Lots of fun and quirky recipes available within this book. Various cuisines and lots can easily be adapted for gluten free diets etc.

Have tried a couple of dishes this afternoon and they tasted ‘different’ but still very good. Looking forward to trying some more

This is an amazingly fun collection of recipes inspired by some of the best and most influential geeky movies, tv shows, books, and video games. There's Game of Thrones and The Hunger Games and Kingdom Hearts and Star Trek. And then there's some fun less-known references to things like Bioshock and Soylent Green.

The recipes look delicious, and the photographs are wonderful. It's a fun book that's a perfect gift for the geek in your life (or just for yourself).

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an eArc of this cookbook in exchange for an honest review.

This is a fun cookbook with recipes inspired from many different nerdy shows, books and films. Haven't had the the time to try any of the recipes out just yet, but I plan to try out a few of them in the future as they sound delicious. Ingredients used in the recipes seem to be stuff that anyone could find at their local supermarket anywhere in the world.

When it comes to the recipes themselves they are easy to follow (they are numbered), and as an European I'm happy that the degrees and measurements are written out in Celsius and millilitres/grams as this makes cooking so much easier when I don't have to convert it between two different systems.

I also liked the short introduction for each dish, presenting how and why the foods are relevant in their respective medium.

This cookbook is great. It has wonderful photography of a good chunk of the recipes. There are references to soooo many different fandoms. Also such a wide variety of types of cuisine.

After receiving this book, I whizzed through reading it. The recipes were so fun and really appealed to my pop culture side, There was a time I wanted to create recipes like this and I am so happy to find someone who did already. My favorite recipes are Cheese Buns, Cauldron Cakes, Sea-Salt Ice Cream, and Chimicherry Changa. Mot of the recipes are video game themed, but all of them look amazing enough to try!

I am a massive Harry Potter fan and have used the unofficial cookbook many a time. This book just added to the fun by including so many other amazing fandoms! Plus, the Pumpkin Pasties are delicious. A great addition to any geeky chef's shelves.

Disclaimer: I am by no means a good cook. I am actually a novice when it comes to cooking.

This cookbook is filled with a bunch of delicious looking recipes from a lot of my favorite video games, movies, and tv shows. (Though, a lot of them seem slightly above my current cooking level.) This would be a great addition for our school library and I look forward to purchasing it!

This is such a fun cookbook! I loved the wide varieties of recipes available and how varied the fandoms were. My interests stretch pretty far and it was great to see a lot of them represented in the book. I especially loved the Harry Potter recipes and I felt like the author did a great job putting them together so that everyone can do them. Most of them are pretty simple and don't include any weird ingredients! Overall I totally recommend checking this one out!

I enjoyed this cute little cookbook that offers a huge assortment of very authentic seeming fantasy recipes for foods from famous movies, TV shows and video games. It was my kids who really loved it, though. My 16 y/o was excited by some of the offerings for his favorites like Zelda, while my 8 y/o was happy with recipes for Minecraft, My Little Pony and others.

There are color photos of each recipe, and the author really went out of her way to make the recipes really match the flavors of whatever the reference recipe was. We will have to heavily modify them in our family (I cook vegetarian and gluten free), but we can do that with many of the recipes. They are pretty heavy on wheat and meat, and some are rather labor intensive. It's great fun, though, and there is a big range of shows, movies and games.

I read a temporary digital ARC of this book for the purpose of review.

Finally a cookbook for the deeply geeky among us. I found this both hilarious to read and surprisingly appetizing- no surprise that soylent green is here, but I loved the variety of fandom represented. In no particular order I can't wait to make the (beefless) special bell peppers and beef from Cowboy Bebop, Yeto's Superb (squash) soup, and the Harry Potter cauldron cakes. My son is totally getting a Cake Block (with fondant!) for his 8th birthday next year- he will love the Minecraft theme and I love that it looks really simple to pull off. Many of the recipes are simple in terms of the recipes themselves, but cleverly written and explained. Almost none require strange ingredients- for the win!

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the ARC of this hilarious cookbook full of fandom.

I really liked this book. It seems very easy to follow and I loved many of the references. Some things I didn't understand because I am not familiar with the source material but the recipes still looked good. I only wish that every recipe had a picture to show what it is supposed to look like.

This is a fun cookbook. At first I thought the particular variety of geekiness was too far out of my wheelhouse, some parts resonated with me and I could still appreciate the others. Great balance between the blurbs, the recipes, and the photographs.

This book is a fun present idea for any fan of sci-fi and fantasy tv shows, games and movies. There is a mixed collection of different dishes some sensible and some outlandish but what more could you ask for. I can’t wait to make the DragonsBreath Chilli and the cheese buns. There are also some great desert ideas that would make amazing party foods.

Loved this stylish collection of drinks taken from all areas of geeky media - film, books, television and video games. Serve up Sea-Salt Ice Cream from Kingdom Hearts, Seed Cake from The Hobbit, Gunslinger Burritos from The Dark Tower, or White Dragon Noodles from Blade Runner.

This is great for planning themed parties, and would make a lovely gift for the geek in your life.
*There is a lovely 'companion' book with drink recipes by the same author - The Geeky Bartender Drinks*
