Thank you to Netgalley for my arc of this book.
This book is a lovely childrens book which reminded me of We're Going on a Bear Hunt which my kids love.
However I found this one a bit too repetitive and not as engaging.
A lovely little read though.

We’re Going on a Treasure Hunt is a fun, adventurous, lift the flaps book for young children following a group of four pirate bunnies looking for ten gold coins. Along their journey, they meet monkeys, a shark, parrots and many more animals. I did find some of these animals quite random but kids would love it.

The book is very cute and repetitive which is good for children just learning to read as it helps them to remember the words but for older children, might become a little boring. It has some amazing illustrations which show exactly what the story is about so children who can't yet read would enjoy it as well. The book is also very interactive with flaps to lift and coins to look for, Unfortunately as I had an e-copy, I wasn’t able to enjoy these interactive elements but I’m sure would have been very good if the design and enjoyable for all children.

Despite enjoying the overall story, I did find it ended rather abruptly.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with a copy of this book to read and providing me with the opportunity to give my own, honest opinion.

Yo! Ho! Ho! Martha Mumford's bunnies are back and this time they're setting off on a thrilling pirate adventure to find some hiddden treasure!

Mumford and Hughes' bunnies are always a hit and We're Going on a Treasure Hunt is another winner! Little ones will love lifting the flaps, finding the gold coins and spotting the exotic animals in this delightfully fun and bright picture book. I can't wait to see what these charming bunnies get up to next!

A quirky and fun little book. We liked it and found it fun, but it did seem to repeat quite a lot. Plus, it never really showed them finding the treasure. Still a good book, but not our favourite. We love the overall story and the fun way they explore. The illustrations are great.

We’re Going on a Treasure Hunt is a fun, adventurous, lift the flaps book for young children following a group of four pirate bunnies looking for ten gold coins.

Along their journey, they come across naughty monkeys, a great big shark, and Flying parrots amongst many more animals. They have to work together and be vigilant if they are to find all their treasure.

The book is very cute and repetitive which is good for children just learning to read as it helps them to remember the words. It has some amazing illustrations which show exactly what the storyline is about. They also have a lot going on in them so children will have lots to look at. Plus, what child doesn’t like to have flaps to lift, especially ones that contain hidden treasure.

I can see this being a book that children ask to be read to them over and over again. It would be the perfect book for helping children learn to read as well as a bedtime story or class read.

A lovely little book with an element of 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt'. Lovely bright and detailed illustrations my girls loved. I have a 4 and 6 year old and they both enjoyed the story which also had nice simple words that my 6 year old could follow.

We're Going On A Treasure Hunt by Laura Hughes is a book along the same theme as the popular 'We're going on a bear hunt'.I read this book with my three toddlers and they enjoyed the hunt for the treasure.

Although they enjoyed it we found it to be very repetitive and also very abrupt to end.

The illustrations are lovely and bright which is excellent in a children's book!

This is a really cute book for around the Reception - year one ages. It has vibes of ‘we’re going on a beer hunt’, and follows a group of rabbits all going to look for treasure! It would fit into a topic on rhymes and repetition. It is very good for language acquisition as it contains lots of alliteration, repetition and rhythm that the children would love to join in with. It has hidden flaps in which the children have to join in to help them find the treasure - which I wasn’t able to enjoy on the e-read but I’m sure would have been very good if the design of the whole story is anything to go by.

This book reminds us of another book but we really enjoyed it! We love the beautiful illustrations and the colourful pages. I think this is a great book for preschoolers because we really enjoyed the repeating words sections and the different sounds. Thank you Netgalley for the opportunity to review this book.

Great illustrations and a funny and fresh reading that helped us go in a hunt as well. 😊

Even without the flaps, this story was a hit with my children. We've loved the Easter and Christmas versions of this story and We're Going on a Treasure Hunt is just as much fun! Hughes' artwork is bright, adorable and engaging, and her bunnies made lovely pirates. When we finished reading, my children immediately asked if we could go on a treasure hunt of our own, so this is a story which creates lots of opportunities for imaginative play. I won't hesitate to buy this when it becomes available in physical format.
