur books! All About Allosaurus is definitely one for the collection. Fabulous illustrations and teaching children about selflessness.

Thank you for the opportunity to read and review this cute book. It had great illustrations and was very colorful. It had a wonderful story for kids to learn that it is not just about "you" and it is about everyone. I love a good children's book with a great message.

Delightful book! Dinosaurs are a never-ending source of excitement and stimulation for my elementary school students.
Allosaurus feels a bit out-of-joints and even a bit jealous of the attention T-Rex commands. He decides to write a book just about himself which doesn't quite play out. Not only is this a book that touches on so many emotional and social subjects but a source of educational information about several types of dinosaurs.
Children will be able to identify with a description of dinosaurs that reflect certain behaviors about themselves. The illustrations are vivid and inviting. Ultimately, the message of inclusion and kindness rings through. It is certain to appeal, on some way, to every reader.
What's especially interesting is the page at the book's conclusion that will further the meaning and fun of the book for the teacher as well as the class.
