This was a funny book about a cat with a big character! It will appeal to children of all ages, to read themselves or have it read to them. Looking forward to reading more adventures of Marshmallow!!

Marshmallow Marmaduke Vanilla-Bean Sugar-Pie Fluffington-Fitz-Noodle, or Marshmallow Pie for short, is a haughty and spoilt cat. He lives with his human Amelia, who excitedly wants to enter him into auditions for a pet agency.

The story is hilariously told from the viewpoint of PIe. The author has a very detailed knowledge of cat behaviour. Known for their fiercely independent nature, you can really imagine that Pie is actually thinking all of the things he says in the story. Vulliamy gives a very amusing account of the life of a cat (even the secret bits they don't want their humans to know).

Nothing goes according to plan, which you would expect when trying to train/tame a cat!

Fantastic illustrations as to be expected from this talented author.

An ideal early chapter book for newly confident readers.
