Susan May Warren is the brilliant mastermind behind the The Price of Valor and the Global Search and Rescue series! It's one of my favorite books this year! The story was everything I'd hoped for and more, an entertaining adventure thriller that kept me up late turning pages! It's full of faith, hope, sacrifice, loyalty and trust.

Warren has a unique talent for building a community of characters, layer upon layer. Readers will be thrilled to see a good number of familiar faces, Orion and Jenny, Aria and Jake, and from the Marshall series, Ford, Ruby Jane, York, and Scarlett.
But the stars of this book are Ham and Signe, and what a story they have to tell! Both have made choices in their lives that have affected not only themselves but others too. Learning to live with the consequences and make right the wrongs they can is the overlying theme. Many opportunities present themselves for forgiveness and showing the love of Jesus. all so poignantly challenging. At times I had the feeling I was reading a modern day retelling of the story of Hosea and Gomer.

Susan May Warren is my favorite author when it comes to inspirational quotes. She can preach an entire sermon in just a few lines. Some of my favorite inspirational quotes:

"I don't know why she did what she did, but I'm going to forgive her. I might be the only believer Signe knows. And if she just gets anger from me, well, I think there's more at stake than my feelings. Besides, forgiveness doesn't really belong to me. It's the currency of heaven, and my job is to dispense it here on earth."

"The answer isn't in knowing the plan, but trusting God, daily, to give you direction. To help you sacrifice your own desires, and to love."

And his mother's hymns. "No power of hell...no scheme of man...can ever pluck me from his hand."

I'm certain readers will enjoy this fabulous book as much as I did. I know this can not be the end of the Global Search and Rescue series, there are still too many unanswered storylines to explore, like what happened to the long ago abducted Hannah. The Heart of a Hero set that storyline up perfectly. I'm hoping that one comes up next!
My thanks to Revell and Susan May Warren for a wonderfully exciting book! all opinions are my very own.

This was a satisfying wrap up to the series. I was unfamiliar with the author and publisher before reading the previous book in the series (The Heart of A Hero), but now realize both are Christian fiction and lighter on the romance than I typically read. Still, the adventure and suspense were satisfying, and it's nice to read about heroes with hearts of gold.

Man....what a finale!
I have loved each on of the books in the global search and rescue series, yet from the beginning I have been eager for Hamilton's story to be told!
We got little hints of his story in the last few books and then everything comes together in this book!
We get so many questions answered from this series and from the Marshall family series !
I loved how Susan may Warren writes romantic suspense, she keeps the pace fast, but what I really love are her character's stories.
Her characters are written in a way that is relatable and I always end up sucked into their perspective.
Ham is a fantastic hero, I loved his steadfast nature and his backstory really fit with the character I have grown to love in this series.
Singe has had to make some hard decisions, she has been through so much and doesn't want those she loves to be pulled down with her.
I was rooting for these two so much, I loved the message of how we are to show Christ's love and forgiveness to others (brought to you by one of my favorite Deep Haven characters!).
I loved the action, I loved the romance, I loved this series!
Thank you to the publisher for supplying me with a copy of this book through Netgally. All my opinions are my own.

THE PRICE OF VALOR....Susan May..Warren
Ham just found out this ten year old girl Maggie was his, when Signe left her, with words don’t try to find me. Her misplaced ideals had cost her, the country versus the love of Ham. Raising her daughter in a terrorist’s camp, till a brief moment, she was able to slip Maggie to him.
A good conclusion for the series, showing learning to trust and forgiveness
Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion by ?Net Galley and Revell

Book three in the Global Rescue series takes the reader through some exciting and unexpected detours. The gripping conclusion to the series ties up loose ends not only from this series but a storyline that was part of the Montana Marshall Family series. That means you'll see characters from the other novels that you love, too. I enjoyed this novel. The plot was complex and there was plenty of action.

I've been waiting for this book for a while and it was worth the wait! This series is linked to the Montana Marshalls series and I'd highly recommend reading that before this book (my advice...binge read it).

This book tied up a lot of the loose ends from the series - there is only one question I have left unanswered - I'm hoping that this will be solved in a future book (whether it be part of this series or a new one).

There are themes of trust and forgiveness running through this book. You get to learn more about the characters and in one case, characters from a previous book. I loved the added texture that the author has added.

This book is definitely worth a read!
