Catherine Bybee writes Interesting stories with well rounded characters that you root for throughout. This one touches on an important issue for me, the California wildfires (the second in this series) and again she can bring the personal for an interesting, atypical, romance not afraid to tackle tough topics like abuse. |
A beautifully written story that I read within a day!. The storyline is just beautiful, and with the underlying tones of romance, suspense and a little bit of mystery thrown together makes up a truly incredible read. I adored the characters and their individual personalities, and the ways in which the characters interacted throughout was heart warming. The setting of the book was portrayed wonderfully and I could certainly picture it clearly in my mind, it had me daydreaming of wandering along the small town's streets.. A beautiful, heart warming read that leaves you wanting more. I truly loved this book. |

Another great enjoyable read from Catherine Bybee. If you enjoy her books then this does not disappoint with drama and a love story. Thank you Netgalley |
Catherine Bybee has done it again. This is a wonderful story about good work ethic by both Dameon and Grace. They also have strong family ties. I wish this wasn’t the end of this series but I love seeing the many characters from the first two books in this one. Grace has worked hard and loves being an engineer but can’t stand her boss. Dameon is trying to build a new development. They’ve met several times and the words Ms. Bybee brings their attraction to life. This is why I love her books so much. No couple has an easy time but their are bad guys as well so it keeps you wanting to keep reading right to the last page. Can’t wait to see what she’s going to write next!!!! |

I love when I find an author that I haven’t read before that I enjoy; even better when the book I found is part of a series, which this one is! This is the second book in the Creek Canyon Series, and I really enjoyed it, You don’t need to read the first book to enjoy this one, though I believe some of the characters and their storyline started there. It is clear from the start of the story that Erin Fleming is a woman with a story and a tough pst - and that she is hiding from something or someone. Matt Hudson is a firefighter whose biggest troubles probably involve fending off females that fawn over handsome men in uniform. Erin has caught Matt’s eye, and Erin is really trying to avoid her attraction to Matt. Some unfortunate things happen that leave Erin wondering if her past has caught up with her, and if she will ever be able to trust anyone or anything again, without putting the people she cares about in danger. Can she move beyond her past? Can Matt help? You’ll have to read the book to find out more! This was an entertaining read that mixes romance, suspense, and a little bit of mystery together. I loved the characters, especially Matt - he was so sweet and understanding throughout the story. I found myself staying up late just to read a little bit more... I received a copy of this book through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. |

The story revolves a woman in hiding from her abusive ex-husband, a new laove and firefighters. I thought it was way too predictable and while I finished it, I really didn't enjoy it. |
This was an enjoyable book to read. The characters were well written and the romance was pleasant and done in a realistic way. The story was easy to follow and I was able to read this book in one sitting. The setting was beautiful and who doesn’t love a small town romance. The interaction with the secondary characters flowed well. A truly wonderful reading experience. |

A great storyline, a lot of drama, twists and mystery with romance thrown in from firefighter Matt and Erin who was in hiding from an abusive husband, lovely family and Parker and her family, they became the family she was missing. |
Erin and Matt are such a great couple. I love how they both start out so awkward around each other when otherwise they are totally confident people. While both of the characters were introduced in the previous book in the series, there is no reason you can't read this as a stand-alone. From a story perspective, this is classic Bybee. The characters are genuine and real. The chemistry is natural and unforced. And the story is engaging. Another five star read from one of my favorite and most consistent authors. |

Whilst I really enjoyed this novel, I also didn’t! To me it felt like there was tension building all along. I actually had to read the ending first! However I am a bit of a wuss and so whilst not really my cup of tea, a great well written and crafted novel |

A heart wrenching emotional story that will leave you thinking for quite a while. We first met Erin in, My Way to You. Erin is a very secretive person, works from home and pays cash for everything. We now find out that she was a victim of domestic abuse, and she needs to learn to trust and open her heart again. Matt is the perfect person, he is so patient and caring for Erin. This book will pull you in from the first page and will not let go until the end. A very tough subject that touches many and well told. I highly recommend this book. |

I had read the first book of this serie and I loved this. Home to me did not disapoint me. It was a perfect read. I love series like this where you get to know every character stories. Catherine bybee is a fantastic author of this genre. |
4.5 stars I really enjoyed Home to Me by Catherine Bybee. It's a story that's well written and one that touched my heart. Another wonderful read by the talented Catherine Bybee! Thank you to the publisher via Netgalley for the advance copy.* |
Spread those wings and fly! A beautiful story with a gorgeous cover to warm the cockles of the soul. It all begins with Erin escaping a vicious cycle of abuse centering around her 'soon to be' ex husband Desmond. As if this wasn't hard enough she's also contending with some memory loss suffered from a horrific car accident that left her scarred. Matt is portrayed as our knight in shining armor ready to sweep her off her feet as the bulky and heroic fire fighter. He's strong, charismatic, handsome, and empathetic to her needs but is he the one she needs at this moment? The story has some tense and troubling moments that bring up sexual abuse, violence, physical and emotional abuse all in the name of love. So if you're someone who is triggered be forewarned as this is the second in this remarkable series the Creek Canyon. With this noted the unraveling or 'unbuckling' was terrifying to say the least and I'm so glad to see how this all came together after so many scary moments that landed Erin in the hospital. Thank you to Catherine, the pub, NetGalley, and Amazon Kindle for this ARC in exchange for this honest review. |
This is the second book in the creek canyon series. It is lovely, romance suspense. It is not steaming romance, like the first one in the series, but it so lovely. It is written in 3rd person, but I still loved it. 3 stars |
After meeting Erin in book one, we get her story with Matt, Colin’s brother. Another great story and romance which included lots of appearances of all our friends from book one (not to worry if you didn’t read it - this is standalone). Erin is on the run from an abusive husband and has found a home in Parker’s guesthouse. She has a lot of trouble letting Matt in and fights the attraction, but he is patient with her and takes his time earning her trust. This is a great story and probably my only complaint is that it ended! I can’t wait for the next story (secretly hoping it’s Grace’s book). Thanks to the publisher for a review copy via NetGalley. |
Home to Me is book 2 in the Creek Canyon Series and it’s a beautifully written story about a strong heroine who has been through so much in her life, Erin Fleming is determined to break free from her abusive Ex and this is her story. Erin moves to Santa Clarita, California to start afresh and this is where she meets Matt Hudson a local firefighter who sets her heart beating once more, could this be the man who will prove not all men are abusive and maybe it’s time to trust again ..... Home to Me ticked all my boxes, it’s emotional and at times it broke my heart but every tear I shed was worth it because this book is a true testament that love is worth fighting for when the person you are with is your soulmate. It’s a sweet story about navigating bumps in the road on the way to your HEA. I highly recommend this this gem to all romance lovers |
