Kay Bratt always writes a narrative that takes her reader on a beautiful journey. No Place Too Far embraces the bonds of family and friendship. I highly recommend this title and all of Kay Bratt's titles to my reader friends.

I enjoyed this book but not as much as I enjoyed the first book. The writing was still really good, I think I was just drawn into the first story a little more.

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book provided by NetGalley.

I loved that I could continue with Quinn’s story and get deeper into Maggie’s story. While I enjoyed the story, I wish the author delved deeper into each woman’s relationship. Everything gets resolved fairly easily, but without much dialogue between the characters. I wish I could have witnessed it, and all the messy emotions, while it was happening instead of just being told it happened.

Thank you for allowing me to read and review this ARC. This is my honest opinion.

No Place too Far is the second of the By the Sea series. It continues the journey of Quinn & Maggie both trying to start new beginnings and learning that you have to trust and rely on on others. Quinn continues the journey of her mother’s death bed confession meeting her true family. Maggie is running from her stalker learning he was accidentally released and is now targeting her in Hawaii .When your life is in danger you learn you have to trust those that love you unconditionally.
I received an ARC From Net Galley in exchange for a honest review.

No Place Too Far is a wonderful uplifting book. It's book 2 of the By the Sea series. It's the story of Quinn, Maggie's friend that we met in True to Me, By the Sea book 1. We follow Quinn in her adventures creating a new life for herself while Kay Brady carries you to Maui, and who doesn't want to go there?

Book 2 No Place To Far in Kay Bratts By The Sea series was everything I expected it to be.
With 2 hurricanes just south of me in the gulf Maui was the perfect place for this book to take me. All my favorite characters from book 1 were back in No Place To Far. Plus a few new others that really bought a special element to this story. Only problem now is I have to wait for book 3.

Thank you Netgalley and Lake Union Publishing. for this ebook for my honest opinion.

This is the second book in the By The Sea series. I absolutely loved the first one, True to Me. This one continues the story of Quinn and gives us more of Maggie’s story. I loved learning more about both these characters. I did get aggravated with both of them at certain points, particularly Maggie, but I did understand why they were making the choices they were making at the time. They both, again more Maggie, have issues from their pasts that cause them to make these choices. They both make peace with these issues by the end of this book so it will be interesting to see where the story goes in the third book. I, for one, can’t wait to find out!

Told alternately by Quinn and Maggie, this is a tale of two women coming into their own. Maggie and her son Charlie have come to Maui to escape a stalker and she's building a life there. She's got a job as a vet tech and best of all, she's got her friend Quinn. Quinn came to Maui and found her family and now she's trying to establish a B&B. The two of them support each other wonderfully. What they also do is stare down the villain who has tried to ruin Maggie's ife. It's astory of female empowerment with strong characters you will root for. Don't worry if you didn't read the first book, which was Quinn's story- this is fine a standalone. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. A good read.

This was such a good book I had a hard time putting it down. The second book in the By the Sea series, it continues the stories of the two women and their lives. It occasionally brought tears to my eyes, and there were a few laugh-out-loud moments as well. Ms Bratt does an excellent job of describing the characters, as well as the setting in Hawaii. You can’t help but like the characters and wish them the best. This can be a stand alone book, but it would probably be better to read the first book in the series, True To Me, before this book to get a better background. I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley and Lake Union Publishing. All opinions expressed are my own.

This is the second book in the By The Sea series. I read and enjoyed True To Me and this was a continuation of the stories of the wonderful characters, that Kay Bratt develops so well. Again we visit the lovely island of Maui and the arrival there of Maggie and her son Charlie, to reconnect with her BF Quinn Maguire. Maggie is trying to find a safe haven, distancing herself from Charlie’s
father and to hide from a stalker that is currently imprisoned. She believes that this paradise is what they need to start over and heal.
This is a story of friendships that survive the worst traumas, lost and disappointing relationships, new families and friends and what a mother will sacrifice to keep her child safe,
You will love Maggie, Quinn and her unique Island family and those that work and visit her beautiful Inn. The magic of the Hawaiian culture and it’s people is well researched and shared.
My thanks to #LakeUnionPublishing, #NetGalley and #KayBratt for the ARC.
All opinion are my own. I loved everything about this story and it’s a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I didn't realize this book is part of a series, although it was ok to read this book without having read the first book I think it would be best to read the other book before this one.

Maggie is on the run from her recent past, she thinks she's found a safe place for her and her son on Maui. Maggie finds a new job as a vet tech with the help of her best friend's boyfriend. Her best friend, Quinn, is also the one who convinced her to come to Maui. Quinn has to deal with her own issue on Maui where she just last year found her biological family. After 30 years of being separated from them, with a very tragic story to tell, she has yet to find how she fits in. Maggie and Quinn mostly rely on and support each other, but both women are runners. At the sign of trouble, they much rather pack up and run than stick around and figure it out. They think they are doing to protect the ones they love but they aren't giving themselves a chance to love and be happy. When their pasts catch up with them it's time to face the music and see if the women really have grown stronger over time, or if they will still run.

I liked the story and the bit of tension that is in this book. Maggie suffers from anxiety and I get how this can influence everything you do, but I don't really like how the anxiety was used in this book. There is this thing that happens in this book that almost had me put it down and it involves Maggie's anxiety and her ex, I don't want to spoil anything but this really got on my nerves. Quinn's story is remarkable and I don't think there is enough attention to her and her story in this book, especially the resolution to her story is just a bit much for my liking. I do like the picture painted by the author of Maui, which makes me want to visit the island as soon as I can. Overal the story was a comfortable read and the Maui backdrop helps it along rather nicely.

Life is full of ups and downs even in the most beautiful, splendid, most perfect locations in the world.
Maui is home and Maui is where it all goes down for Maggie who uprooted her life to find happiness during these most troubling times that require vigilance, protection, and support.
Her family is concerned about her welfare but her best friend knows her best and Quinn is equally as supportive to her needs.
Both women have a story to tell and both experience life in different and unique ways.
Life may throw some curves but it's also worth every minute.
Thank you to Kay Bratt, the pub, NetGalley, and Amazon Kindle for this ARC in exchange for this honest review.

A lovely read. The second book in the series. Although the events from the first book are touched upon I think you would have needed to read book one first in order to fully grasp what is going on in book two.

Quinn and Maggie deal with problems that were exposed in book one and carried over to book two and both at the end seem to find their solutions.

Not as good as the first book, but a good weekend read.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me the chance to read this book.

Full five ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for this one! I loved the first book True To Me and I loved this one just as much! I was so happy to read more about Quinn and Liam and how their love story grew. I was glad that the author refreshed my memory on the story of Quinn because there were a few details I had forgotten. Maggie, Quinn’s best friend, was a character that really grew on me. Fortunately I’ve never had to deal with a stalker so I can only imagine how horrible and scary it would be. The author did a wonderful job writing it into the storyline. I am so excited to see where Book 3 will take us. After the scary ordeal Maggie faced on the island with her stalker, will she stay in Maui or will she leave? And how will Quinn and Liam’s story continue? I can’t wait to find out! By far my favorite part of this book is that it’s set in Maui - my favorite place on Earth. I’ve been there 4x and was supposed to be there this past July but had to cancel due to the pandemic. Thank you Kay Bratt for the perfect descriptions of Maui and helping me escape in my mind and imagine that I was there. I highly recommend this book for anyone who loves an emotional and suspenseful drama.

I enjoyed settling down with the suspenseful sequel No Place To Far by Kay Bratt. It was well written with wonderful characters and gorgeous scenery. It’s a story of mystery, secrets, trust, love, friendships, family and finding happiness.
Maggie Dalton & Quinn Maguire, childhood best friends, are both trying to move on from difficult pasts & fears, by making a fresh start on the island of Maui. Just when Maggie feels life is moving forward safely her and her son, someone from her past returns, as Quinn is just learning to build up trust with her family members after a 30 years absence & family secrets.

This is book 2 of Kay Bratt's By The Sea series. Maggie and her son are trying to build a new life in Hawaii. Maggie's best friend, Quinn, lives there and is great support for them! Maggie must find a job and childcare for her son, all while trying to avoid being found by her stalker. In the meantime, Quinn has her own story. Quinn is the proud owner of a small inn and is trying to find her place in her recently found biological family. I found myself really cheering for both Maggie and Quinn!

No Place Too Far takes up right where True To Me, the first of the A By the Sea series, ends. Both of these stories are great reads and I highly recommend reading them in order. In True To Me, Quinn Maguire heads to Hawaii to find her dad after her mom dies only to find a whole family that she knew nothing about nor how she was separated from them. Now she is there running a small inn in Maui and when her friend Maggie Dalton and her small son need a place to land, she encourages Maggie to go there from the mainland. Maggie has had a stalker and he is in prison. Or is he? She is starting over, working as a veterinary tech and struggling to make ends meet when strange things start happening. Quinn is trying to get her life together and make new relationships with a family she never knew as well as develop a relationship with a new boyfriend. Both of the friends encounter trials to work through in this story filled with anguish and stress and both have to realize that one can be independent and still rely on others for help. Maggie makes some new friends and has an unexpected and unwanted reunion. This was a nail biter at times but also with heart warming results that bring a smile and "sigh" moments. I am looking forward to book three and wondering whose story(ies) will be next.
I received a complimentary ARC from Lake Union Publishing through NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are mine only.

Another book where you just feel like you are in Hawaii. This is the second book in the By The Sea series that focuses not only how Quinn is adjusting in Maui, but also her friend Maggie who moves to Maui to continue to escape her past. This story is heartwarming, suspenseful and has some romance in there too. The characters are so easy to connect with - you feel like you know them. Great story that continues sharing the Hawaiian history, culture, and Ohana. Thank you to Netgalley for an ARC at my request. All thoughts in this review are my own.

This is the second book by author Kay Bratt in her By The Sea series. This book Follows Maggie Dalton and her son as She tries to restart her life in safety on Maui. Maggies's life has been disrupted by a stalker whom Maggie thinks is safely imprisoned. She has made the move to Maui to try and find peace again in her life with the help of her friend Quinn. The book also continues the storyline of Quinn, her new found family, and the inn that she hopes to open. Both Maggie's life and Quinn"s lives are threatened in very different ways, with twists and turns keeping the reader guessing on how they will resolve. The characters are well developed and the storylines intriguing.. However;I feel that in order to fully enjoy this book, the series should be read in order. This book is the perfect summer beach read

Moving to Maui was one of the most successful decisions Maggie made in recent times. It’s true that it was a major change in her life. She would leave her family behind and separate Charlie from his father. But she would also distance herself from her stalker. She had spent the last year on the run and was already exhausted. Her son needed stability and she wanted something back from the woman she was. She wanted to feel free again, without fear or constant panic attacks.

The beginnings are not easy and Maggie had managed to overcome each obstacle little by little. A part-time job and an apartment that, although small and humble, gave her the freedom and tranquility she so longed for. They lived in paradise, what more could she ask for?

On the other hand, Quinn, after much renovation work, had managed to get her business going. She was still in the process of assimilating all the changes in her life over the past year. She was aware that she could not recover thirty years in a few days, but they all played their part and made her feel welcome. For the time being, she enjoyed her newfound family and was happy with the life she led. The rest was only a matter of time.

The past year had been difficult for both women but they had counted on their mutual support. Hence, their friendship had been further strengthened. At last now they could begin to enjoy the new place in which they lived and to see the future with hope and optimism. They didn’t count on the past coming back so soon to disrupt their lives.

In this second installment of the series By The Sea, although we have more details of Quinn’s life with her new family, it is Maggie who takes the spotlight. We know her more deeply, why she is so stubborn and proud. Love and friendship are elements that remain constant in the plot.

The environment continues to occupy a predominant place in the plot as it could not be otherwise. The author pays special attention to the local culture. If in True to My she talked about the gastronomy and the importance of keeping the customs alive, in No Place Too Far she focuses more on the legends and popular beliefs and the impact that these have on the lives of the locals.

No Place Too Far takes place in a privileged and heavenly setting. However, nothing that happens in this story transmits us relax or that feeling of tranquility and disconnection, on the contrary.

It is a novel full of suspense which keeps you in tension from the beginning, and sometimes we can even feel the fear and despair of its protagonists. It’s not a horror novel but at certain points it can recreate the same claustrophobic atmosphere.

I read it in a sigh and after finishing it has left me wanting more. It has created me addition and I’m looking forward to reading more novels from By The Sea serie.
