I love this series. So I went into this with high expectations and yet somehow they were STILL surpassed. All hail Anna James, queen of my heart.

I really liked that this was more of a journey and getting to see more of the world and the politics around it. I also liked that we get some wrap up around the main story arc in the first three books, but that it's not the end of the story. I'm so excited to find out what is coming next. Not long to go now!

I just adore this world. I really want to be able to bookwander. Honestly, this series is just pure excellent fun.

I can’t wait to show this book to my students. It’s so magical and exciting! I would recommend this for primary school children but I also loved it as an adult!

Another fantastic installment in the Pages & Co series. Such a brilliant idea, that readers are able to wander in the books that they read and interact with their favourite characters. What book lover wouldn't love that? In this installment, Tilly and her best friend Oskar have to battle to save book wandering in general. The author's love of books and reading really comes through in these stories. I can't recommend them highly enough!

Another fantastic read from Anna James. Tilly is such a great character, I always find myself engrossed in the story. Can’t wait to see what happens next as her story doesn’t feel over.

Pages & Co is my absolute favourite series of all-time! The characters and adventure are just another level!

I loved that with book 3 we learned a lot more about the intricacies of bookwandering and book magic and it was fascinating seeing those elements come to life on the page.

The characters and plot lines are written in such a way that you really feel like you are on the adventure with Tilly and Oskar which gives it a really immersive reading experience. I especially enjoyed the meeting of characters with this one, very interesting selection! (Don’t want to spoil it!)

I just can’t really fault this wonderful series and am eagerly anticipating the next release. With this one I would have maybe liked a bit more adventure in America but the balance of information about the intricate workings of the concept out weighed that and therefore I understand the reasoning behind it.

I’ll be recommending to every single person that will listen!

I’m a huge fan of the Tilly and the Bookwanderers series, and this was just the best addition! I loved the even more international flavour and adventure, and the LGBTQ+ rep is just brilliant. I really hope that there are more because I love Tilly so much and just need more!

I was in a bit of a book slump until I picked up the latest Pages & Co instalment and it instantly reminded me just why I love reading and all things books. Tilly and the Map of Stories is the third in the series of bookwandering adventures (an amazing imaginative power that allows Tilly and her best friend Oskar to actually go inside their favourite novels and wander amongst their characters) and it certainly has the same excitement and magic that the previous two books offered.

In Tilly and the Map of Stories book wandering goes global, as Tilly, afraid of the power that the evil Underwoods are displaying as they try to clamp down on bookwandering, flies off to America on a secret mission to find the mysterious Archivists who she hopes will be able to help her. Although they've flown off without her grandparent's permission, the pair are soon met by the friendly faces of American bookshop owners, Jorge and Orlando, who immediately throw the pair into a frenzy of action, fear-filled chases and of course, bookwandering!

As the third in the series and the last of this particular story arc, there was always the worry in the back of my mind that it would never live up to the excitement that the previous two offered, but Anna James proves that there is still so much more of the bookwandering universe to explore and Tilly and the Map of Stories truly is filled with action throughout. My favourite addition had to be the Sesquipedalian - a magical book-filled train that even includes a restaurant serving the finest of literature's food, from the Famous Five's delicious picnics to Turkish delight straight from the pages of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. It is this level of commitment to well-loved books that really sets this series apart for me. Anna James proves in every page just how much she loves books, with her constant references to characters throughout famous literature - and of course there is an extremely comical appearance from a VERY famous writer in this book, which I won't spoil but it brought me great joy as I know it will do for so many other readers.

Anna James effortlessly weaves the world of literature into our own familiar surroundings, and just like the first and second book she takes the reader on an incredible journey that so many literature loves would love to come to fruition. I can't wait to see what the Pages & Co universe has in store next!

A literature-filled jaunt through familiar landscapes as Tilly and Oskar defend the book universe once more!

The third in the Pages & Co series, Tilly and the Map of Stories really focuses on the power and magic that stories can have on a person. The cruel and deceitful Underwoods have started binding source editions in the Underlibrary, stopping book wanderers like Tilly from wandering. Tilly and her friend Oskar refuse to stand for this and so they set off across the world (and the book world) to save wandering and put a stop to the Underwoods.

This is a book-lover’s dream - a story all about books but that also reflects on the magic books can have. In the story ‘book magic’ is a real thing that you can see and collect but I loved the message of where books can take you and the power they have in our lives. I think some of this would be lost on the intended middle grade audience but reading it as an adult it was a great nostalgic story. Reading it aloud as a bedtime story or to a class would mean you could really talk about all of the subtle messages and ideas.

A lovely magical read!

After very much enjoying Tilly and the Lost Fairytales, I couldn't wait for September 2020 to roll around for book 3 in the Pages and Co series; Tilly and the Map of Stories. Following on from the events of Book 2, Tilly and Oskar set off to find the legendary Archivists, in a bid to stop the Underwood's continued misuse of book magic. However, no one has seen the Archivists in years...

Book lovers, both young and old, will be delighted with Tilly and the Map of Stories. I am delighted to report that Tilly and the Map of Stories teeming with the bookish joy that can be found in the two previous instalments. I sat down and read the book in two sittings as I found myself completely sucked into the story. It was great to see Oskar came out of his shell and have his moment to shine - and without spoiling the story - seeing which fictional characters popped up this time to lend a hand.

I am aware that this series was always planned as a trilogy, and this may be the last time we step foot in the world of Pages and Co... but I keep hope we'll get one more adventure :o)

This was a great follow on to the series. Tilly and Oskar are able to bookwander, but the two baddies from the previous book are locking away the ability to do it, for their own ends. I felt this story was a big improvement on the second instalment, with a really engaging plot and lots of loose ends tied up. I loved the clues sprinkled through that Tilly had that led her through the story. A great story for any book lovers aged 7 and up.

This is the third adventure for Tilly and her best friend, Oskar, as they continue in their fight against the Underwoods – sinister siblings who have taken control of the Underlibrary and the source books which allow people like Tilly to travel into books by ‘bookwandering’. In the previous books Tilly has been given items which she is sure form a map of some sort, leading to a legendary group known as the Archivists, who will be able to help her overthrow the Underwood’s regime. Her grandparents, ex-Underlibrarians themselves, are cautious after the dangers she has already faced but her mother helps her sneak away and sends Tilly and Oskar to the United States to follow the first clue – a code used in the Library of Congress.

The two children are thrown into a series of adventures and make a great team – each bringing different skills to the party. They fall deeper and deeper into books, fiction and stories – braving more peril and meeting some remarkable characters. They will need all their wits, bravery and imagination to avoid destruction on a huge scale…

Another knock out story from Anna James concluding Tilly's magical journey bookwandering!

Something is not right in the world of books and its up to Tilly and her best friend Oskar to try figure out what's happening. With clues gathered from their last adventure, both with the help of Tilly's Mam fly to America to try find a group called the Archivists to help save books and bookwandering.

We meet some excellent new characters in this book, and are introduced to amazing new magical ways to bookwander! The book is incredibly fast paced and the atmosphere is full of wonder but also the feeling that time is ticking and the pressure to figure out what to do is always there. The reveals in this books are the fantastic on the edge of your set kind and the ending is a showstopper!

I can't wait to find out where the author Anna James will take the magic of bookwandering next!

Anna's Page & Co. is continued in emphatic fashion with this, the third instalment, The concept and idea of this series is so genuinely unique amongst all other books of this genre - that really makes it stand out.

Tilly and Map of Stories is full of twist, turns, magic and adventure. It seamlessly continues from book 2 and the relationship with Tilly, Oskar and the other characters is so easy to pick up. The story threads through all three books and continually entwines in this. These, along with the action-packed storyline, make it particularly difficult to put down.

I look forward to the next instalments.

Pages & Co: Tilly and the Map of Stories by Anna James

Tilly and the Map of Stories is the 3rd instalment in the Pages & Co Series. If you haven’t read the first two books not to worry there is a quick recap of what you’ve missed before your thrown into an action packed story that you won’t want to put down till you reach the last page.

In this instalment Tilly continues her bookwondering adventure with best friend Oskar. In this one they travel to the Library of Congress, the Great Library of Alexandria, and deeper into the bookwandering world. Here they discover the true meaning of book magic and what it truly means to be lost in bookwandering story.

Once again James has created brilliant characters, and Tilly and Oskar have grown from strength to strength as the series has progressed. Oskar really had his moment to shine in this book. He had more of a role and it was brilliant. Also, the introduction of the new characters was well done. They all contributed to the plot and they made it an even more enjoyable read.

This was by far my favourite book of the whole series!!! Fans of this series will definitely not be disappointed.

It’s hard to review the third in a trilogy - the plot continues with Tilly and Oskar hunting for the Architects and trying to foil the Underwood’s.

It’s beautifully written, pitched perfectly at a young middle grade, with lovely illustration and text effects.

The characters are well realised, and the fact that there are LGBTQ characters present without fanfare or comment is a wonderful way of representation and education through osmosis.

A great end to a trilogy, with the exciting news that more stories in the world are coming...

The third and final installment of the Pages and Co series brings us answers to the plot lines from previous books! Tilly and Oscar once again travel through books and this time they are on a mission - to find the fabled Archivists and rescue the future of bookwandering. There are some great characters that appear in the book, including famous authors and even a magical train! The whole series is a beautiful paean of love to books, boundless imagination and the magic of childhood. I particularly liked that the adults in the book weren't afraid to apologise for their mistakes - something that many adults struggle with in real life! On the whole, a great series and I hope it will contiunue!

I absolutely devoured 'Tilly and the Map of Stories'. I'm a huge fan of the series and really enjoyed this latest adventure of Tilly and Oskar which took them to the Library of Congress in America and to a beautiful bookstore called Shakespeare's Sister. I loved all of the characters that they met along the way, and I can't help wishing that bookwandering was real and that I could go on half as many adventures through stories as what Tilly and Oskar do!
I will definitely be recommending this book to others!

The third instalment in the series and I was expecting so much more. I wanted it to be suspenseful and full of mystery but I felt it fell short.
The storyline was really interesting and we become reacquainted with Tilly and her book wandering family. The book is full of story tales, adventure and friendship.
As a reader you are drawn into to find out about book magic and special stories really are. There are endless possibilities with this series.
