I enjoyed what I read of the book but for some reason was only giving parts of the first 3 chapters. Very disappointed.

I absolutely adore Paige Toon. She is without a doubt a five star read with every single book. This is my favourite yet, I absolutely love it.

Thank you for this sampler which is a great introduction to what I'm sure is an amazing book. I was immediately drawn to Hannah who is young but you feel that she has already experienced turmoil in her life. When she first meets Sonny the chemistry is evident between them, the conversation flows and you sense the spark between them. The change in Sonny's demeanour when they meet again is sad but also incredibly intriguing. It leaves you with a need to find out more. Paige Toon never fails to deliver, her books just get better and these chapters give an enticing preview.

Loved the opening chapters of this excerpt! Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the advance excerpt.

I really liked the main character Hannah and will definitely be buying the book to find out the mystery behind the (presumed) love interest.

UPDATE AFTER BUYING AND READING THE WHOLE BOOK

Firstly I have to say, I am a huge Paige Toon fan. I have been waiting for The Minute I Saw You to be released from the second I finished If You Could Go Anywhere.

I was lucky enough to have read the first three chapters via an ARC from NetGalley as a sneak peak but that just left me wanting more.
Thankfully, the whole book was on my kindle when I woke up this morning and by mid afternoon I had finished it - after not being able to put it down (as is usually the case with me and Paige’s books)

The Minute I Saw You is the heartbreakingly beautiful story of Hannah and Sonny. From the first time they meet they have amazing chemistry but they are both harbouring secrets and believe that they are both broken. As the summer progresses they become friends but the chemistry they have is still bubbling away. To be together they both have to open themselves up but neither of them know if they can.

I loved this story. I didn’t guess either Hannah or Sonny’s secret heartbreak and that’s just one of the reasons I love Paige Toon books. Her writing is familiar and I love how she describes people and places so perfectly I can see them even before she so kindly posts photographs of the real places on her social media.
This book is beautiful and has left me happily (but not so patiently) waiting for the next book.
Hoping that we will also hear from Hannah and Sonny again one day too?

Every time I know a book by Paige Toon is coming out I get so excited as I know I am in for a treat. I would like to thank the Books and the City team at Simon and Schuster for sending me a copy to read before release. It felt like all my Birthdays and Christmases had come all at once.
The Minute I Saw You has an unbelievable cover, as the lovely image below shows.
During the Spring Blogger evening earlier this year I got to hear Paige Toon talk about the story and her love for this book and the characters really shown through. I was even more desperate to read it. The Minute I saw You follows Hannah and Sonny. Hannah works at an options and Sonny comes in to have his eyes checked and upon looking into each others eyes they fall in love. (What a brilliant idea to spark a story) However, neither of them want a relationship, painful pasts lead to being friends and as we follow these two characters and they develop and become better people happiness maybe just a minute away.
These characters so deserve love and happiness, Paige Toon said that these two character were special and she was so right, they are firm favourites for me. I adore the idea behind this story and the way these characters meet. The setting is special two and romantic, Cambridgeshire is one of those place I have been too but not as a tourist I would love to go down the river. There are so many scenes from this book that are amazing but I will not give anything away, this story is to special and needs to be read with no hint of whats to come.
The Minute I Saw You is one of my favourite reads this year! Paige Toon's writing is like a warm embrace. She takes you on a journey that always leaves you feeling uplifted by the end.
Congratulations Paige! The Minute I Saw You is sure to be a No 1 Best Seller!

Wow, what a book. Hannah works at an opticians and when a gorgeous hunk called Sonny comes in for an eye test she falls in lust with him. The feeling seems to be mutual except when she sees him again he is only a shadow of his former self.

The story is set in Cambridge which is one of my favourite city’s and I loved reading about their trips along the river.

Neither Hannah or Sonny are looking for relationships and as Sonny is put on a self induced sex ban they are unable to do what they would normally do so instead they become friends. Both of the characters have such devastatingly painful pasts which eventually come to light and the reasons for their behaviour becomes apparent.

As they work through their problems they both become better people and through the despair there is an uplifting sense of light at the end of their tunnel. Never have two people deserved to be loved more.

This is Paige Toon at her very best and as always the last line gave me goosebumps because it was such a beautiful sentiment.

I love that when you pick up a Paige Toon book you can virtually identify it by the way she writes and this is clearly going to be no exception. I’ve only read the start but I’m already eager to find out what troubles Sonny, just wish i didn’t have to wait a little longer for the paperback!

I have read the first 3 chapters of this book as a preview and it has just made me hungry for more. I love Paige Toon she is one of my favourite authors of all time, she always manages to transport me to whole new places. I don’t care what is on your TBR pile you have to read this!

I found this story to be so engaging so quickly. I felt immediately drawn into the story and I can’t wait to see where the rest of the story goes. Like all of Paige Toon’s other stories her writing style is so simple to read I would completely encourage teenage girls to read her stories. She just makes every day issues seem so normal and I think that is important for teenage girls. I’m already feeling emotionally involved in the story and I can’t wait to fall further in love with the characters.

Net Galley have given me a sample 3 chapters of this latest Paige Toon book.

Paige's books have you hooked from the first page and this one is no different.

Hannah meets Sonny while at work and says he is going back to Amsterdam, is he back or did he ever leave.....

I am left wanting to devour this book in one sitting.

What a tease!
I so want to read more,
Can't wait to see what journey Sonny and Hannah take.
Why Sonny changed from first meeting to the next one!
An amazing start to what I can only imagine is a great story, as usual, from Paige Toon!

I absolutely love Paige Toon’s books and her ‘voice’ - The Minute I Saw You is no exception. It’s difficult to review on the basis of three fairly short chapters, but the beginning of this story already has warmth, depth and intrigue and I know the whole book will be extraordinary, which is why I’ve just pre-ordered it on Kindle and can’t wait until it’s released on Thursday (14th May).

I can’t wait to fall properly in love with Hannah and Sonny (and like all of Paige’s heroes, Sonny is HOT!)

This book seems great, I really liked all the characters we met in the short space of time. I have read Paige Toon’s books before and really enjoy them. I enjoy the way they are written. I think this will be another successful book and can’t wait to read more.

Thank you NetGalley for my complimentary copy in return for my honest review.
