A good solid story which became a little confusing with the character jumps but kept me entertained until the end.

I did not finish this one, it was not for me, I couldn't relate to the characters, and just did not care for the story.

I loved this one! I knew just from the cover that it would be my kind of thriller. It kept me turning the pages and I wanted to know what happened from the moment I started reading it. Highly recommended

This book started out strong, but I found it a bit confusing with the time jumps and different POV's, but that does give you a better understanding of the overall book.

It took me a while to get into this one but then it really picks up and the connection becomes clear. From there, it is tense, gripping and action packed.

Would have loved to have the lives of the minor characters fleshed out a bit more to give depth and nuance to the story. The plor itself was satisfying, apart from the wishy washy ending which is so often the case.

I found this book to be a thriller until I felt bored. The premise of the book seemed intriguing and the cover was attractive but it fell flat. The twist involved at the end was decent but not enough for me to rate it higher. It was just too slow paced for me.

Had been looking forward to reading this book. Sadly it wasn’t for me. It just lacked a good plot to get you excited and wanting more. It was very slow paced and never picked up For me

I knew nothing about this before I started reading it and then I finished the whole thing in 24 hours. I did guess most of the twists of this book quite early on but was still intrigued enough to read until the end. I liked Beth and really wanted to see how this would turn out! I was really pleased with how it ended but have also been left wanting more...

Carys Jones

Well this book surprise me it’s a great thriller book with so many secrets and drama between families. There are some triggers that might upset you in the book even though it’s a great read. The characters were amazing the writing style was epic such a good read x.

A dark, chilling tale that is so addictive you literally cannot put this book down. I was racing to read to find out more.
A very very easy read and a quick read due to being so good.

The first read for me of this author and I assure you it will not be the last so thank you more than ever on this one because not only was it a fabulous read but it has introduced a new brilliant author

I really enjoyed this one. Twisty and thrilling, just as it promises. I feel like there are a lot of similar books out there at the moment so it is a challenge for the author to stand out in this category in my opinion, but Carys Jones manages it, apparently with ease.

Beth Belmont finds a list when out running. her name is on it but why? When she discovers the first two names on the list are now dead, she is scared for her own life.
Beth as a child was known as Ruby, a child tangled in a bad crowd, where bad things happened. With a new identity, Beth is now living her life with her boyfriend Josh.

I felt the book was quite slot to begin with, there seemed to be things happening but without actually happening. At just over half way through the book it gathered pace quickly and really caught my attention, What did happen to Ruby all those years ago and how will she face her past, and who is chasing her?

There was a good twist to the book, one I didn't see coming.

Quite an intriguing storyline where Beth found her name third on a list while she went running. When she realized that the first two were dead, it caused her to get to the truth. Was she the one next to die?
I really wanted to like this book - the premise was interesting and I thought it would be just my cup of tea. However, there was just something that kept me at arms length.
I think it didn’t help that it was slow to get started and the switching between different characters was a little confusing.
The story ramps up finally towards the end with a twist that I didn’t see coming.I much preferred the latter part of the story.
A slow starter, but stick with it as you’ll be rewarded with an unnerving and dark psychological thriller with the grim message that your past will always catch up with you.

A gripping psychological thriller. Jogging through her local woods Beth notices a piece of paper, on it are the names of five apparently random people, including hers. Beth is terrified when she finds out their true connection and that the first two are dead and she's next. A compelling and twisty tale.

This was an extremely gripping thriller with a twist of a plot line, that I absolutely could not get enough of! Loved it!

I was very excited to read The List, the synopsis reminded me of The Chain and I was expecting a thrilling, fast-paced novel. While certainly a page-turner and a quick read, The List was a slow-burner and not necessarily in a good way. Has a lot of potential, but the characters were flat and the twists drawn out.
