this was a really good read, the characters were great and I really didn't know anything about the event in the book.

A historical novel about the effects of the Peterloo Massacre. A range of characters affected but none of them really grabbed me so i didn't finish it. Good historical detail but the plot felt thin - at least initially.

This book has evidently been very well researched. I studied this period of history years ago for A level and it was interesting to read about it again. The story has obviously been well thought out and although it is heavy going in a few places I think it is worthy of 4 stars.

Based on actual historical events and people, All the People is an interesting novel. Though the story comes across as plausible I was not able to read through it at the pace I normally would. I did not feel invested in the characters.
