Forgot to come back here and post, but I absolutely loved this one as I loved the previous books! Thanks again for the copy. I've been recommending the whole series to many of my students in my children's literature courses and they have only good things to say.

It's that time of year when the air is crisp and leaves are falling all around.  The Vanderbeekers are at it again, pitching in to help those in need.  The kids have discovered there is someone sleeping in the community garden and just want to reach out and help.  What turns out as an innocent action sets off a domino effect that nobody expected.

The Vanderbeeker children hold a special place in my heart! I have loved all three previous books and this one did not dissapoint! This is the story of the four siblings trying to help someone they love and things taking unexpected twists and turns along the way. Do not miss this one!!!

How is it possible that this series keeps getting better? From laughing out loud to crying so hard I couldn't see the words, this book gave me all the feels and felt like the perfect next installment in the Vanderbeekers' story. As a runner, I also loved the minor plotline about the New York marathon. I really hope Glaser writes a 5th book!

Each book about the Vanderbeekers just gets better and better.  This is my favorite family in fiction. They are compassionate, funny, messy, creative, and so full of heart. Their efforts to help others usually end up going awry, but this family never stops loving each other and their friends. This book takes on some heavier topics as they work to solve the mystery of who is sleeping in their garden, and they experience a profound loss. I laughed out loud, and wept buckets, and loved these kids and their people more than ever. Karina handles these tough topics with sensitivity and compassion for her young readers. I look forward to the next book in the series, while never wanting this series to end.

Like all the Vandebeeker books, this was wonderful.  It takes you through the whole range of emotions, good, bad, and confusion! :). I love all the characters and can’t wait for further installments.  I’m always anxious to see what the kids are up to next.  Keep them coming.

Just when you think the Vanderbeeker series couldn't get any better! The newest book in this delightful series about a family of seven living in NYC is full of the usual Vanderbeeker silliness and chaos but also touches on issues like the death of a loved one and homelessness. These books have had my heart from page one of book one, but I think this one might just be my favorite. She addresses everything from a child's viewpoint of all ages, whether it is 5-year-old Laney or the 14-year-old twins. Don't miss out on this one.

I have to start off by saying that I love this series. It's very, very character driven, and most of the time the brownstone seems almost like another character. 

There was kind of a lot of big stuff happening in this book. It is definitely a tear-jerker, so be prepared to have tissues nearby while your heart is just broken. There is also a lot of healing and love. Some of it felt just a bit forced (hence the 4 stars) but if you liked the previous books I think you'll like this one, too.

The fourth Vanderbeekers novel sees the family navigating grief when their beloved neighbor dies.  Subplots involve several of the kids learning how to make friends and be good friends.  Would recommending reading the earlier novels in the series before reading this one as there are many references to earlier events.

I love love love the Vanderbeeker family, and this fourth one is no different! All of the family's adventures are so fun, and any middle school student would love this book a ton!

Kudos to the cover design and the featuring of the captivating REP (Roof of Epic Proportions). I have always said that were I to move to NYC, I would want to live in a brownstone near Central Park. After visiting the Vanderbeekers for the fourth time, I have changed my mind. I want to live in Harlem with the Vanderbeekers! Once again difficult topics are appropriately addressed with grace and transparency. There is so much going on, but the pacing and attention given to each topic is just right. As the Vanderbeekers grow and change, the readers are along for the ride. Since the range in age from 7-13 (as of this fourth installment), the book will also appeal to a range of readers. As I have said at least once before, reading the latest Vanderbeekers is one of my favorite autumn events. Please keep them coming, Karina Yan Glaser!

This book did not disappoint! My 11 year old daughter was my reviewer and she would routinely tell me that the book made her laugh and cry. She loved it so much and loves this series!

This fourth installment of The Vanderbeekers series is just as good as its predecessors. It's cozy, wholesome, and a lot of fun. The Vanderbeekers are a family of 7 - 2 parents of different races living with their 5 biracial children and lots of pets in a Harlem brownstone with 3 additional neighbors-turned-family who also live in the building. They are an absolutely loveable bunch who are always up for an adventure. This story tackles more serious topics - abandonment, homelessness, and the death of a loved one, but it is handled in ways that kids can understand without being too upsetting. I adore this entire series and recommend it to my middle-grade students all the time.

The Vanderbeekers are back! I know this is a middle grade book series intended for a youger audience, but I really do love these books! Something about the simple, almost whimsical, cover that hides much deeper themes underneath just feels right, and even nostalgic.

I once again fell under the spell of the Vanderbeeker’s love for each other and their chosen family. I’ve always loved the idea of privacy that comes from living in a single family home, but these stories make me want to live in a big, old brownstone building with other families who become close friends. I know I love this series as an adult, but I can definitely see this being an even bigger hit with younger kids!

The Vanderbeekers are back in their newest adventure, this one centered around some tough life lessons.  In true Vanderbeeker form, the children are attempting to help out their neighbor Mr Beiderman as he prepares to face his newest challenge, the New York City Marathon.  The discovery of a homeless individual residing in the community garden sets off a series of events the Vanderbeeker family raise bravely to overcome, with true passion and grace.  Interfering with the best of intentions is what the Vanderbeeker siblings excel at however even when their hearts are in the right place, things do not always go according to plan. Love lost and struggles with new friendships may seem like insurmountable obstacles however the Vanderbeekers know their is true strength when they come together, and nothing stands in their way for long.  
The Vanderbeekers Lost in Found is the newest addition to a series of middle grade fiction featuring the fun loving Vanderbeeker clan.  The four siblings always try to make things better for those they love and care about, whether it is a member of their own family, or a member of their community in need.  Over the course of the story, readers share in the triumphs, challenges, and lessons the Vanderbeekers experience, ranging from lost love to trouble with fitting in and making new friends.  I truly enjoy every story featuring the Vanderbeekers as they are always a comforting story paired with a strong helping of advice to help guide the vulnerable through some of life's toughest struggles

This book was very sweet and exciting. I laughed and cried a lot during some of the scenes. It talks about believing and trusting yourself. I really like how everything played out in the end. I could read this book again and again and still marvel at the writing style. This book would be perfect for readers 9-12.

This book totally met my high expectations! It is an amazing book that has a few mysteries tied to it. Karina Yan Glaser's writing urges you to keep reading the next chapter. I think this book is amazing just like all the other Vanderbeeker books. If you have not read the other Vanderbeeker books, you have missed out on a great series. I think that this book is a great book for everyone to read. By the way, how amazing is the book cover!
