What a good and timely book. This is just what my family needed. I like books like these because the activities have a spectrum. Mood and time low? Just browse the book, sticking post-it notes on pages. Need a quick and easy fix? There are many projects that fit that bill: A cute tassle, a yarn covered initial, etc. But there are also more in depth projects like turning an old book into a 'hiding place' or making a photo transfer box. There really is a nice range of activities to keep kids creatively engaged (and off of electronics).

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance reading copy of this book received through NetGalley in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

"Craft Lab for kids" has lots of easy DIYs to entertain both boys and girls. The projects are varied: there are some activities kids can do on their own and other in which they'll need help from an adult. There are activities for kids of all ages.

This title would make a nice addition to the arts and crafts area. A variety of fun and interesting activities are presented, a worthwhile addition to public libraries.

I loved this! I am always trying to think of new ways to inspire Ada, and give her a chance to show her creativity, whilst learning. This book was brilliant and really gave me a wonderful planform to create and do with her. I highly recommend it!

This is is full of fun! There are many great activities to enjoy for anytime. Many of them are quick and are made with easy materials. It is part of the Lab for Kids series that features projects on many different topics with hands-on activities. It is well designed providing a materials list for projects letting you know everything you need. The steps are clear giving each step and includes photos to help guide you. There are so many great activities in this book you will have something to do for days. Take turns picking one activity a day or perhaps you decide to pick an activity a week. Whatever you decide there are plenty of options for you and your kids to enjoy in this interesting craft book. Some things you might even consider doing again or personize it.

I received an ARC from Quarry Books, via NetGalley. This review is my opinion.

This is book is so beautiful and you can see this is a work of love and dedication. In the beginning, we first found the type of materials we will need. I love how it is structured, the photos, the step by steps, and the tips and recommendations for each project this book is a must-have for young children and (and not so young). I believe it could also be an opportunity for sharing and communicating and enjoying the beauty of what it means unique and express themselves.

I love this book. I work as a teacher and art facilitator with kids, so I love the hands-on, child-centred approach.
The book is full of excellent, fun ideas for crafts that kids can do, whether with the help of an adult or more independently. All the projects use materials that are fairly easily accessible, some use recycled materials and others use easily available household supplies, so you can get started straight away!
A great gift for creative little hands.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for letting me read an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

This is a fun kids' craft book that I really wish I'd had as a kid. There's all kinds of cool stuff to make in here- I found several things I want to make for me! There is a good range of crafts, from easy/able-to-do-alone to more complicated projects where adult supervision will be a good idea. Many projects use upcycled or recycled materials, which helps keep costs down; other materials that might need to be purchased can likely be found at dollar or discount stores. While the age range seems to be around 8-12 years, many projects have tips for adapting the craft to younger kids, and some projects will be fun for teens as well (or middle-aged women ha!). A few projects even mix in math skills, and with homeschooling being more of a thing now, parents could even use some projects as part of a lesson plan!

"Craft Lab for Kids" is a cute little book. While I don't like all the projects, the majority are just as advertised: projects kids would really be interested in doing. They call for common art supplies, unlike many similar books which require professional supplies. Unless I just missed it, there's no guidance in the book re: intended age ranges, but I would estimate most projects are for kids 6-12 years old.

I really love this book. I have a lot of books, for children and adults with wich you can make presents and little gifts for your family. But none as good as this one.
My girls had a lot of fun creating cool gifts for their friends and their grandparents. And of course for themself.

I use this book for my work at the library, I sometimes do craft workshops for children and they also had a lot of fun and created some cool stuff.

We all had a blast.

Cannot wait to use some of these ideas with my nieces and nephews. Thank you to the publisher for sending me a review copy of this book!

A good collection of projects that can be done by the child themself or with adult assistance, especially helpful in the current climate.

I love, love, love the projects in this book! There is a great variety for kids of all ages and skill levels and include projects my kids would actually WANT to create! The projects work for both boys and girls and I am so impressed with the projects themselves. There's an entire chapter of 15-minute projects, which is so handy!

I received a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
This book is broken up into seven units. The units are broken up into fifty two labs. That gives you one lab for every week through the year. This book covers arts and crafts your children can do. It shows how to use up scrapes of items and make useful crafts. The crafts are great, but the downfall is that a bunch of the projects in this book I have watched on YouTube for free. I believe this book's price is a little to high. I give this book a two stars, because the crafts are not original. You can get the crafts online for free. But if you want a great craft book to look at instead of searching for it on the internet, then this book is a good book for that.

A good book on craft ideas. There are 52 ideas and the instructions are easy to understand. Pictures are colourful and attractive. Topics covering Sprucing up your stuff by stenciling and stamping graphic T-shirts, expressing yourself by yarn wrapped wire initial, easy sewing pocket warmers to take care of you, travel tic-tac-toe for kids wanting to have fun, giving classic crafts a twist like the colourful whirlgig, paperclip bookmarks which can be made within 15 minutes, some kindness crafts such as lollipop blooms are there.

Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the eARC

This was an odd assortment of projects for kids of all sorts of ages. This book would be great for use in a library for programs, and in school classrooms, and at home. There are a few projects that you could probably find most of the supplies at home, but not all of them are easy to find items and will take some planning to do. I did write down three of the ideas while I reviewed the book so that says something :)

Craft Lab for Kids was an awesome manual full of all types of creative projects. The projects were a little more on the advanced side, and seemed to be more intended for older kids. However, several of the projects did include a “For Little Hands” section that was designed to make the project more doable for younger kids. Each of the projects had well written and detailed steps, but also included pictures for each step. Which helped make the book very user friendly.

I enjoyed how the author wrote her introductions for the kids and not for the adults to relay to the kids. The projects were amazingly varied. A lot of the items were ones that I’ve never seen included in other diy books aimed towards kids. There were diy instructions for making bath bombs, pinatas, party poppers, photo backdrops and pet blankets! I would have loved making any of these projects as a kid!

If you or your kids are getting tired of the same old craft projects, you should definitely give Craft Lab for Kids a read!
