Due to a sudden, unexpected passing in the family a few years ago and another more recently and my subsequent (mental) health issues stemming from that, I was unable to download this book in time to review it before it was archived as I did not visit this site for several years after the bereavements. This meant I didn't read or venture onto netgalley for years as not only did it remind me of that person as they shared my passion for reading, but I also struggled to maintain interest in anything due to overwhelming depression. I was therefore unable to download this title in time and so I couldn't give a review as it wasn't successfully acquired before it was archived. The second issue that has happened with some of my other books is that I had them downloaded to one particular device and said device is now defunct, so I have no access to those books anymore, sadly.

This means I can't leave an accurate reflection of my feelings towards the book as I am unable to read it now and so I am leaving a message of explanation instead. I am now back to reading and reviewing full time as once considerable time had passed I have found that books have been helping me significantly in terms of my mindset and mental health - this was after having no interest in anything for quite a number of years after the passings. Anything requested and approved will be read and a review written and posted to Amazon (where I am a Hall of Famer & Top Reviewer), Goodreads (where I have several thousand friends and the same amount who follow my reviews) and Waterstones (or Barnes & Noble if the publisher is American based). Thank you for the opportunity and apologies for the inconvenience.

With samplers, I always add loads more books to be my TBR and this was no exception. This was a great introduction to debut authors and I am ready to get stuck in. So many of these books were added to my TBR. The biggest problem however, was the lack of a clear contents page or being able to easily navigate through the book.

Commercial fiction is not a genre I read a lot of, so this is a great way to try new voices that I might have not discovered otehrwise. I particularly liked Would like to meet by Rachel Winters, For Emily by Katherine Slee and Keeping mum by James Gould-Bourn. Again, I'd love to see more info about all the titles, as immediately after finishing reading the samples I also wanted to know what the book was about.

I loved dipping into these samples of new debuts, there's some great commercial fiction included here. This was such a good way to get a taste of upcoming titles, thanks to Orion for letting me get a preview of these books. I now have a few more books on my TBR list! I particularly liked the excerpts of Would Like To Meet by Rachel Winters, Daisy Cooper's Rules for Living by Tamsin Keily, and This is Not A Love Story by Mary Hargreaves (the last one I have since read and loved!).

Thanks to the author, publishers and Netgalley for a free ARC of this ebook.
I loved this. It's a random collection of book samples. Each one is long enough to give a flavour of the full novel and guide you towards a purchase of the full novel, or not depending on your preference.. Its well worth a look. I found several books that I would buy, that otherwise I would have probably missed.

Enjoyable Preview....
Enjoyable preview of what’s to come from publishing house Orion in the Commercial Fiction genre. Both useful and entertaining. Some exciting prospects here and reading the sampler, for me at least, is more useful than the promotional blurb on a book when deciding whether to read. Many thanks, a great idea.

Love a good taster of upcoming fiction, such a good way of finding new authors and exciting reads! Will definitely be looking out for these debuts in the future. Would've liked to have seen covers and blurbs accompany the extracts though.

I enjoyed these tasters of what is to come in the way of commercial fiction. In particular, Everything is Fine caught my eye as it seems quite upbeat and humorous.

I always appreciate a sampler; it's such a great way to find new authors and unexpected stories. I wish it included request links, but I will make sure to search out these authors. All the titles were appealing to me.

I dipped into all of the samples in this commercial fiction to come and favoured these:

Would like to meet by Rachel Winters - this felt fresh, fun and engaging immediately.
Everything is fine by Gillian Harvey - a summery, renewal story with chick lit vibes

Very much enjoyed reading the excerpts from a range of books and authors in this commercial fiction sampler that includes a interview as well....you get a really good idea of style of writing and a glimpse of characters too, would like to say I welcome this venture into presenting this sampler, I found it very helpful.
