"People who loved each other had to forgive each other all the time... but when did an act become unforgivable?" Jessica, Lark and Holly are intelligent, savvy and attractive women but that's not all they have in common - they're all also unknowingly involved with the same man. Jonathan Mitchell Wright III may have them all thinking she's his one and only but he can only keep the women a secret from each other for so long.... If you're looking for a fast-paced, juicy domestic drama, The Three Mrs. Wrights is it. The women in the book are all relatable and you can see why they might overlook some seemingly obvious clues something was amiss because they thought they had found Mr. Right in Mr. Wright. The way Jon/Jack/Trip manages to juggle three women in his life was highly entertaining and I liked how Linda Graff used "quotes" from his TED Talk to kick off each chapter. But what I I really loved was the way he eventually got his comeuppance! This is a fun read that may not go super deep (I really wanted to know WHY Jon/Jack/Tripp was doing what he did) but it will keep you turning the pages to find out what happens next. The story reminded me of something I'd be addicted to in a true crime podcast and I could totally see it being made into a movie. Thanks to NetGalley, Lake Union Publishing and the author for an advanced copy to review. |
This book was an entertaining read, although it took me quite a few chapters to get into it. The story came together from the POVs of the three "wives." Each woman had a different experience and life with serial cheater and sex addict Jon/Jack/Trip Wright. There was a lot of backstory for each woman, building up to her present situation with Mr. Wright. It was the backstory that made the book drag a bit for me at the start. Once things got busier and schedules more complicated, the book got more interesting. My heart went out to all three women, but mostly to first wife Holly. She was more in the dark than the others and I liked that she finally found her voice at the end! Lark and Jessica were both strong women, and I couldn't believe some of the lies they fell for. Nothing particularly dramatic happened in this book until the end, and there were scenes that I expected to be more climatic but they weren't. There were a handful of supporting characters, including friends and family, but the focus was primarily on the three women and their stories. We don't hear from Jon's POV until the end of the book, but we learn enough about him through the women. I was exhausted reading about Jon's cross country travels and keeping up with all three women! All of the horrible stuff he did aside, that's a pretty impressive feat. I would say this is the perfect book if you're looking for something light and entertaining. It was a quick read once I got into it. |
I can safely say I loved this book. Initially reading the summary I thought it would be about downtrodden women with the all conquering male hero. I was wrong. It’s about three formidable women Holly. Wife and mother of three. Part time Medic Jessica a newly qualified Medic who is head hunted to work for Cancura a company with a miracle pill. Lark a young board game designer. Then we have Jon /Jack / Trip. A man who does so much travelling to keep his lifestyle going. How he manages to remember things is a miracle. You really take a dislike to the man but who will come out on top. The man or the Women. You’ll have to read to find out. Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for the arc in return for an honest review |
This is a fun, quick, fairly light mystery/suspense novel that is perfect to get you out of any reading slump you might find yourself in. Three women, one man. (Maybe you're not supposed to know that it's one man right away, but the title of the book kind of gives that one away.) Holly has been married to Jack for almost twenty years, has three children with him, and has both a private pediatric practice and a successful horse charity. Jessica is a doctor who gives up an important residency to follow her fiance Jonathan to Chicago to help him run his amazing nonprofit that promises to diagnoses pediatric cancer years before anything else out there. And Lark is a game developer in Los Angeles, who has a whirlwind romance and business relationship with Trip, a private investor she meets at an airport bar. You have to suspend disbelief a little bit (maybe a lot) for any of this to work -- in my mind, there are just too many questions about Jack/Jon/Trip and these are all called out as very intelligent women -- but if you take this book at face value, the build up to the conclusion is a lot of fun. The end is a bit quick -- I think I would have liked that build up to have lasted a bit longer and seen more of it come together than just heard about it through a phone call, but it did keep the fast pace of this book moving, so I'm thinking the author specifically made the decision to write it this way. Again, this isn't great literature, but it's a fun bit of suspense, and I definitely recommend it. Thank you to NetGalley and Lake Union Publishing for providing me with an arc of this book. It has not influenced my opinion. |
Thank you for this e-copy! The Three Mrs Wrights was like a Dateline special. Mr. Wright is the busiest man I know, juggling three women (and three kids) in three cities, while running an innovative medical technology company. I could hardly keep up and watching it all unravel was so satisfying. Definitely recommend this one! |

What I loved about this book was that it didn't go down the unreliable narrator route or weak women who accepted the hand they had been dealt. This book showed true female empowerment and strength while bringing together three vastly different women and worlds. Told from the perspectives of Holly, a part time GP and charity creator. Jessica, a doctor working in a medical research and development facility. And Lark, a board game creator starting her own company to encourage young girls into STEM, we get to see women working at high powered, high pressured endeavours and really holding their own. Unfortunately they are all being manipulated by the charming but calculating Jonathan Mitchell Wright III. The ending of this book was an unexpected but intensely satisfying conclusion. |
THE THREE MRS. WRIGHTS by Linda Keir was a great read. This is the story of Trip… no Jon… no Jack… no Jonathan…. Really?!?! Well, all these names are his depending on who you are. So, this is the story of a man with many names who is a highly successful and rich businessman and who loves women. To tell you more would reveal too much about the plot. But let us just say that he is involved with more than just one woman. Lies, deception, and an exceptionally busy calendar fill the life of Dr. Jonathan Mitchell Wright. One man + three women = big troubles. . This is a great and very entertaining read. My only disappointment with the book was that the authors do not explain why Mr. Wright is the way he is. What caused him to be unfaithful and wanting more than one woman in his life. Why was he so delusional? The ending was well done but a bit too happy ever after for Mr. Wright in my opinion. |
The Three Mrs. Wrights is a story following one man, Jonathon Mitchell Wright III, as he is married to his wife of 17 years and dating two other women. None of whom know about each other. This story is crazy, and was for sure an entertaining read. I had so much fun reading this story, and I definitely recommend you check out this book when it comes out September 29 if you like domestic drama and girl power! What I Liked: A highly entertaining story - I was completely invested in this story throughout the whole novel! It did take me a little bit to get into in the beginning, but once I was in I was hooked! There are three separate story lines going on, so there is a lot to keep up with. However, I feel like the author did do a good job of making each story line distinct and have it's own arc throughout the novel, while at the same time weaving them together in a way that made sense in the end. While this story wasn't the most creative story I've ever read, it was definitely one of those stories that was just super fun to read! So many moving pieces that all came together in the end - Like I mentioned earlier, there are three women in this story with whom Jonathon Wright has an ongoing relationship with. He is extremely charismatic and used to being able to manipulate people into loving him and therefore doing what he wants. Because of this, there were so many moving pieces in this story as Jonathon was trying to keep up a relationship with three women in a way that none of them suspected him of cheating and believed that he was truly in love with all of them. He had three separate names and stories for himself for each woman, so it was a lot to keep up with. However, I think the author did a great job of making the three women each distinct characters with their own story, so it was easy for the reader to keep them all separate while reading. It was really cool to see how each of their stories was overlapping through Jonathan, and I really enjoyed the moment at the end when they all finally came together!! I did not guess the twist at the end - Okay, I will clarify. I definitely knew from the title and the synopsis of the book that this story was going to end with these three women getting their revenge on Jonathan in some way. However, I did not see the way in which they ended up coming together in the end to get him coming at all! I thought it was brilliant. I started out being a little bit confused to be honest, but as I watched more and more things adding up through what was going on with Jonathan, I understood. And it was great. We love a good girl power moment on this blog! The girl power and friendship! - I really liked the way that the author brought these three women together and wove their stories into each other. I thought it was really fun to get to watch each of them come to their own realization about Jonathan's lies and eventually come to work together to get him. I thought the author used each woman to her best ability to help in bringing Jonathan down, and I loved how this book ended! What Could Be Improved: I mean the whole story is based around cheating which really isn't my favorite - While this story was really entertaining and I enjoyed the story overall, I feel like I can't write this review without saying that the fact the entire plot and story is based around cheating does bother me a little. I definitely do not agree with cheating in any way, shape, or form, and I hated having to watch each woman be so devastated by the realization that this man they loved has been lying to them their entire relationship. I just kept thinking throughout the whole story how unfair the entire situation was to each of them, and how much I absolutely hated Jonathon and his selfish nature with no regard for the lives he was hurting in the process of getting what he wanted. A little slow in the beginning- This story was a bit slow to get into in the beginning because it takes a while for the plot to heat up. I would say the drama and action doesn't really start happening until about 65-70% of the way through this book. Before that is all of the build up of Jonathan meeting Jessica and Lark (his two girlfriends), developing their relationship, and then each woman beginning to question him. But, once the action really starts about 70% of the way through, it's a fun ride for the rest of the novel! My Rating: 3.5 stars - however, I will be giving it 4 stars on Goodreads because I feel like this story was a high 3 stars rather than a low 3 stars! Overall, I really enjoyed this story and was highly entertained! Was this the most mind-blowing, creative novel I've ever read? No. Was I highly entertained and very satisfied with the ending? Yes! I feel like Linda Keir did a great job of crafting 3 separate story lines that kept me invested in the story throughout the book, and that she was able to bring together in the end in a very satisfying ending! I would say that this is a solid read for anyone just looking for an easy read to keep you entertained for a weekend when you are looking for some good old-fashioned girl power :) Definitely make sure to check out this novel when it releases on Tuesday, September 29! |
Holly the wife. Jessica the wife and Lark the fiancee. Jon/Jack/Trip one man. I loved this book. The characters were all interesting and I couldn't read fast enough. I had to know how this was going to come together in the end. Would recommend this read. |
4/5 stars! This was a compulsively readable and imminently entertaining novel about a man who balances not only a double life, but a TRIPLE life, with (you guessed it) triple the wives. This is like "The Wives", but so much better. You're rooting for the 3 scorned women the whole time and always waiting for one of them to catch on to Jon/Jack/Trip. That waiting keeps you on the edge of your seat (and flipping pages). I really enjoyed the drama-filled ride, but the ending was a bit abrupt for me. I don't think the chapter from the husband's perspective was necessary (it just made me mad haha) and the last "epilogue-style" chapter ended very quickly with too little resolution after all of the build-up. Despite this, I would still definitely recommend The Three Mrs. Wrights! |
The Three Mrs. Wrights was very good! I wasn’t sure what I was getting into when I started this except for the obvious bigamy tale. But this story was fun and interesting. Jonathan/Jack/Trip Wright is a married man, well twice married with a fiancée on the side. He’s a doctor and the CEO of a business whose mission is to create a chewable that detects cancer. Both of his wives are doctors but his fiancée is a designer of STEM related board games. The story is good but gets a lot better once the women discover each other’s existence. Then the trap they set for Mr. Wright was an awesome scene-highly entertaining! Overall I really liked this book! The Delightful Mr Wright.... Mr Wright, of course, is not delightful. He is certainly not Mr Right. Mr Wright is serial philanderer. Mr Wright is presently juggling three wives. Are the lies of Mr Wright ever going to catch up with him and catch him out? An entertaining read and some guaranteed escapism. |
Thank You Netgalley, Lake Union Publishing and Linda Keir for the ARC! Meet Lark, Holly and Jessica--one is a business woman and two are doctors. And all are in love with one man, named Jonathan Wright--Holly knows him as Jack and is married to him with three kids, Jessica knows him as Jon who is working with him in a medical company that tends to do research on cancer and Lark knows him as Tripp, a businessman. Jonathan Wright is certainly not a Mr. Right as he is deceiving and telling lies to the women and soon the lies follow up to him... The plot line was good, though initially, it was bit boring in the beginning and also in the middle, with unnecessary story lines. However, towards the ending, it got very interesting and the ending was really good as well. I also like how the story was told from the perspectives of these three women, so we can know what they are really thinking and how each of them are dealing with Jonathan Wright. I enjoyed this book but I would give this book only three stars! |
Thank you so much to NetGalley and Lake Union Publishing for the ARC in exchange for my honest review. I'm going to keep this one very short because there isn't much that I can say about it other than it was mildly entertaining. In all honesty this reminded me of a fun version of "the wives" but without twists and mystery. |

I was SO entertained by this book! I read it in one setting because I just had to know what came next. Jonathon Mitchell Wright is married to Holly and they have three teenagers. To Holly he is Jack. He also has a mistress, Jessica, who knows him as Jon and a third relationship with Lark, who knows him as Trip. He has a medical research company and travels extensively which makes it possible to pull this deception off for a while. I was rooting for the women the whole time and couldn't wait til Mr. Wright got his come uppance. I loved the characters and the ending was great. Thanks to Net Galley for allowing me to read this delightfully delicious and entertaining book! |
A cheating husband trying to keep 3 different relationships going! This book had a very different twist at the end that I loved! This could definitely be made into a movie! |
I really enjoyed this! From the moment I read the synopsis I was intrigued, I've been wanting to read more thrillers and this sounded right up my street. I spent the majority of the book irritated but in the best way if that is even possible? I love Holly's character but found I grew to love Jessica and Lark too. The book didn't feel slow or rushed to me, it was the perfect pace and I even laughed out loud a few times which I did not expect at all. I was already recommending the book to friends while I was still reading it. |
OMG this steamy drama filled w/shocking revelation book is amazingly entertaining!!!!!!!!!!!!! It reminded me of the movie The Other Woman in some ways but was way more juicy. If you love juicy, drama, & women who kick ass & take names when you do them wrong you will love this book. Thank you to Lake Union Publishing & Netgalley for my free e-copy. It was my pleasure to read and review this delicious book |

Holly has been married to Jon for many years. They are raising three children, have a lovely home. Jessica is dating Jack, her boss, and is waiting on his divorce from the wife he calls "Annie Wilkes". Lark is seeing Trip, her angel investor, who believes in her game enough to set her up with her own company. Sounds nice, right? The problem lies in the fact that Jon, Jack and Trip are all the same man. He has these women right where he wants them until Holly starts to realize things just are not right. Then the wheels start turning and what will happen to Jon/Jack/Trip? I kept thinking just how tired this man must be. How do you keep juggling three women, three different "jobs", three different schedules? All those lies, you would think he would trip (ha ha) up there. He is definitely the definition of a narcissist. This was a fun read. It moved along very quickly. I enjoyed the three women very much. They were smart, all very accomplished in their own right. It all is very satisfying and quite enjoyable. Thanks to Netgalley and Lake Union Publishing for an advance copy of this book. |

Jon/Jack/Trip is a serial philanderer, mixed up three different women and with a different agenda for being with each of them, the wife, the colleague and the younger woman. Eventually of course he cant keep juggling and is caught out. He is also a well respected doctor who is leading the field in a cure for cancer, however all is not as it seems there either. I found the beginning a bit slow but was eventually drawn in to the web of lies and couldn't wait to get to the end |
