A big thank you to NetGalley and KR Press LLC for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This book is part of a series but reads as a stand alone. This is Logan and Grace's story. It's a friend's to lovers tale and full of suspense!! I was surprised. It's a crazy ride and I got a little tired of Grace (no we are just friends who have already slept together). Other than that fun. 3.5 stars I think most romance readers would enjoy

This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy.

I love this series and could not wait to read about Grace and Logan. I loved that we see his brother, Roman, Wyatt, Iris, Vadim, and his parents throughout the story.

You can understand that Grace doesn't think she stands a chance with a player like Logan but she does not know that Logan has put that behind him and wants a relationship with Grace. Not sure if Grace is ready after getting left at the altar and finding out her ex was cheating on her.

Things change when they are attacked and go into hiding only to be chased down again. There are a couple of suspects and you don't know who is behind it until the end. Just gotta say - didn't see that coming!

Single guys are getting scarce at the Serafina so hope this isn't the last in the series!

I received an ARC from Netgalley for an honest review. The opinions are my ow.n.
Good old-fashioned heartbreak sent Grace running to Las Vegas for a new start. There, she has the support of a college buddy and her social group, which includes Logan…funny, sexy, protective Logan MacNeil. They’ve become close friends, but that’s all Grace is willing to offer. Logan’s a known player, and Grace has been hurt enough for one lifetime, thanks. Getting left at the altar will do that to a woman

The book has a nice tone to it, a sweetness that is often missing from romantic suspense books. Grace and Logan are friends and have been and the author does an excellent job of making the friendship the bedrock of the book. The chemistry between the two characters is there, but it doesn’t overtake the plot, which I found refreshing.

I also enjoyed the suspense part of the book. I was a little surprised at the culprit and enjoyed the twist. Overall, this is an excellent addition to the Sin City series.

Grace has moved to Las Vegas after being left at the altar three years ago. Working at putting her life back together she has a group of friends that have helped her in that process. Now Logan who has always just stood by and watched has decided to make his move. It begins when Grace happens to run into her ex with his new wife. He is wanting to meet up with Grace for coffee when Logan comes up and makes like they are a couple. Afterward, when they go to a friend’s house for a party, he is still wanting them to be together, but she is confused about them and her feelings.
When someone begins to threaten both of them when they are together, they must spend more time together and this only confuses her more. She does not understand why Logan would want to be with her and she still does not feel like he is the get married and have kids type of guy. The more they are put together because of the threat the more they get to talk and other things. I found this to be a fast book and a good story with a little suspense.

Deadly Surrender is a romantic suspense novel by Katie Reus. It has a friends to lovers storyline with an underlying threat plot line providing the suspense element that acts as the catalyst that brings the hero and heroine together. Grace and Logan met when she moved to Las Vegas after being left standing at the altar. Logan was part of the group of friends that ‘adopted’ her and was attracted to Grace right from the start even though he knew he’d have to play the long game and wait for her to get over the pain of being jilted. While Grace does like him he does have a reputation as a player making her wary of being hurt again but also she’s afraid of losing his friendship if something was to happen between them. When an incident happens on his job that has deadly repercussions for Grace, Logan doesn’t hesitate to make his move.

The romantic suspense genre is one of my favourites and while at first I wasn’t too sure about the friends to lovers element – I usually prefer more discord between the characters before they reach their happily ever after –it worked for me in this book. The characters were comfortable with each other so despite the fact that they were both hiding the depths of their feelings from the other. The plot did feel slightly rushed at the end with who the villain was coming a little out of left field. Perhaps if there was more of a build up to who it was and more explanation of his rationale behind it. As it was it just seemed a lot happened ‘off screen’ so to speak which the reader learns about third party and just left me feeling a little disappointed even though I did ultimately enjoy this book but that was more down to how the author writes rather than the plot

While this is the fifth book in the Serafina Casino Sin City series it can easily be read as a standalone without spoiling your enjoyment of any of the other books in the series.

I have read all the stories in the Sin City series and we finally are gifted with Logan and Grace's story. Yay! Logan, twin brother to Roman (remember Roman, Lol), finally after being friends with Grace, decides that he is going to let her know how he feels. Well, it sort of backfired, in a way. Suffice it to say, after believing they were moving forward, they went back a step. All I can say is that Grace, though protecting her heart, acted a bit foolish. I mean you have the hots for the guy,go for it. I have to say I didn't like that part of the story, and it did drag on for a bit. But as per Reus's style, action, suspense, hot lovemaking, makes for a great story. Filled with some of our past Sin City characters made for an enjoyable read. 3.5 stars.

Another great addition to the Serafina:: Sin City series! This is Grace and Logan’s story and it packed a punch. As with the others books in this series it can be read as a standalone but is much more enjoyable if the series is read in order. If you like romantic suspense with mystery and intrigue and steamy chemistry between the characters, you’ll love this author’s work. Another winner from Katie. I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC for NetGalley.

DEADLY SURRENDER is the fifth instalment in Katie Reus’ contemporary, adult THE SERAFINA: SIN CITY erotic, romantic suspense series. This is security specialist Logan MacNeil, and school guidance counselor Grace Foster. DEADLY SURRENDER can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Logan and Grace) DEADLY SURRENDER follows the friends to lovers relationship between security specialist Logan MacNeil, and school guidance counselor Grace Foster. Months earlier Grace Foster was heart broken when she found herself left at the altar. Starting over in Los Vegas, Grace will be introduced to security specialist Logan MacNeil, a man whose reputation as a ladies’ man is difficult for Grace to overcome but when her ex-fiancé arrives in Vegas with his new wife, Logan steps up in defence of our story line heroine. Meanwhile one of Logan’s last assignments has quite possibly followed him home, targeting our couple as they run for their lives. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Grace and Logan, and the potential fall-out when, at every attempt to secure safety, is met with an attempt on their lives.

The relationship between Grace and Logan is a friends to lovers that continues to build while on the run but Grace battles between head and heart fearing losing her best friend if their romance crashes and burns. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and energetic secondary and supporting characters including Graces ex fiancé Kevin. We are reintroduced to Logan’s twin brother Roman and his significant other Taylor (Dangerous Surrender 4), Angel and Vadim (Sweetest Surrender 3), Sierra and Hayden (First Surrender).

DEADLY SURRENDER is a story of betrayal and revenge, friendship and love. The premise is captivating and engaging; the romance is seductive and hot; the characters are determined and charismatic. DEADLY SURRENDER is a welcome return to the Serafina: Sin City.

Deadly Surrender by Katie Reus is book 5 in The Serafina: Sin City Series. This is the story of Logan MacNeil and Grace Foster. I haven't yet read the previous book, so for me this was a standalone book.
Grace was left at the alter by her ex fiancé, Kevin. Grace decided to start a new life near her friends in Las Vegas. Logan knew that Grace was going to be his but he had to wait for her after her breakup. So he waited along with become her friend. Logan started to act on his desire for Grace and the sparks flew between them, but danger also became a constant threat. Enjoyed their story.

Deadly Surrender is Logans story and it was better then I hoped. Grace and Logan are best friends and hopeless flirts but only with each other. Logan has finally fallen in love and he needs to convince Grace he is serious.  Packed full of action and danger, will Logan and Gracce get a happily ever after or will a threat tear them apart.

I enjoyed the friends-to-lovers story between Grace and Logan. They had great chemistry and I loved their flirty banter.

DEADLY SURRENDER Book 5 in The Serafina Sin City Series By Katie Reus can be seen as a standalone book in this well loved series. This is Logan MacNeil and Grace Foster's story.
What's great about them is they are already friends and have secret crushes on one another. Which is my favorite trope - friends to lovers. And boy, do Grace and Logan have a great friendship but Grace doesn't want to risk losing her friendship with Logan if he doesn't feel the same about her.
Grace has just gotten out of a bad relationship and has moved to Vegas. She is trying to find herself after the dumpster fire that is her past. She really likes Logan but sees too much of her ex in him (playboy antics). What she doesn't realize is that's not true and she does not know the man behind the sexy mask he presents. During this, Grace's life is in jeopardy. It's a race against the clock, trying to find out who wants her dead and trying to prevent that.
I loved the chemistry that smoulders between Grace and Logan. The plot is Awesome!! The cast of characters made this story pop hawt! I enjoyed the emotions that just rolled out- angst, passion, feels, drama, suspense, intrigue, twists, turns , romance, heat, and love. Great addition to a wonderful series.

My Rating: 4.5 stars ********

3.5 stars. Fun, quick, easy romantic suspense read! Loved it! Reading this series out of order but it doesn’t take away from the story. Makes you want to go back and read the stories of the other characters.
My only sadness is that the issues were resolved too quickly. I know, poor me right? It would have made for a more in depth read but I don’t think that’s what the author was going for anyway... it’s just me... don’t mind me!

Deadly Surrender is a return to Katie Reus’ The Seraphina: Sin City Series. Tis is a series that I enjoyed but was not expecting to have more books. So this was a very cheery surprise for these “sheltering-in-place” times. Logan and Grace would probably be safer if they had been able to do that too. The suspense is high with the ambiguity of who is in the cross-hairs.

Grace and Logan have the same set of friends and have known each other for a while. Their attraction is strong but not exactly instant. This is good I prefer the characters know each other than instant hook-ups. Logan is ready but Grace is wary. BUT first they must survive the danger and stop the source of it.

An excellent addition to the series but also a stand-alone. Deadly Surrender is a thrilling book that you can jump in, knowing that the villain will be caught and true love will win out, romantic suspense at its best.

4 Stars

This was a good read. It had just enough action and steam in it to keep my attention but wasn't over the top in any way. I liked the characters and storyline - the hero was swoon-worthy. Sexy and sweet! The pacing was great and I didn't feel like it had any stalling moments where I'd lose interest.

Deadly Surrender can be read as a standalone, I personally haven't read any of the previous books and I had no issues following along. I do wish I had read them though, the other couples who I'm guessing were the stars of the first four books seem quite interesting and I wish I had known/started this series before. I've always been a big fan of standalone series about a close-knit group of friends. Next time I'm in the mood for some hot j/p men, I'll be checking out the beginning of this series for sure!

Friends to lovers, back to friends, to fake boyfriend/girlfriend to lovers again - what a twisty trip to a happily ever after. Author Katie Reus seems to like to throw confusion and intrigue at her couples and Grace and Logan get the full brunt of her imagination, making DEADLY SURRENDER a funtabulous read!

This one packed a punch with a good flow. Grace and Logan are giving us a good one to follow with heat and danger as this unfolds. Trust will have to be earned with drama nipping at the heels. Finding the answers will be what keeps us close at hand. I do not often read friends to lovers but this one roped me in. It is good also that this can be read as a stand alone.

I absolutely loved this book. I have been a fan of Katie Reus for years and this book shows why. Logan works security for Wyatt Christianson. Grace has moved to Las Vegas for a fresh start. When an enemy is out to get Logan, it puts not only him but Grace in danger as well. This is part of the Serafina Sin City series. I had so much fun catching up with some of the characters and learning Logan and Grace's story. Katie Reus really knows how to craft a good book.

I have really enjoyed the Serrafina series even though the books are spaced farther apart than I would like. Logan is part of the Security team at the Serrafina resort in Las Vegas. He is part of the circle of friends that have been written about in previous books. Grace is also a part of that group. She is a counselor at a public school, has had one bad broken engagement and is gun shy. They are both really into each other but have not expressed those feelings. Along with the romance there is a enough of a suspense in this story to move the romance along. All in all a fun easy read. Thanks again, Ms. Reus for another great story.
