But if she just looked deeper she'd see that Logan can focus and attain what he sets his mind on. He wants her and he's not above using his family to get her!

Great suspenseful story, you're never quite sure who is after, is it Grace who is the target or Logan? Is it the Ex, the failed business partner or an unknown enemy? Totally loved the way Logan gets Grace to capitulate to being his "fake" girlfriend to appease his mother! He's totally got another plan to reel her in to being his girlfriend - he just won't tell her LOL

DEADLY SURRENDER by Katie Reus. In this fifth book of the series, Ms. Reus brings us Logan and Grace's story. Just a side note - I have not read any of the previous books in this series and had absolutely no trouble following along. While previous characters are in the story, there was never any confusion or missing information. Now, to the story...Logan is scrumptious - he is protective and kind, yet a bit alpha too. His affection for Grace cannot be denied. Grace, while, overall, I liked her; her never-ending denials and worry did tend to wear on me. I sort of understood her hesitancy, but, for me, it took way too long for her to get over it. Ms. Reus throws in some danger and some mystery, too. I would have liked a tad bit more action, but when the action happened, it was a bit full of danger and suspense. Despite not loving Grace, I did enjoy the tale and look forward to catching up on the previous works of this series. (received NetGalley ARC for honest review)

First, I’m so glad we are back at the Serafina series. I have reread the other books in the series many times. I love that Logan got his book. I do wish our characters would have communicated more, but they got their HEA. The suspense was ok but seemed to take a backseat and was handled abruptly after it all.

Sooo long! I have been waiting for Logan forever. It was so worth the wait. Logan is so swoony and you can tell right away how much he cares for Grace. Action and suspense along with a long awaited union of souls.

Katie Reus has a way of taking Romance and turning it into a face pace action all the while showing readers two characters they will fall in love with. Book 5 of The Serafina series readers meet Logan and Grace. Out of all the stories in this series I have to admit personally this story readers will be able to connect with the best. The tried and ture story telling of two friends that love each other so much they can't lose the friendship they have developed. Grace tries hard to keep her heart safe only to realize she lost it to Logan a long time ago.

The story flows naturally all while dodging bullets and cars trying to kill them.

I hadn't read the earlier books, but each are stand alone and it wasn't an issue.
I've read several of Katie's stories now, and while this wasn't my favourite it was a fun easy read.
Its a sexy romance, Logan is drop dead gorgeous, and unknown to each other they've felt more that either have admitted. Then they have one hot, sex fueled night after a few drinks and...well, Logan knows he wants more but doesn't want to frighten her off, Grace wants more but thinks it was just alcohol, that Logan isn't the settling type. Then the bullets start coming, and they don't know if someone is after one or both of them. The suspects pile up too, and its hard trying to keep one step ahead, but it does throw them together where things move on.
Its a quick, easy tale, an enjoyable story but not one that I'd reread.

Stars: Three, a simple romance with bullets and danger.

From the middle of the first chapter I was in love with Logan and Grace 😍😍 this is definitely my kind of book in regards to romance and compelling storyline! Coming into this read I actually didn't realease it was part of a series but it genuinely didn't matter as I didn't feel like I didn't know what was going on or who people were. The writing kept me constantly on edge and I couldn't put it down! I will be definitely be reading more of Katie's books ☺️

Suspense and romance in this friends to lovers, standalone novel. Logan is all sexy alpha male, ex military and hot as sin. He is also best friends with the adorably sweet ‘ditched at the altar’ Grace. A sweet story with lots of romance, action and a few life threatening moments, but no matter what life throws at them, Logan is not one to be put off easily. He sees his chance and goes all in. Can Grace ignore her fears and take a leap of faith? I sure hope so, because these two are obviously made for each other. Those damn insecurities keep getting in the way though. Enjoyable and addictive. What more could you ask for? Even though this is part of a series I haven’t read the previous books, and it didn’t deter from the story. For anyone who enjoys reading the typical romance with a little suspense mixed in, you'll probably enjoy this story. While I personally felt like there were too many cliches in the characters and plot for it to be a favorite, the love scenes were actually pretty well written and having Grace finally accept her relationship with Logan was also very satisfying. If you're looking for instant love, instant attraction, hot eight packs, and a small side dish of bullets, look no further! 2.5 out of 5 stars. Yummy brother Logan's turn to find his HEA. Grace has been in his group of friends for a while, but he's finally ready to make a move. Then we have a bad guy gunning for him or is it her. Lots of running around and hiding in beds.

I wouldn't mind one more book in this series with Detective Hurley. He sounds really yummy.

Grace is ready to have a great time with her friends when her ex-fiancée shows up. Lucky for her, Logan her best friend is nearby and rescues her. Grace adores Logan and secretly lust after him and Logan just wants a chance with Grace. I loved this book it was fun and we also got little snippets from the Serafina staff! Great series no matter what order you read the in.

Although this is book five in the series, it can be read as a standalone, but I would highly recommend the entire series as it is amazing! Logan McNeil, works for Wyatt Christiansen's private security firm. He has long wanted to be more than a friend to Grace Foster, but is giving her time to recover from being jilted by her fiancé. When her ex-fiancé arrives in Vegas, Logan steps in as her new love interest. He has worked some dangerous missions and after attempts are made on their lives, her protection is now his only mission. The entire Serafina team are investigating, but could Grace’s ex have a grudge to settle as well? This is another great story by Ms Reus. It is the 5th book in the series and it was action packed with lots of twist and turns.
Its the story of Grace and Logan. They've been friend for a long time and both have feelings for one another. Unfortunately Logan has a reputation as a player, and Grace being left at the altar, doesn't think he's serious.
Once they are being targeted though, Logan steps up to protect the woman he loves.

Highly recommended!!

I volunteered to read and review an advanced readers copy through Netgalley of Deadly Surrender. I really enjoyed reading this story . It's full of suspense and intrigue , fantastic characters . This is a very action packed and heart pounding story . It has Lots of twists and turns . Grace came to Las Vegas after betrayal .
She has her college friend and her group of friends . Grace is close friends with Logan and she doesn't realize Logan has feelings for her that are not just as friends . Logan goes on a
trip as Security after he gets home he asks Grace to be his fake girlfriend while his parents visit . After Grace and Logan spend more time together than usual danger comes calling . Logan is really not sure where it's coming from . With the help of their friends Logan must protect Grace and find out who and why is after them and stop them , Then convince Grace he wants more than just friends . I highly recommend taking the time to read and enjoy .

Grace has been burnt by love in the past, not only after being jilted at the altar but even growing up her mother was not the most loving. She struggles to accept that someone might actually want her. That hasn't stopped her from being attracted to Logan. He has a reputation as a bit of a player, (although to be honest, although Grace mentions it, there is no other evidence of that being the case in this book. This is the first in the series that I have read, so perhaps he has been more of a player in previous titles). It's obvious to everyone else how Logan feels about Grace, but she is reluctant to get too close and be hurt again.
Logan is very sweet. He clearly really likes Grace and wants a future for her. In fact, if it weren't for the suspense element to this storyline, I suspect this would be a very quick read as he soon makes it clear what he wants and isn't going to stop until he gets it.
This was a good romantic read. A good mix of heat and love with characters that work well together. It also has a suspense element, which fits well with the storyline and is not distracting or almost as an afterthought as sometimes happens in romance books. I enjoyed this and would be keen to read others from the same series.

A great read, fairly fast paced.

Logan has wanted Grace since he first met her, and thinks now he has his chance. She thinks he is just a player but he going to prove her wrong. When it becomes clear that someone is out to get them, they have to spend more time together, giving him his chance.

Looking forward to reading the rest of this series.

Quite the love story this booked turned out to be combined with lots of action is a hit in my book and I think it will be in yours too. Take bit, sit down and relax and let Reus take you on a journey.

Logan adores his woman's assets, "by now Grace was already sitting up in bed, tucking the sheet neatly around her perfect breasts. “You should never cover those up,” he murmured as he grabbed a pair of sneakers from the floor." I liked this book, I liked Logan.

I absolutely LOVED everything about this. Friends-to-lovers can be a hard sale for me unless it’s done just right and this one was perfect in every way!

After Logan rescues Grace from an uncomfortable situation, they end up taking their friendship to a different level. But just for the night. They are friends and that’s how it will stay. Logan’s got a reputation as a player and Grace’s heart can’t take a chance of being broken again. But when a random shooting appears to be more than just random, they find themselves in even closer proximity and Logan is determined to change his friend status.

Grace was sweet and caring. She’s a bit wounded from a bad breakup as well as life in general. I loved that she trusted Logan and when the opportunity arose to make more of their relationship, she did so. She’s feisty, independent and smart when it comes time to save themselves from danger.

Logan has had a thing for Grace since he first met her. He’s just been biding his time until she has recovered from the pain her ex had put her through. But when he saw a chance to push her towards something more, he took it, determined to make her his and keep her forever. He’s fiercely possessive and even more protective with a touch of jealousy thrown in just to perfectly round him out.

’And as he nibbled on her bottom lip, he realized he didn’t want anyone else seeing them making out. Her kisses and moans and everything else were just for him.’

This has a thread of danger and drama running through it that keeps the plot constantly moving but not consuming the whole storyline. The chemistry between Logan and Grace is felt from the first moment they are together and it only sizzles all the more as the story continues. Logan was cute and witty which, added with some amazing secondary characters, helped to give this a lighter feel to it.

This was an amazing read that kept me turning pages from the beginning. I didn’t want to set it aside for even a moment. The perfect afternoon read!
