Tension, danger and action abound in the Global Search and Rescue series! You will admire former SEAL, Ham Jones, who immediately goes into action to rescue the wife he believed dead! Ham's life has been full of surprises including the arrival in the US of a 10 year old daughter he did not know about! Ham's wife, Signe, has been willing to give up her life for the United States of America but has proof that the candidate for US Vice President is not loyal to America. Ham and his friends experience a volcanic eruption followed by a tsunami! The Price of Valor includes one crisis after another! Ham's team members, Orion and Jenny, are still trying to work through their own problems! I recommend The Price of Valor to anyone who likes action in their reading! I received an advance e-book through NetGalley. This is my honest opinion.

The third book in the Global Search and Rescue series was intense, gripping and absolutely amazing! It can be read as a standalone, but why miss out on the adventures in the other books? This book focuses on Hamilton Jones and his wife Signe who disappeared years ago. Now Ham is focused on finding her and he ends up finding her and trouble...the terrorist kind. THE PRICE OF VALOR was so fast-paced that at times I felt like I had whiplash. With a plot that was easy to follow and mind-blowing, I think this was my favorite book of the series. I really enjoyed the easy camaraderie that Ham had with his team as well as their loyalty to each other. The scenes in Italy were unbelievable and totally awesome! One rescue scene after another! I also enjoyed the brilliant repartee between Ham and Signe, childhood friends who became sweethearts and lovers. Such a sweet combination that showed the plans that God has working out in someone’s lives. This is Christian romantic suspense that will take you into another world, a world of spies and subterfuge and horror and love. I highly recommend it and can’t wait for the next high-octane thriller from this talented author!

THE PRICE OF VALOR (Global Search and Rescue Book #3) is a seriously loaded High Intensity Drama! Author Susan May Warren closes out this Series with a no holds barred adventure where the stakes are higher than anyone even dares to imagine! One of the main features I like about Warren’s writing is that she seamlessly includes characters from her past Series into this one and how well they interact with each other. In some cases, they may have served as SEALS together, or worked in some other branch of Law Enforcement or the CIA, or be a sibling of one of the characters or a significant other to one of the characters. The plot of this novel centers around Former Navy SEAL Hamilton Jones and whether or not the love of his life is dead. Her name is Signe Kincaid. To say they had a complicated relationship would be the understatement of all time! They started out as best friends when they were just kids. Each of them found themselves in difficult living situations because of their dysfunctional families. Each of them have ended up serving the government — him as an aforementioned Navy SEAL and unbeknownst to him, she was working undercover for the CIA. She had very mysteriously disappeared from his life and while most everyone thought she was dead, he felt deep in his soul that she was alive and needing to be rescued. The biggest clue to her survival had been when they found a ten year old girl that had survived a horrific boat explosion. She had information on her stating that she was Navy SEAL Hamilton Jones’ daughter. Their seemed to be no evidence of Signe’s death so Ham is haunted with tracking her down. Signe was captured by rebels while serving in the Ukraine. She had been feeding Russian intel to her CIA handler. She feared for her daughter’s life so she devised a plan to get her safely to Ham. Now Signe is in the most danger she has ever been in her life! Even the bravest man she knows cannot save her now! Ham cannot shake the feeling that Signe is still alive somewhere. Here is where Warren takes readers on a Mission with Ham’s highly trained Team of Global Rescuers. They are involved in true spy games and no one knows who can be trusted. One piece of the U.S. Government’s most important data is at stake and National Security is at stake. The battle for this information is intense and epic. Warren concludes this Series with quite the BANG! I was provided a complimentary copy of this novel by Revell & NetGalley. The opinions expressed here are completely my own and without influence.

Hamilton "Ham" Jones thought his wife, Signe, died ten years ago. Three months ago he learned otherwise and that she didn't want to be found. Even more shocking was that the ten year old daughter he didn't know he had was now entrusted to him. From her he learned that she and her mother had been living with a known terrorist and that her mother had killed him. Had Signe been a prisoner or was she a terrorist, too? Ham wants answers. Why did Signe leave him all those years ago and why is she running? Why was Aggie kept from him?

The narrative is complex. It blends together natural disasters, political intrigue and unimaginable danger. It is packed with heart pounding action, excitement and drama. There are moments that reveal terror and chaos. The characters are intriguing and their unique abilities are impressive. Together, they are a force to reckon with. All of them have baggage. Some try to make peace with their pasts as they struggle to establish personal relationships. The author skillfully presents the challenges they face.

I found this page turner to be riveting and well worth reading. Highly recommended.

The Price of Valor is the third book in the Global Search and Rescue series by Susan May Warren. Each book in this series has taken the former SEALs to different location. Each time they have had the odds against them, women who lives were also at stake and a God who is more than able to see them all through. Instead of man against nature or the elements, this is a story of mankind, good against evil.

This is my all-time favorite series by Susan May Warren. This one is much more personal as Ham has found earlier that he has a daughter to raise, then that his wife is still alive. Terrorists are involved with many lives in danger. I knew from the teasers given on the first two books that this would be a rip-roaring but scary reality read. It is so easy to imagine al of these things happening today. Signe Kincaid has had given her life to her country paying terrible prices. While some of these situations may be trigger for some readers, I want to say it is written with without the graphic elicit scenes and with sensitivity. So being forewarned should help anyone who this may be concerning.

I loved the conclusion, the giving the glory to the Lord. It is naive to believe that Christians will never fall in these situations but it is wonderful to read how the Lord brings them through. I would give this last book in the series 10 stars if I could.

The publisher through Net Galley provided a digital ARC. I have voluntarily decided to read and review, giving my personal opinions and thoughts.

The epic conclusion to three of her series and it was splendid! Ham finally gets back to Signe, his wife he thought died years ago. Turns out she’s been very busy protecting her country at the expense of her self being. Orion and Jenny had their own issue to work through. I always appreciate Warren’s style of writing, it’s inspiring and hopeful. She’s brings up faith in a way that is not preaching or forceful but part of the characters’ lives. Although this wraps up three series that have seemed not to connect, it is not necessary to read the other two to follow along. However, I highly recommend reading the previous books in this series since some of the storyline started at the beginning. I’m almost sad to this crew leave, they were brave and humble about their actions. It was a pleasure to receive an early copy and I’ve written this review voluntarily.

Oh wow, was that an on the edge of my seat adventure! I can't remember, did I even breathe while reading this book?! I must have but seriously, it felt like I was holding my breath the whole time. This story is fast paced and just doesn't let up. I found myself surprised a couple of times and I really like that.

One thing I really like about this series is that it follows several characters in each book. While this book give focus to Ham and Signe, Orion's and Jenny's continued story is going on as well. There is so much going on. Oh, and there were cross over characters from previous series as well! That was fun!

I'm not sure I had a ton of emotional connection to the characters but I liked them a lot. I felt invested in their outcome. It's really hard not to like people who put so much on the line to save other people. Heroes are the best kinds of characters. Noble, brave, sacrificing everything. Warren always gives her characters plenty of mental/spiritual/emotional growth which helps me feel like they are human with flaws even though they are pretty much saving the world. It's always a good balance.

Is this really the end of this series? Sad. But I was sure grateful for the ending where happy endings reigned supreme. It always feels good to reach a satisfying, positive conclusion. I can't wait to see where this author goes next!

Content: peril, violence, mention of rape, abuse and abortion. Talk of God and religious elements. Death. Kissing.

I have to admit that I found this book a little confusing, and more than a little confronting, at times.

Ham is trying to figure out what to do about his wife. His wife who just keeps on running from him. She certainly has a LOT of secrets that she is hiding from him but eventually he discovers what she has been through. For the sake of their daughter, they need to figure something out. Naturally enough, there is a natural disaster happening at the same time and this is something that really added to the story, I thought.

The other characters from the first two books make an appearance too, which is wonderful.

The parts which I absolutely loved though, is where several of the characters revealed things that they weren't proud of from their pasts and yet they received redemption and forgiveness. That was really beautiful. It actually made me feel that I too could move on from things that have been haunting me for years.

Overall, I would give this book 4.5 stars.

Thank you to NetGalley and Revell.

In her conclusion to this series, Mrs. Warren keeps readers on the edge of their seats to find out how this series is going to end. In this book, readers revisit with characters from past books and the cliffhanger that was left in the previous book. This book focuses on Ham which is the one person I have been waiting to read how his story would go. Ham has recently discovered he had a daughter even though his wife is supposed to be dead. He is determined to find her or what might have happened to her. Signe is on a mission to do what she believes is right no matter what the cost. As readers reach the finale, several ongoing questions from the other books will be answered and they will catch up with several characters from previous books. I highly recommend this series and this final book! You will not be disappointed! I would suggest reading all of the books in this series.!
***I was given a free electronic copy of this book from the publisher for an honest review. This is my honest opinion. Even though I received this copy free, I have purchased her books before.

The Price of Valor is the third book in Warren's Global Search and Rescue series and I was hoping I would like it more than I did. I know that based off other reviews I am in the minority with my opinion but I'm okay with that. Hamilton Jones is the MC of this story and he three months into finding out he has a 10 yr old daughter and his wife whom he thought ha died was still alive. Signe is on the run and is trying to do the right thing by sending her daughter to her father to keep her safe. Warren also brings in some of the previous stories characters with sections in their POV's so you had better have read the previous books. I know that there is some deep stuff happening with these characters but I found them to be shallow and very self absorbed to the point that I disliked them and didn't want to read any more, which is disappointing.

Okay, so this book was chock-full of drama, complications, and plot twists. I loved the way Susan May Warren wove the different subplots together to make a powerful finale to the Global Search and Rescue series.

Many of the characters in The Price of Valor were introduced in the previous books, but the focus was on Signe and Hamilton. We get a lot of their history through flashbacks as both characters reflect on events they went through together at various points in their story.

Signe had been through so much. A less strong-willed person would have crumbled under the weight of everything, but she just kept going. I liked that regardless of what she thought about herself, she never stopped doing what she believed was right for her family and the greater good.

At the end of the book, I knew what the bad guy wanted, at least the lead goal, but I didn't know why. I wish this had been something that was at least revealed. Still, I was glad that justice prevailed and the good guys won the war.

While The Price of Valor is an exciting story on its own, it's best to read the series in order as there are storylines that continue from the earlier books. You may be able to figure it out, but it will be so much more fun to read it for yourself 😉.

I received an advanced reader's copy from the publishers as part of the launch team; a positive review was not required.

Susan May Warren brings all our favorites from the Global Search and Rescue series in one of the most action-packed stories she has written! Readers will stay up way past their bedtime finishing this one!

After thinking Signe, the love of his life, had died years earlier, Hamilton Jones is now trying to raise the daughter he never knew he had. He is contacted by the Navy that they have a little girl claiming to be his daughter with a message from his wife. Hamilton will stop at nothing to bring his wife home and reunite their family.

Signe has spent the last decade getting information for the CIA about a Russian terrorist after being kidnapped by his rebels and she is forced to marry him in order to stay alive and keep her daughter safe. When her secret is discovered, Signe fakes her death and sends her daughter to live with Ham who quickly learns she is still alive and willing to risk it all to come after her. Her past is difficult, and the more Ham learns, the harder his decision becomes of protecting her or staying true to his vow of protecting his country.

With engaging characters, a fast-moving storyline, and little snippets of characters from other beloved Susan May Warren books, this is easily one of the best I have read this year. Not many authors could take characters from a completely different series and have them blend so easily into the story line as she does. Every time I pick up a book by Warren, I know I am in for a treat including romance, suspense and so much more.

Romantic suspense is a hard genre for me because I like my novels to be more on the suspense side and lighter on the romance for the story to move along. Warren is able to deliver the suspense even during the romance scenes. Signe quickly became one of my favorite characters from all the books that I have read by Warren. I loved how strong she was regardless of all she had been through she was determined to not let it bring her down. Her main goal stayed the same throughout the entire novel: keep those she cared about safe. A lot of romantic suspense novels have an easy formula to follow, girl and boy meet or find each other again after a long time, realize they still have feelings for each other, something happens to tear them apart, and then ultimately come back together. If you read a lot, that can either become very boring or be a quick easy read for you. For me, I like for it to be changed up and not be able to guess everything that is about to happen which is what happens with this book. At several moments it felt like the tension was letting down and the story was getting close to ending and then BAM, things took another turn and pulled me and my emotions even further into the story.

Overall, this was probably one of my favorites I have read by Susan May Warren. Yes, it is predictable at times but only for a split second before it turns in another direction keeping you glued to your seat. I would recommend this to readers that love a great romantic suspense with twists and turns until the very ending. It is the third in this series with tie ins to the Montana Marshall series but if a reader hasn’t read the previous two, they can still enjoy the story.

This is book three in The Global Search and Rescue series and it is Hamilton and Signe's story and omg what a story it is. Ham thought that his wife was dead but then a girl showed up and said she was his daughter and she also had a message from his wife, rescuing her is his only option as he never stopped loving her. Signe was kidnapped years ago and she is also a spy and to keep her family safe she had to take her own death but now she has been discovered and her first thought is to get her daughter to Ham as she knows that he will keep her safe and protect her. Signe knows she broke Hams heart but it was something that she had to do and she doesn't want him to risk his life to find her as it is too dangerous. Will Ham get to and rescue Signe in time before she is found and will Signe get the important information to the right people before it costs her everything including her life. This is the first book that I have read by Susan May Warren but definitely not the last as this book was amazing and full of twists and turns that keeps you on your toes and you have to keep reading to see what would happen next. I definitely recommend you read this book and you will not be disappointed.

The third book in the Global Search and Rescue, The Price of Valor and the series is best read in order. I enjoyed the story and the characters and will look to read more by this author.

For ten years, Hamilton Jones believed his wife Signe to be dead. Then one day she sent Aggie, the daughter he never knew he had, to him to be kept safe. Now, he knows that she's alive but apparently engaged in dangerous business and telling him to keep away. When she resurfaces overseas with a vital list in her possession that not only endangers undercover operatives if in the wrong hands but could also, in the right hands, lead to the uncovering of a conspiracy within the US government, Ham is sent to collect the list - with the private intention of bringing her back with him, whatever it takes. Each has been wounded by life, both in childhood and since, and though they shared many of their childhood experiences as best friends, so much has separated them since that all hope of a family seems far out of reach - especially with powerful figures doing their best to destroy them and take over the government. Can they stay alive long enough to take down the conspiracy? And can they ever really be a proper family with all that separates them?

A real page-turner - as expected from this author! There's a lot of action going on, but also time spent with the characters dealing with their problems, past, present and future - which means that they feel like real people rather than merely rag-dolls going through all sorts of craziness. A busy but also very satisfying finish to the series. It was great to see more of the characters from previous books, particularly Orion and Jenny, and this is definitely a series that is best read as a series because the books are so closely tied together. All in all, this is a book to keep you up at night reading, not only because you want to see whether they come out alive, but because you care about them and the shape they come out in. Highly recommended.

Note that I received a complimentary copy of the book from NetGalley. I was not required to write a positive review and this is my considered opinion of the book.

The Price of Valor by Susan May Warren is the third book in the Global Search and Rescue series and is jam packed full of characters from The Marshalls and the Mountain SAR series.

I would not recommend reading the book as a stand alone. There are a lot of characters that would be confusing.

What I liked: I like the team and their skills and the camaraderie they have with each other. I enjoyed the return of some of my favorite characters from other books at pivotal points. I enjoyed the getting dressed up scenes.

What I did not like: I never liked Signe. I am not sure why authors have to create characters that are so messed up. I understand the book is about forgiveness but I was going to be okay if she was a traitor and they killed her. Ham deserved better. Another thing I didn’t care for was another natural disaster. It appears that authors are going this director or publishers area asking for them. It has been overdone recently.

Susan is an amazing writer. She adds touches to a scenes to make them special and standout. She writes action packed suspense with a healthy dose of romance.

This just wasn’t my favorite because of the lead character; Signe.

Romance: kissing, any physical scenes between married couples was behind closed doors

Violence: someone is always trying to kill them; we learn that Signe was raped in the past

Language none

Drinking: none

Triggers: child abuse, rape, abortion

I received this book from Netgalley. I was not required to write a positive review.

Wow . . . just wow! This book is fast paced and kept my heart racing most of the time I was reading.

Ham is a former SEAL who lost the love of his life, Signe when she was kidnapped by a terrorist warlord ten years earlier. Ham and Signe had been childhood friends and then more and married on a whim. He never stopped loving her and when he finally got the chance to go after her, he jumped at it. Two months earlier, she had shown up with Aggie, his ten year old daughter, who he didn't even know existed before then. Then, she disappeared from his life again and told him to forget her and not to try and find her. Ham couldn't not try to find in a terrorist training camp for ten years.

As always, Mrs. Warren's books are an amazing read, full of depth and wonderful character development. I love how she ties in characters from previous series and expands their stories, too. From the very first book of hers that I read years ago, I was hooked and will forever be a SMW fan. She is a Christian author that teaches good lessons without it sounding preachy. Her characters are real people that make real mistakes and have real weaknesses; ones that I could find myself being friends with.

I was given an arc copy of this book but I would have bought it anyway because I love her wringing so much. I willingly offer my honest review.

Susan May Warren still does not disappoint. With her newest book, The Price of Valor, Warren had me begging for reading time, which has been extremely hard with working a full forty hour work week outside the home, homeschooling a sixth grader in the evening, and keeping the house chores in line. Reading has not been the top priority. A huge event happens in the first third of the novel, and I was at lunch at work. I did not want to return to work. The characters were hanging in peril, literally, and I had to leave them to work. I didn't come back to release them from their danger for three whole days. How upsetting. Even through all the dilemma I went through, it is nothing compared to what Warren allowed the characters to experience. Warren writes so fast, and such wonderful stories. If you have read the Montana Rescue series, the Marshalls, and even some of her fire novels, then you will see familiar characters. I love this story. Another keeper for my shelf. I was telling another reader about Susan May Warren because they had never heard of her. How is that possible? Anyways, I truly enjoyed this "series", and I am really anxious to see what Warren crafts next. Definitely more books for my keeper shelf.

I received a complimentary copy of The Price of Valor by Susan May Warren from Revell Publishing, but the opinions stated are all my own.
