I haven't read any of the other books in this series, but I do not feel that I enjoyed it any less so please don't let the fact its part of a series put you off.
This story evolves around Milla, whose best friend and business partner has got together with Milla's fiancé, who then gets pregnant.
Round about the time the baby is due, Milla decides to escape to Cornwall to avoid the heartache that she knows is to come but her life changes completely when she has the job of planning a wedding for Nic.
I adored this book, and loved Milla's character - and actually found myself really emotional for her for the last few chapters of the book.
Highly recommended - perfect book to curl up with on the sofa.
Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for an early review copy.
It felt lovely being back in Cornwall and the wedding shop. This book was such a delightful read, but, with heartbreak, friendship and love.
At the most romantic time of the year - Valentines Day Milka received the need she doesn’t want to - her ex friend and ex have just had a baby TOGETHER.
Heading to Cornwall in a working holiday with her friend Poppy. Both have been there for each other, as well as both working in the wedding business.
The last thing on her mind is a boyfriend, but is this within her hands to stop from happening???
Also, can she, in any way improve the little wedding shop and make a go of it???
An Absolutely cosy curl up read.
I discovered Jane Linfoot two years ago thanks to a quick stop at our local library where I found one of the wonderful Little Wedding Shop by the Sea series. Enthralled by it, I soon caught up on the whole series plus every other book I could. The Little Wedding Shop has always firmly remained in my heart.
Imagine my absolute delight to discover we were going back to St Aidan, to the gorgeous Cornwall village I’d become so fond of.
Although part of a series, you could read this as a standalone, you’d not be confused or be wondering about anything at all. It may just spur you on to want to read the others though.
This time we meet Milla who is using this time in Cornwall as an escape; her ex and her business partner are now together and to make it worse are having a baby! Wronged by those she was closest too she has come away to ‘hide’ from what is happening, but instead of hiding she fully gets involved in things in The Little Wedding Shop by the Sea.’ Of course, if you have read any books from the series you know that this is very typical, and we have seen how that shop has a way of getting under everyone’s skin.
I loved Milla. She is quite the character and I felt really sorry for her, she is also quite clumsy and that provided some funny moments. Her interactions with Nic are amusing, if not frustrating. Nic comes along at the perfect time, whether it is for a cheeky kiss or to give Milla the boost she needs – professionally and personally. He is quite the confident and charming character I think. He sounds delicious!
As I read through, I was captivated by our characters, new and old favourites alike, their story and the atmosphere created by the location. Jane’s writing really captures this beautifully. I enjoyed seeing how Millas character developed and evolved. Slower paced than some other romantic fiction books, I like the way we get to know each character and connect with them.
It’s a heart warming, funny and romantic story. Jane Linfoot is an author who is always on my must read list.
Thank you to Netgalley, Jane Linfoot and One More Chapter/Harper Collins UK for the advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I have not read any others in the series so was a little lost to start with but soon got into the story
Milla has escaped to Cornwall as her ex and her business partner who are now shacked up together and having a baby.
.
Working as a wedding planner while Jess is planning one hell of a party.
I really enjoyed this fun read and settings of St Aiden sound just wonderful I want to go.
A feel good story and would definitely read more from Jane.
Thank you to the publisher and netgalley for this ARC.
Thank you to Netgalley, Jane Linfoot and One More Chapter/Harper Collins UK for sending me an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
When I saw this cover, I knew I needed to read it! So cute! The story was fun and cute and it was an enjoyable read. I like the characters and the wedding scenery, although I found at times I was unsure which character belonged to which store/area of the wedding industry.
I did not feel too connected to the main character, but did like her sense of humour and she and Nic made me LOL at times, which is always a bonus!
I have not read the other books in this series, but I would give them a go!
Jane Linfoot has done it again, what a perfectly wonderful novel. What a great twist to the story and how it changed the lives of the two main characters. I didn't want to put this book down it was so good. This is worth far more than 5 stars but that is all I can give. If you are a new reader to Jane Linfoot I will say that you will get to love her and want to read all of her books. I can't recommend this any more than I am doing here. Enjoy it.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for this ARC in return for an honest review.
This is book #5 in the Little Wedding Shop by the Sea series, but it can be read as a standalone story. We return to the little Cornish village of St Aiden and to the Little Wedding Shop. It’s Valentines Day and the shop is also celebrating it’s 10-year anniversary! In this book we meet Milla, a wedding planner, who has returned to where she grew up to help out in the wedding shop following a relationship breakdown. Persuaded to be their wedding planner and to stay longer than she’d planned, she finds her first job is to organise the wedding of indecisive, yet very attractive, Nic!
I have read the other books in the series, but to be honest it’s been a while so it took me a while to catch up and remember some of the characters. There were re-introductions to some of them to help the story along, but I did find myself having to go back through my reviews of the previous books just to remind me! This did slow the start a little bit for me, but once I’d worked out “who was who” and “what was what” I settled into the storyline much better! I love the location of the Little Wedding Shop just as much as I love the idea of the shop itself, and whilst we began the book in a cold and chilly February it gave me a lovely warm feeling being back in the little village of St Aiden.
Milla is a lovely character and I could completely empathise with the situation her character finds herself in. However, she is also a walking disaster and I loved all of her little mishaps which had me giggling into the pages! Her working relationship with Nic, the skipper of a boat which is docked at the harbour, is compounded by the Valentine’s kiss she had with him when she first meets him, and whilst it’s Nic’s wedding she is organising I really wished it wasn’t so she may stand a chance with him!! Milla does, however, lack a huge amount of self esteem and Nic seems to be the perfect person to give her a boost of confidence!
Whilst, for me, it was a slower start, the storyline really pushed on through to be a delightfully warm-hearted, funny and romantic read which, by the end, I’d fallen in love with! With plenty of laugh out loud moments, there was also lots of important issues, such as confidence, moving on and new beginnings, dealt with for some of the characters throughout the book and these were written with sensitivity but also in a light-hearted manner! Milla’s character development was wonderfully written, and I had my fingers crossed throughout the book that she eventually found her happy ending! I’d definitely recommend this book and series, if not for the wonderful writing and characters but for the fabulous weddings, and if not for that then for the spectacular location!! There is definitely something for everything!!
Thanks Netgalley and the Publisher. I really like this author and this did not disappoint at all, great story and great characters. Loved it.
Reads fine as a standalone despite being part of a series. Overall an enjoyable read but it was a bit slow going to start with.
Overall I enjoyed the book. Despite being book 5 in a series and having not read any of the others it wasn't a problem. It read fine as a standalone. It was however a bit of a drag to read at first, lots of unnecessary padding.
I loved this gorgeous slice of Cornish escapism. This is my first novel by this author but it definitely won't be my last!
Milla is in Cornwall working as a wedding planner/wedding blogger to escape her business partner and her ex-fiance, who are having a baby together. Her first client is Nic, who is difficult to deal with both because he's indecisive and unhelpful but also because he's far too attractive.
I loved the cast of characters that supported Milla through this book, I hadn't read any of the previous novels in the series but I loved them all straight away anyway and I imagine if you have read the earlier stories it will be just like revisiting old friends.
I also loved Nic and Milla's banter and the way that he helped her to become more confidently herself. I was rooting for her from the start and it was lovely to see him root for her too. Their chemistry was also delicious to read.
Overall I would thoroughly recommend to anyone who enjoys romantic escapism.
My thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
I always look forward to a new book set in St Aidan in Cornwall, This time we have Milla returning to where she grew up to help in The Little Wedding Shop By The Sea. There she bumps into Nic, the skipper of a yacht moored in the harbour and ends up agreeing to organise a wedding for him. Naturally things don't go smoothly.....
With people from the previous books in the series, plus some new introductions, this book is full of romance, humour and definitely kept me hooked throughout. There were definitely some laugh out loud moments, counterbalanced with some that definitely brought a tear to my eye. I can definitely recommend this book and others in the series and am really looking forward to the next one.
I received an advance copy of this book from the publisher through Netgalley, however this did not influence my review of the book.
There are few things that make me happier than a new (or a re-read) of a book from Jane Linfoot. I believe that I’ve read EVERYTHING she writes, and have yet to be disappointed – the humor, the characters, the emotion and the smiles when the book ends last for days. In this book we’re meeting Milla, a local girl who returned to her home county after her business partner and boyfriend of five years announced she was pregnant. Trying to do ‘the right thing’ she’d stayed to work on their Bridal Fair business but wasn’t sticking for the birth. Welcomed with open arms by Poppy and Immie, her arrival near Valentine’s Day and the St. Aiden’s usual ‘any excuse for a party’ isn’t what her emotions need. But a ‘random snog’ with a stranger, and the offer from Jess to stage wedding fairs and start a bespoke “all in” planning service for brides has her opportunities opening even as her confidence is at an all-time low.
Enter Nic with a wedding to plan: it doesn’t help that he’s gorgeous and funny, but he’s also picky and Milla can’t quite feel confident or comfortable around him – particularly when he doesn’t seem to be ‘focused’ on the planning of a wedding in a few short months. Yet, as things go horribly and embarrassingly wrong for Milla – with landing her van in the mud, to endless venue visits that are ‘all wrong’, to major (and minor) wardrobe malfunctions – Nic is gently reinforcing his ‘you can do this’ mantra with Milla, and sharing little bits of himself, as the two banter and bandy ideas, suggestions and ‘what’s next’ to tick off the list of tasks.
Milla - what can you say about someone who truly is spectacular and creative at what they do – who can’t seem to see it.? Always measuring herself against her ‘business partner’ who did little but presented a great show. And her honest desire to “wow” the bride – even before she understood everything in a way that only she could after her mother’s long illness, she’s adorable. Needs a bit of confidence, but as things take off, and people are wowed – including Jess and the girls – it's hard to not cheer her on. And Nic, with his guilt and ignoring what’s right in front of him – but always willing to shore up Milla’s confidence, push away unsuitable males (into the water even – although that was a ‘trip’ not a push) and his determination to bolt when things seem to be ‘getting serious’ is truly everything you’d want in a man – once his eyes are open. This is a lovely, funny and heartfelt story that manages tough issues, friendship, growing attraction and finding a new footing and direction for your life. And love the series – grab it from the first if you’ve never read it before – but you can start anywhere. It’s the perfect antidote to the stress and cabin fever that we’re all suffering from. A perfect installment in my favorite series.
I received an eArc copy of the title from the publisher via NetGalley for purpose of honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.

This is the perfect cozy romance to curl up and read. I loved the characters and the idyllic setting of the English Oceanside. Milla goes to Cornwall in search of a reprieve from her shattered dreams. Milla never imagines that she will find love or find the courage to stand up for herself against her business partner. It was really wonderful to read her character development and to see how Milla realizes maybe those shattered dreams were never what she wanted or deserved in the first place.
This is such a refreshing and lovely romance novel. Set in the beautiful British seaside with lots of walks on the beach is enough to make anyone feel like falling in love. The main character Milla is an accident waiting for a place to happen so put her in the middle of a wedding venue and you are guaranteed to have more than a few laughs. There were some lovely, heartwarming moments that made this more than a typical romance. The handsome but sad Nic is the perfect match for Milla with their subtle flirting and her blunders they make for a great couple. Thank you to Netgalley and One More Chapter for the chance to read this fun and romantic book
Absolutely loved this book. Heart warming, funny and just divine. Easy read and felt as if I was there with the characters! This author nailed it.

I couldn't wait to read this when I saw it and put aside my TBR pile to start reading it. I've previously read two other books in the series, all are set at the same wedding shop but follow different characters.
📚
The story follows wedding planner, Milla, who returns to Cornwall to help out at The Little Wedding Shop By The Sea after her work partner marries and has a baby with Milla's (now ex) boyfriend! Loved the fun, relaxed premise of this mixed with the Milla's pain of planning other women's weddings. Of course, there's also flirting and romance mixed with plenty of mishaps.
📚
I would recommend picking this up when it is released on 3rd September. It's 99p on Kindle at the moment!

A definite five stars for this book, I loved every page. Milla is a likeable character whose accident prone antics had me laughing out loud. The bridal business, the food and the beautiful locations made interesting reading but i so wanted the happy ending for Milla. She had experienced so much loss and betrayal yet still worked so hard to make Pixies wedding perfect.
I have loved this series so much and I certainly wasn’t let down by this book at all. Lovely to go back to Cornwall and hear more of the wedding shop. It’s such a delightful read with heartbreak friendship and love and is such a warm read.
Sadly it’s the most romantic time of the year with it being Valentine’s Day and poor Milla has had the news she didn’t want to hear her ex and an ex friend have just had a baby together so she decides to get away she go to Cornwall I’m a working holiday with her friend poppy. They have both been there for each other and both work in the wedding business so feels she’s safe going there. The last thing she needs is another boyfriend but can she prevent this from happening or not. Can she improve the little wedding shop and make a good go of it as she throws herself into working.
It’s a perfect book to curl up and read.
Linfoot is one of my go to romance authors. No one does weddings quite like Jane Linfoot!
I read this in a couple of sittings, soaking up the atmosphere of St Aidans and Jess's trials as she faces trying to get over the mess that is her life. This series keeps getting better and better. Five big ones ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
