This three chapter sampler already has me hooked. I can't wait to read more and find out what has happened to cause such a change in Sonny. I'm intrigued as to the role that Matilda might play in this story too.

Written with the warmth and ease that I associate with all of Paige Toon's books, I have a feeling this is going to be another favourite!

Hannah meets Sonny and Hannah can't ignore the spark that she felt when she looked into his eyes. However, when their paths cross again, Sonny seems changed and reacts differently. Sonny is having to make some big decisions after coming to a crossroads in his life. He want's to make changes, and that doesn't include meeting someone new.

A Paige Toon novel has never let me down, and this excerpt has been no exception.
The characters are interesting, I have already become immersed in their lives, and now I want to know where the story of optician Hannah and photographer Sonny is heading. What was unusual about Hannah's upbringing? Why has Sonny suddenly changed his attitude and character?

I am a big fan of Paige's books, and the first few chapters of this one did not disappoint! I cannot wait to read the rest of it - I'm already completely hooked, and it's going to be a long few months til publication day.

I'm a huge fan of Paige Toon's novels, so it brings me great pleasure to write this review for the 3-chapter sampler of The Minute I Saw You.

Hannah's an optical assistant in sunny Cambridge and she loves her job. But when a hot and enigmatic photographer called Sonny comes in for his eye test, she loves her job just that little bit more. It might be her job to look into his eyes (and size him up!), but not every day does someone with eyes as blue and sparkling as Sonny's come along. Hannah has it bad.
After two long weeks, it's finally time for Sonny to come back and collect his prescription - the day before he's leaving for Amsterdam. But the Sonny that drags his feet into the store isn't the same Sonny she remembers from a fortnight ago. Something's wrong - he's suddenly brash, detached and guarded. He leaves swiftly, leaving Hannah questioning the chemistry she thought they had.
April turns to May and Hannah's tending to her uncle's garden, house-sitting - and dog-sitting - while he's away on holiday. While deadheading the roses she looks up and, to her surprise, sees Sonny walking out of the therapist's office attached to her uncle's house. A hundred thoughts cross her mind, starting with why is he seeing a therapist? Also, why is he not in Amsterdam?

This is a great opening to what will become an exciting love story, one that I've already pre-ordered on Amazon. Like all of Paige Toon's heroines, Hannah is bold and cheery so I can't wait to read more of her story. Also, Paige Toon characters are always from the same world - friends, exes or family - so I'm looking forward to discovering the link in this new story.

I was lucky enough to read a sampler Paige Toon's new book. The three chapters I read had me hooked.
We meet Hannah who has recently started working in an Optician. Sonny another character comes in to have his eyes tested, they have a moment or so Hannah feels. Unfortunately the next time she sees him something appears to have happened. He's disheveled and the spark she thought was there seems to have disappeared. What has happened to Sonny in those two weeks. Was it all in her head? I can't wait for the full version to come out!

This book was enticing, it had me gripped from a couple pages in. It's not your typical girl meets boy books, in fact so far it's nothing of the sort. The first three chapters which I had the pleasure of reading had your gripped and always wondering what would happen next. As Sonny arrive in the opticians it was clear that there was something, a spark between him and Hannah until he went to collect his glasses before returning back to Amsterdam. It was clear to Hannah that something was off as Sonny was shaking but she didn't know him well enough to just know what it was and when asked Sonny claims everything is okay.
Time passes and they run into each other in the street, which leaves Hannah with many questions, the main one being: why didn't he go back to Amsterdam?

Through reading these first three chapters it is clear that I will thoroughly enjoy this book much like I have with the few other Paige Toon books I have managed to get my hands on! So far there is nothing in this book that I did not enjoy! I cannot wait to get my hands on the full copy.

This was cute and an intriguing first three chapters of Paige's new book. I always love reading about books set in my hometown of Cambridge, it helps me connect to the story a lot more.
I liked the characters and I'm interested to see where this story goes!

Sometimes you start a book and you know… this is it. This is going to be wonderful.

Paige Toons books have become a staple favourite, I haven’t yet read one I haven’t fallen head over heels for. They’re funny and have gorgeous storylines surrounding the ‘Boy meets Girl affair’.

The first chapters I read I couldn’t stop myself grinning, Hannah and Sonny are addictive to read about. I can’t wait to read more about them when i finally get my hands on the full version of ‘The Minute I Saw You”.

This sampler of Paige Toon's new novel has left me eager to read more. Paige's books are always uplifting and easy-to-read, exactly what we need right now! I'm excited to see this book seems to be set in Cambridge again too, covering some of the suburbs that didn't make an appearance in One Perfect Summer.

I received an advance chapter sampler if this book from netgalley.
The story appears to be about Hannah who is temporarily working at an opticians where she meets customer Sonny. There appears to be instant chemistry & friendship. However next time they meet he is very cool & distant with her.
I look forward to reading more when this book is published.

This sample chapter of Paige's upcoming book has made me so eager to read more. Paige's books are the perfect antidote to a dreary day and this short introduction shows me this book will be no different. I'm really excited to see how the rest of Hannah and Sonny's story develops, and I'm particularly interested to see what happened to poor Sonny.

I absolutely LOVED this sampler of Paige's new book. Her stories never fail to brighten your spirits, and this one will most certainly be added to my pre-order list.

I didn’t realise this was only a sample of the first 3 chapters of the book so am disappointed not to be able to read the rest! I will definitely request the full copy when available as I’ve always loved Paige’s books and she never fails to disappoint with her warmth, wit and excellent perception.

Such a fab sampler can't wait to read the rest, Anything by Paige Toon is amazing and this one will be no different!

Only a short extract but I can't wait to read the rest! I was so sad when I got to the end. I particularly liked the labrador!
