My nine year old daughter really enjoyed reading this book and wouldn’t put it down . She loved the characters and the illustrations on the front cover and would like there to be a series of these books.

I’ve enjoyed reviewing this fun book with my 10 year-old daughter who loves all things mermaid!

Bad Mermaids Meet the Sushi Sisters is the fourth book in the enchanting under-the-sea magical adventures by Sibeal Pounder and illustrated by Jason Cockcroft. The story begins when Paris is forced to move away from her friends in The Hidden Lagoon to Scotland. Her mother sells mermaid make-up and thinks there will be a great market for it across the Atlantic. When she arrives, Paris realises there is something very mysterious about the loch next to their new house – not a house but a real castle! Could there be a ghost mermaid? Paris decides to use to her magical necklace to find out more…

Meanwhile, back at The Hidden Lagoon, Paris’ friends are on a spy mission to stop the Sushi Sisters who are tying to do something bad to humans. Meri is desperate to go on a dangerous mission so she goes after the Sushi Sisters and asks her friends, ‘The Glam Team’, to help her. Will they stop the Sushi Sisters in time?

The best part of this story is when Zelda changed the Jelly Fish Zing Shakes into Crab Cream so that the shark wouldn’t get hurt! She is a fantastic character because she doesn’t start thinking that Sushi Sisters are good (when they aren’t) just because everyone loves them and their TV show. This story is full of wonderful details, funny moments and surprising events. You’re never sure what’s going to happen next.

Thank you to Bloomsbury Children’s Books and NetGalley for this super book we could read together. It will be published in June 2020.

So funny and really quick read! I have read all of Sibeal's other works, and this one is my true favorite. And the cover is amazing! I wish I was a mermaid. Though someone really needs to go through it with spellcheck, it can get really hard to read at some points.
