A lovely story but slow at times. Lovely discriptions of the town. The wedding dresses sounded beautiful. Could not work out the ending. It was a good end, the right one

Against a lakeside setting, a heartwarming romance begins. Ian and Samantha are both recovering from loss. They're not looking for love but when it finds them can they make it work? Complex characters and a lovely setting make this an enjoyable gentle romance. There are numerous barriers to a happy ever, but the uplifting ending is worth the angst.

This is a lovely Summer romance for lovers of happy endings.

I received a copy of this book from Mills and Boon via NetGalley in return for an honest review.

Perfect - enjoy your Summer at Lake Haven with Sam and Ian as they attempt to navigate their growing feelings for each other. Great characters you fall in love with set against the backdrop of Lake Haven - with fashion, romance and a wedding to complete the picture. If you are looking to escape then this might be the one for you.

I love RaeAnne’s books, they always lift my mood. This is another addictive romance, wonderful characters, great chemistry and a lovely story. I adored Ian and Sam , getting beyond their pasts, finding love in unexpected places. One thing I didn’t love, is the puppy dilemma, no spoilers but no fair !! But an absolutely adorable romance with lots of heart.

Thanks Netgalley and the Publisher. Not sure what to write in my review - nice story - nice characters - not much else to say.

I read the first in this series a couple of years ago and having not been blown away I left it there. But being the sucker I am for a pretty cover and a single dad plus having it on good authority the series got better, I decided to try again.

“At heart, I’ll always be a boring biologist who knows more about the mating habits of salmon than I do about what makes a woman tick.”

It’s no secret I have a fondness for intellectual men and Ian absolutely has the whole sexy-and he-doesn’t-know-it geeky vibe going on from the moment we meet him and his two adorable, albeit slightly overly well-spoken, kids who quickly steal his neighbour and wedding dress designer, Sam’s heart. And what slowly unfolds is heartwarming romance that is very much at the sweeter end of the scale between two people who aren’t looking for love, but find themselves sharing past hurts and falling deeper as they spend more time together.

“How could the future Earl of Whatever the Heck Margaret Had Said pursue anything with a dressmaker from a tiny town in Idaho?”

The fact that’s this is the last in the Haven Point series and I’ve missed out several books in between made no difference to my overall enjoyment, if anything its piqued my curiosity on some of the couples who featured.

Oh how i really wanted to like this book, but i just couldn't get it to it, the writing seemed stunted at times, and lagged in places, the flow wasn't there for me. Sorry

This book cn be summed up in just two words. Absolutely perfect. The setting is gorgeous, the chemistry between Sam and Ian is hot and the children and puppies are as cute as can be. The plot line is fairly simple: widowed Ian travels to Haven Point for his sister's wedding and ends up renting a cottage next to Sam, still grieving for her mother. Sparks fly and his children, Amelia and Thomas, help look after the litter of puppies she has unexpectedly acquired and this helps bring them together more. However, before they can even think about a future there are huge obstacles to be overcome.
All of the characters are really likeable and the Summerhill family as a whole are wonderful and offer Sam the kind of family that was sadly lacking in her own life. It was also great that the solution to the problems was not immediately obvious. The only thing that I was upset about? that she didn't keep the puppies !
Get some snacks and wine, find a comfortable seat and be prepared to stay there until you have finished this gorgeous romance.
