Take heed of the warning at the beginning of this book - there is rape, gore, violence and then some. Even for me, with a normally cast iron constitution with this type of thing had to step back a couple of times. That said, this is a solid thriller which is fast paced with a decent story holding it up.

The main character, Ed, and his boyfriend Peter are likeable (while just about everyone else in the book isn't so much) so I was disappointed we left them where we did, I wanted just a little bit more of an epilogue. There were a couple of tiny editing errors but not enough to detract from overall enjoyment of the book.

First of all, this is normally not my type of genre but I still found it interesting when I read the synopsis.
And I was really not disappointed.

First of all. There's a lot of trigger warnings such as rape, torture, abuse and so on, so if you don't like to read about those things, then this is not for you.
It didn't take me long to finish it, because I honestly just wanted to know what would happen next. I'm really good at guessing the plot twists in books, and even though I guessed them all in this one as well, I still enjoyed it, and it was not easy to put it down.
This book is dark and creepy... It'll make you think twice before you trust the person behind the screen again.
