I knew I was going to love this book as I love Glennon's writing so much - but I didn't expect to be so moved by it. Untamed is not just the story of Glennon - a renowned Christian speaker and activist about to go on tour with the book she'd just written about saving her marriage to her husband. It's an exploration of life and living, of relationships and how we navigate them. It's about love, and family. And most of all it's about self-discovery.

I loved the insight into Glennon and Abby's relationship, and really wanted to savour the book but couldn't put it down. It feels like one of those really good long chats that you have with a best friend, were you come up for air at the end feeling restored and rejuvenated.

Packed with lovely insights and full of wisdom, I want to buy a copy of this for every woman I know. Funny, smart, and fascinating - I loved it.

Thank you to NetGalley, who provided me with a free ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I'd been excited to read this book since first hearing about it sometimes last year and it was just as wonderful as I hoped. Glennon Doyle is so gentle and kind and wise, while also being very funny. Untamed is inspiring and warm and made me cry on more than one occasion. I loved it.

I address this to all the people pleasers out there! Cast off your shackles and liberate yourselves from perpetually doing what others desire you to do, usually with them as the primary beneficiary, and begin doing what YOU want and what feels right for you on a personal level; I know there are many people who struggle when it comes to saying no to other people even when their requests are cheeky, forward or take advantage of a persons good nature. It is high time you took back control and Glennon Doyle will help you on the road to achieving that objective by establishing tactics each one getting you a step closer to your goal(s) on the ladder of liberty. Untamed: Stop Pleasing, Start Living is a niche self-help guide for a very specific group of people. I found it to be accessible, inspiring and packed full of hints and tips to help you on your way to starting living your best life.

Books like this can often be dry and tedious making change all the more difficult but this is a completely different kettle of fish and was highly informative but in a way that allowed it to remain fascinating and eminently readable. I feel those looking to change this aspect of their life will have all the tools and motivation to do so after reading Untamed. So take the bull by the horns and start taking back your power from those around you and make the decision to live the rest of your life with YOU in the driving seat rather than being the passenger you have seemingly been up until now. Highly recommended. An empowering, fascinating and incredible work of non-fiction. Many thanks to Vermilion for an ARC.

I really enjoyed this book. It’s very Brene Brown and Gabrielle Bernstein-esque. So if you’ve enjoyed this books, you should love this.
