I flew through this and loved it! This centres around the characters of Victoria who is a fashion designer desperate to make it big, and Oliver who owns a department store. No spoilers as this is in the blurb... a chance meeting of the two leads to Oliver making a proposition to Victoria, will she pretend to be his girlfriend to keep his interfering family happy?

I absolutely loved these two characters and the relationship between them, they are both really likeable and very well written characters. I also loved the fierce friendship Victoria has with her girls, and it reminded me of my own amazing girls 💕

This was a light hearted, fun and and enjoyable read with a great romance. I would recommend this to everyone! Will be snapping up the next one ‘meet me in Hawaii’ when it comes out!

Meet Me In London is a book from a genre I don’t really read and thought I’d made a mistake but I thought it was a really cute read and I did enjoy it.
Victoria Scott is a barmaid and a dress designer in her spare time although her dream is to drop the bar work but it’s hard to make a living being an unknown dress maker. Oliver Russell is openings big department store at the end of Victoria’s road and by chance bumps into Victoria. Fast forward a few weeks and she is pretending to be his fiancée to keep his parents happy. Victoria is a very caring person and I liked how the story unfolded and we got to know more about her and why she was so scared of commitment. Not everybody has a happy ending in life but it’s nice to know there is hope.
An enjoyable read and liked the majority of the characters and thought it was a perfect Christmassy read.
I would like to thank Netgalley and Mills & Boon for this ARC I received in exchange for an honest review.

An entertaining, feel good romance with lots of personality, an engaging plot line and enjoyable characters.

As a debut novel it was ok but didn’t love it.

The storyline was easy to follow but very predictable. I feel it was longer than it needed to be and some chapters lengthy detailed descriptions were unnecessary.

Towards the end I scan read and didn’t miss any major plot twists. Nice but no substance.

I enjoyed meet me in London. I really liked how Oliver fell for Victoria practically from the start and how I knew it would be a happy ending but I think I’d have liked more chapters that I cussed Stella & Eric as they were what kept the book going from the middle towards the end. Midway through I was a little bored as it seemed to go in circles but then it picked up again once Stella & Eric came more into play. This was a jolly nice read and that’s all but I reckon that’s enough.

I loved this book, I was completely gripped from the first page. The main characters were warm and loving and I was immediately rooting for them.
A real feel good book

Thank you to NetGalley and Mills & Boon for providing me with a copy of this book!

This was my first read by Georgia Toffolo and I was first drawn to this by the cover (it's so pretty!) but the blurb sounding interesting too, plus Christmas!

The two main characters Victoria and Oliver are hoping for a Christmas miracle in their own way. Victoria, who dreams of opening her own vintage clothing boutique whilst working a bar job in Chelsea; Oliver, who's new department store down the road is not looking good for its planned Christmas opening. Then when Oliver meets Victoria in the bar, he makes her a proposition that she feels she can't refuse...

I haven't read many "fake relationship" books but this was quite predictable. I don't really have any strong feelings either way about it - I didn't hate it, I didn't love it. The storyline was believable, but the chemistry between the two wasn't explosive, or simmering. I did struggle to read it at points because some of the language used didn't really fit with the feel of the book and it felt like the author was trying too hard to come up with different words.

The one thing I did feel was empathy towards Victoria and her fertility issues as it's something I can identify with. The introductions to her friends were a good addition and I'd like to read their stories. It did have a festive feel too - I've never been to London at Christmas but I could picture the setting in my head so Toffolo did a good job of that.

Overall I feel I can only give 3.5* to this one as it didn't quite hit the spot for me.

This is your typical feel good Christmas romance, and it did not disappoint! I easily read this book in one sitting, literally could not put it down! Absolutely fantastic and would love to read more from this author!

Truthfully I put off reading this book but I definitely shouldn't have. What a wonderful lighthearted read. It is a Christmas and a romance in one and I enjoyed it all!
We meet Victoria and Oliver who meet one night in a bar, he is fed up of his mum trying to match make him and she is not wanting a relationship after her ex cheating on her. She is also hiding a secret from the past which puts her off getting into new relationships. We follow their story taking each chapter in turn with them both.
Its a beautiful story and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a lighthearted read. Plus Oliver sounds like the man of dreams too!
Looking forward to Georgia's next chapter of these books!

It’s just a really lovely seasonal book. A great festive read that’s the right amount of lighthearted and warm. It’s prefect for cold dark nights curled up with a warm blanket and a hot cuppa. .

I am not sure where the title meet me in London comes from, but it does open it up for a series of meet me in somewhere else etc
Fashion designer and bar worker Victoria agrees to pretend to the fiance of rich chain store owner Oliver to help him keep on the good side of his parents.
Without spoiling the story you can guess what happens.A fairytale story, light read but still enjoyable.

Absolutely top class for a debut novel! A sweet story filled with well-rounded characters. Both Oliver and Victoria have had events in their young lives that have deeply affected how they deal with life, both of them to a large extent have shut themselves off from normal relationships. For Oliver it was being an only child to older parents, being sent away to boarding school at a young age, feeling he wasn’t important. For Victoria it was a horrendous accident after her school prom, not her fault but she has always blamed herself. One of her friends ended up in a wheel hair for life, and Victoria had life-changing injuries that changed her view of the world.

She works as a barmaid, living in a flat above the premises, and in her spare time she teaches a group of girls from deprived families how to sew, and design and make their own clothes. Oliver comes into the pub one night after work, and they talk for a while, Victoria discovers he works in the new fancy department store that is soon opening along the street. They meet by chance soon after, and he shows her round the store, and she makes suggestions on how he could integrate with the other shop owners, and improve things for everyone.

Soon they are meeting or texting regularly, and he makes her an offer she cannot refuse because it will be life-changing for her students, but her head tells her it is dangerous territory. And so it proves! They are fiercely attracted to one another, but Victoria keeps pulling back, she doesn’t want to tell her secret. There are many twists and turns until the grand opening of the store, and the reaction to Victoria and the girls catwalk fashion show is a resounding success. Disaster strikes right afterwards, and. Victoria runs away, back home where her three closest friends have come from round the world to support her. They don’t have too long because Oliver is hot on her heels. He has found out her secret ... and it doesn’t matter! A really satisfying ending for everyone in the book who deserves it!

A very enjoyable read.

This was Georgia Toffolo’s debut novel and it was an absolute treat and a wonderful Christmas romance. The storyline started off a little bit slow but it soon picked up and become very addictive. I loved both Victoria and Oliver and was routing for them from the beginning. Both are such likeable characters which made me enjoy it even more. I also liked that Toff touched on some heart-breaking subjects but addressed them in such a sensitive way and it was beautifully written! I listened to the audiobook which I loved as it was great hearing the author narrate. My only suggestion would be for it to be read by both a male and female as I got a bit lost with who was talking at times.
Overall, it was a brilliant debut novel and I cant wait to see what Toff writes next!

*Many thanks to NetGalley and Mills & Boon for the audiobook in exchange for an honest review*

From time to time I love picking up an easy read book that draws you in and gives you a great big hug - this is one of those books.

The characterisation is strong (although it did take me a while to get the female protagonist down in age - perhaps due to the choice of name and love of vintage style), the story involved and the writing slick. It's a book I finished quickly and didn't find myself analysing. If I were to analyse, I would say that this is a standard M&B romance but that would do the book a disservice.

This should make the perfect stocking filler that will encourage the recipient to curl up in front of a fire and take a bit of time out for themselves. We all need an "Oliver" in our lives!

With huge thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the ARC.

Wow, an amazing debt book from Georgia Toffolo.

I loved this story and sometimes with 'celebrity books' they are all the same type of rom com read. However this has an original plot and also deals with a few issues at the same time. The story is about Victoria and Oliver. Victoria works in a pub but dreams of having her own fashion collection. Oliver is heir to a massive department store chain and is currently opening a new store close to where Victoria lives and works. The two cross paths and Victoria agrees to pretend to be Oliver's fake fiance. I don't want to say any more about the plot because I don't want to spoil it.

I loved both the characters and I loved that the story is told from both their POV's. I was very quickly hooked into the book and couldn't put it down. There are also a few moments that will make you laugh as you read it. It is very easy to read and has a good pace to the story. This is a great debut book which is a fun, light-hearted christmas read. I also hope we get more from these characters or even the stories of Victoria friends as I would love to read more about them.

Overall a great magical christmas read.

Thank you to Netgalley and Mill's and Boon for the opportunity to read this early.

Likeable characters, easy read, but a bit too fairytale story for me. The book had moment when I couldn’t put it down, but it didn’t completely grip me.

This book was predictable as hell, BUT I absolutely loved every second of it.
It was very easy to read, but very hard to put down - a perfect Christmas read for when you want to escape and forget the real world.
Every fan of Christmas reads, definitely need to read this!
Would highly recommend.
