Cassie stares at the young woman standing on her doorstep in disbelief. Just months after losing her son Josh - this young woman is holding a baby - a baby she claims to be Josh's. Can you even imagine this scene? A grieving mother looking for nothing more than a way to remain connected to her son.
Such an amazing read - filled with drama. We witness Cassie's journey to find out exactly what happened to her son the night of his accident while trying to come to terms with his being gone. She becomes unraveled as she is so desperate to hold onto to the baby that she is getting lost in what's real and what isn't.
It was an emotional journey that has the reader feeling Cassie's pain and yet we hold onto to hope that through this little baby - she will find a reason to live once more. When the details of the night in question are revealed you can't help but hate everyone involved in the lies, secrets and deceit.
Will Cassie ever regain her footing or is she somehow involved in the death of her own son. I loved this one and although the ending was somewhat predictable - I thoroughly enjoyed finding out more about each character.
Definitely won't be my last read by this author.

A good thriller, enjoyable read that kept me engaged. Cassie is mourning the loss of her son when she is given a second chance. Kim suddenly comes into her life with her son Josh's son Samuel. She is busy getting to know her grandson and for once seems to be able to put her own obsessions aside until she notices that Kim is acting quite weird. What is she hiding or is Connie becoming obsessive again. This book is full of secrets and lies more than one family should or possibly have.

Cassie is mourning her only son Josh. When a woman named Kim turns up on her doorstep with a baby in her arms telling Cassie and her husband that the baby Samuel is their grandson Josh's baby boy.
Cassidy is also receiving disturbing and sinister text messages that could cause trouble for her. Is Samuel her grandson or has Kim got some other agenda going on.
This book has plenty of twists in it. Certainly will be reading more Sheryl Browne books.
Thanks NetGalley

Didn't love this one but didn't hate it either. Had a hard time connecting to the characters (most unlikeable) and the story was a bit predictable which sadly makes me lose interest, in thrillers I love if there's some good twists that I don't figure out, or at least not until near the end! The writing was good and the pace wasn't too slow, but it just wasn't a big hit for me. Thanks!

Cassie and Adam are still getting over the tragic death of their only son Josh when Kimberly turns up at their house with baby Samuel claiming to be Josh’s girlfriend. Cassie is skeptical but wants it to be true and is desperate to get to know her grandson. Soon though she starts receiving sinister texts threatening to expose her past secrets which might end up completely destroying her

The New Girlfriend By Sheryl Browne is a dark twisty psychological read. It is a fast paced well written book made even more interesting due to the unlikable characters, lots of twists and turns and a surprise ending that I didn't see coming

I would like to thank Bookouture & NetGalley for providing an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest and fair review.

This book seriously had you guessing what the flip was going on from beginning to end. This author is so so good at suspense was really the amazing plot twists that have you saying what the heck? I felt like we were driving a cool 45 the whole time down the highway with me trying to figure everything out and then everything just went down the crapper at the end - and it went all to high speed. Maybe a little too much going on but it all had to happen and made sense. Highly recommend. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Josh dies and his mom Cassie has a woman claiming to be his girlfriend Kimberly on her doorstep. On top of it she has a baby she claims is Cassie's grandson Samuel. Cassie has been hiding from her secrets and is afraid that they are going to come out and she is about to lose everything. Cassie has been hiding for so long and she realizes that whoever it is knows everything about her life. And why hasn't Josh mentioned anything about Kimberly or Samuel. A book of twists and secrets.

Thanks Netgalley and the publisher for the advance ecopy.

A sincere thank you to the publisher, author and Netgalley for providing me with an ebook copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.

This is not my usual genre,  however I wanted to take the opportunity to read something from outside my norm. And I am glad I did!! Thank you for  opening up my mind to something totally different. Characters were so well developed that I felt as though I knew them. I love when a book draws you into the story and it feels like you are living it with them.

I will proudly say I am a fan of Sheryl Browne’s books! I have read them all and can say they have all had the same effect on me! They draw you in, totally mess with your brain and have an outcome that no matter what you think you may have figured out ... you are always wrong.

Browne’s creativity in building her plots is purely brilliant. Her writing has a way of grabbing your attention and keeping you involved and curious throughout the entire book and she always leaves you satisfied at the end even though a bit she’ll shocked.

Come meet Cassie and learn her story you will not be disappointed!

I didn’t not finish reading this. The plotline was just ‘eh’ and I decided about halfway that it wasn’t getting any more interesting. Did not finish.

Another great read from Sheryl Browne. What would I say first about Sheryl brown as an author, she’s dependable for a quick, good read! This book is no different in that aspect, it was a fast paced, thrilling read, which I found to be quite unputdownable! It had the necessary thrills, chills, and shocks, I require in my thrillers! I also found it, like others if hers, to be quite an emotional roller coaster of a read! So, if you are a fan of Sheryl Browne’s, a thrill seeker, or just looking for a good, fast paced thriller, pick this one up ASAP!
Will make sure to buzz around and review using low Amazon reviewer number!

Thank you to the author, Sheryl Browne, NetGalley and the publisher, Bookouture, for an early read of this book, for my honest review; all opinions in this review are mine.

A Thrilling roller-coaster ride of emotion, twists and turns, secrets, and manipulation throughout the whole book. This author never disappoints, and this book doesn't either.

Cassie loses her son tragically, and all of the sudden someone who knows Cassie's past has found her, and is going to make her pay for something she did in her past. The person coming after Cassie wants everyone who knows Cassie, to know exactly what type of person Cassie is, and they will go to great lengths to make sure everyone knows.

I absolutely loved this book, the twists throughout it, and the ending. I can't wait for more from Sheryl Browne.

“𝑁𝑜𝑡 𝑎𝑙𝑙 𝑖𝑛𝑛𝑜𝑐𝑒𝑛𝑡 𝑙𝑜𝑜𝑘𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑎𝑟𝑒 𝑖𝑛𝑛𝑜𝑐𝑒𝑛𝑡“

After the sudden death of her only son Josh, Cassie and her partner Adam are in mourning and their lives begin falling apart

Shortly after the funeral , a young girl name Kimberly shows up at their doorstep claiming she was Josh’s New girlfriend and the child she’s holding is his son

Cassie is overjoyed and believes she now has a reason to live her life but what about the threatening texts she keeps receiving claiming to know her secrets from the past.
Her secrets that will completely destroy her future

This book is a 4🌟star as it drew me in completely because of the unexpected plot twists and the played mind games that kept me on my feet from beginning to the end

Although it started with a slow pace suddenly things when BOOM 🤯 complications, new secrets and twisted pasts and present and Sheryl didn’t let us rest till the very end

It’s story is going around three women Cassie , Kimberly and Jemma who are all hiding things of their own,
The only character that seemed perfect to me was Adam who I wish had a better ending

Thanks to Netgalley and bookouture for sending me the copy
You should / Must read this book 👉🏼

I thoroughly enjoyed this one!

Right from the off I was gripped, with a brilliantly written prologue that sucked me in.

From the start you could tell the author was 100% invested in the characters, every emotion from each one came at full force, which is rare in a book with quite a few characters. They were all strong in their own right and all held their own.

Written from several POV's and jumping from past to present ypu do feel you get an in depth look into the full story and a full breakdown by each character.

I won't go into any detail with the storyline as I think it would definitely give the game away but it's a fabulously written book with plenty of strong positive points.

The only negatives I can give are that there was some predictability but that was definitely outweighed by the strong character development and also the plot was weak at times BUT the positives are SO much higher than the negatives!!

Huge thanks to netgalley and Bookouture for the ARC.

I’m happy to have finally finished The New Girlfriend by Sheryl Browne. This book is a gripping page turner with secrets, lies and manipulation!

This story throws a lot at you. Cassie is devastated when her only son Josh is tragically killed. Months later some girl shows up claiming to be Josh’s girlfriend and the mother of his child, WTF!! Cassie and her husband Adam are super skeptical but so want it to be true. Now Cassie has something to keep living for, but then she starts receiving creepy messages talking about a secret, but she isn’t the only one with secrets to keep. All these characters have lots of secrets, each with something big to lose.

The story is told in multiple POVs and in different times which I really loved, but one questions remains: who can we trust? Even with the various points of view, this story is filled with shocking twists that had me tapping my Kindle furiously.

I was a little harsh with this book. I gave this a 3 out of 5 but in reality it’s probably a 3.5 maybe even closer to a 4. The twist and turns were amazing, a little predictable but still really well done and enjoyable. The beginning was super intense but the biggest down fall of this book is that by chapter 2 it falls flat. I felt that majority of the book was super slow, dragged out, and repetitive. In my opinion it wasn’t until chapter 46 that things finally started to pick up.

This was one wild ride and I highly recommend it to those looking for a gripping psychological thriller with a jaw-dropping ending!

Honestly this book was a bit farfetched at some points. However, it was still an enjoyable read. There were some clichés but the plot moved at a good pace
