Miranda and Nick change from enemies to lovers!

Miranda Collins and her friends swore an oath in high school to never date any of the King brothers after he broke her heart but her friends have broken the oath and Miranda is the only who still cared about the oath. Miranda didn’t want to talk to Nick King but after he bought the company on the day she was interviewing for a job after getting fired from her last one. Miranda thought everything was a challenge and Nick King is the biggest challenge she has faced but working with him at the new company has totally changed what she thought of him. Nick King is used to women doing what he wants but Miranda challenges him every day.

Anyone but Nick is the third book in the series and I recommend that you read them in order because each story adds more to the series because each couple changes from enemies to lovers.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Solid 4.5 sweet, funny romance. The third and final book in the "Anyone But" series, Anyone But Nick tells Nick and Miranda's story while wrapping things up nicely. It's my favorite of the series, and the most sweet and straight forward.

It's got plenty of laughs, some highly relatable feelings, and a bit of intrigue, plus dogs! Though it can definitely be read as a standalone, the story is made much more rich by Rich and Kira and Cade and Iris.

ANYONE BUT NICK (Anyone But… Book #3) by Penelope Bloom is the third book in the King Brothers contemporary romance trilogy. This one is an enemies-to-lovers romance that can be read as a standalone, but I preferred to read them in order to see each of the brothers fall and keep all of the connections and timelines straight between characters.

In high school. Miranda always felt a special connection to Nick King. When she finally built up the courage to slip a poem into his locker to let him know, she does not sign it and it is the cause of a seven-year misunderstanding and her hatred of Nick King.

Miranda has her life all planned out in steps to get her to the top of the corporate ladder with the perfect mate. But it has all fallen apart. She broke up with her perfect boyfriend and was fired from her perfect job. When she goes to apply for a new VP position, she can not believe Nick King just bought the business.

Nick is impressed by Miranda’s resume, but he wants more. He never understood what happened to their friendship in high school and he has never been truly satisfied with any other woman. Nick gives Miranda the job. Will he be able to work with Miranda on a strictly professional level or will they be able to give their friendship a second chance and turn it into more?

I enjoyed Nick trying to find the right way to deal with Miranda, while not treading all over her feelings, but I had a difficult time warming up to Miranda. I did not understand why she was so set on her professional persona when her best friends and family were all fine with the real Miranda. It took her too long to figure that out. Once Cade got involved, I enjoyed the story more and Miranda started to loosen up. The sex scenes are explicit, but not gratuitous.

This is a good close to the trilogy, but not my favorite of the three books. I loved reading the epilogue that showed the families all happy in the near future. This is a fun and entertaining trilogy to read.

What fitting ending to a fun series! Nicks HEA was filled with laugh out moments from start to finish that will make you smile. I enjoyed the coming together of Nick and Miranda which was sweet, steamy and so worth the wait. Sad to see this series end but glad to have experienced it with it well written storyline and wonderful likable characters that you won’t forget.

I love this series. It’s just lighthearted but sexy at the same time. Not over the top but still entertaining! I’ve read the other two in this series as well so I was excited to get my hands on Nick! Loved the premise of the brothers and the best friends, excited to read more by this author.

This is the third book in the Anyone But series. I read the first two and really enjoyed them so I was excited for Nick's story. This story features Nick and Meredith. It is told in duel point of view which is one of my favorite writing styles. I like knowing what each character is thinking.

Meredith and Nick knew each other in high school. Meredith had a crush on Nick and left him a poem, but he thought it was from someone else and ended up dating her. This upset Meredith and her friends decided to make an oath not to ever date one of the brothers. Nick and his two brothers Rich and Cade. The first two books are Rich and Cade's story.

This story takes place 7 years later. Nick is back and is helping a struggling company and Meredith just broke up with her boyfriend and lost her job. She went in for an interview not realizing Nick was there. Now working for Nick feelings come back between the two. Nick has feelings for Meredith, but feels she will be better without him. Meredith still has feelings for Nick.

I love how Nick and Meredith had a chance to grow and build their relationship in this book and how his brothers and her friends had an active role in this book.

I really enjoyed this series!

I found one part of the story (an unfortunately key part for the plot to develop) completely unlikely, and it ruined the story for me. I do not know a single woman, let alone a highly successful, intelligent woman, would just pick up someone at the airport they didn't know and take them to an office retreat. Regardless of the "potential" benefits. The book for me does have one thing that almost saves it however an utterly hilarious series of events involving Watermelon. Seriously. Still chuckling at that whole fiasco.

This is the conclusion to a trilogy about three billionaire brothers and the girls who got away in high school. Nick and Miranda missed their moment through a misunderstanding, but now they might have a second chance, when Miranda applies for a VP job at a company Nick and his brothers just acquired. Of course, they mutually agree that it would be a bad idea to get involved. Very bad.

Good, not great. The antics of the Rich brothers are less endearing and more annoying than they (or the author) think they are. Miranda seems to have an eating disorder that’s never addressed except as a quirky personality trait. And no one in this book knows how to take care of a dog.

This is the 3rd book in this phenomenal series and is Miranda and Nick’s story. This is a beautifully written tale which has a tad drama, and is filled with witty banter, undeniable chemistry, and is a sweet, humorous and entertaining read. I was totally captivated throughout this addictive page turner, and I highly recommend for all readers.

Love this book. Nick is probably my favorite in this series. I just adored him. I wasnt a fan of Miranda in the previous books, but she definitely improved herself in this one. A really great book by Penelope.

Thank you Netgalley, the author and publisher for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I liked this book. It has the characters from other books in it. I love to see what is happening with them.
Nick is a smart and handsome man. He is hard to get. But not as in, I play with you. He is mysterious. He knows what he wants, but doesn't know how to achieve it, without losing it in the process.
Miranda is also smart and a successful business woman. She knows what she wants and how to achieve it. But not when it comes to Nick. They have a past, but can they overcome it? Read the book and see for youself. I really liked it.
I received an earc from the author and am leaving an honest review.

Out of the three friends Miranda has always appeared to be the one who is having it all both personally and professionally until it is gone and she is left picking up the pieces. The first thing on the agenda is a job and she is determined to wow at the interview until she finds out that the owner is none other than her nemesis and the man who broke her heart years ago.

Nick and Miranda were friends in school and he doesn’t know where it went wrong as she stopped talking to him and would have nothing to do with him. Now that they are working together he is determined to find out what happened but when the truth is revealed will this be their second chance or are they destined to end in heartbreak once again?

I enjoyed watching the relationship between Nick and Miranda unfold and it was great to catch up with the other characters that we know and love from this series as well.

I have loved this series and have wanted this story since Anyone But Rich came out. Nick and Miranda did not disappoint. When Miranda starts a new job under Nick, the fireworks start. The banter between these two had me laughing and ping oh my gosh! 🤣 There of course is some drama by a ding bat of an ex, who just doesn’t understand no and it’s over. I kinda wish there were more King brothers. I loved seeing The other King men and their significant women. Of course, Cade will have you laughing with his commentary. Don’t miss out on this great story and characters.

4.5 stars - Anyone But Nick is a very satisfying read. The H and h crushed on each other in high school, but neither knew about the other’s feelings. Then there was a love letter that was supposed to be anonymous, but thanks to some rain, it appeared to be signed. The story begins seven years since the last time they’ve seen each other and only heats up from there. I thoroughly enjoyed this one.

This series was such a fun read. You should definitely read them in order to get the full picture. I think Nick may have been my favorite brother though. Of the three, he was certainly the one who deserved a second chance, since he never really did anything wrong to begin with. This story was cute and entertaining. The relationship between Miranda and Nick was sometimes frustrating, but they were a great match.

The King Brothers sure do keep you on your toes! They are funny, sexy and smoldering hot, leaving the woman they love hating them and for good reason. Now we have Nick, this is his story and the last book in the series. Nick and Miranda have been playing cat and mouse for years now and a misunderstanding put this all in motion and years later brings them back together again. Mirana down on her luck and all her friends shacked up with the other King brothers, she’s left to work side by side with the man she’s crushed on for years. The only thing is Nick has felt the same about her all along, the question I ask is, what’s going to happen when she finds out what really happened all those years ago? You need to read to find out. I found this book on NetGalley.

“Maybe the way it worked out was the only way that would bring us here.”
“Sweaty, scratched to hell, and three miles of walking from civilization?”
“Together,” he said.

Nick, Miranda, and their cohort of friends and siblings have run the town of West Valley while intermingling with each other. When Miranda and her best friends Iris and Kira were wronged by the brothers in high school, the girls make a pact that they will never fall for a King brother. Fate had other plans. As Cade and Rich, the other King brothers, paired off with Iris and Kira, Nick and Miranda are thrown together more and more. Stifled feelings and uncovered misconceptions bring the two together, where they should have been in the first place.

“There are some things you just take ownership of. It doesn’t mean they are yours. It means you decide that taking care of them matters more than anything else—that you’ll sacrifice whatever it takes to keep them happy and safe.”

I was so into this book when I started it! I love a good transition from hate to love (read The Hating Game by Sally Thorne). Miranda and Nick seemed to genuinely distrust each other from the start. What was missing in this book was pacing and detail. I’m not talking long drawn out chapters but the author needed to flush things out more than she did. We needed more detail about Miranda's recently ended relationship. We needed more detail about Miranda getting the Bark Bites job. We needed more detail or even just more plotting around that ultimatum that Max Frost gives. This has the bones to be good but falls a little short.

Ok, I"m going to be honest here. When I started this series I wasn't sure I would finish it. I didn't love the first one but I liked it enough to see where the series would go. I think this one might be my favorite. I've been looking forward to Nick's and Miranda's book since the beginning and I wasn't disappointed.
I enjoy this author's writing style and ABN was sweet, funny with very little drama and just enough romance.

This is a great read in the Anyone but series about the King brothers.
Miranda has hated Nick King for the last 7 years but it looks like she may be working for him now.
I loved their chemistry and the fun times they have together but someone is trying to come between them.
Will they get their HEA?
