Well-Written, enjoyable, cute story, Georgia Beers never disappoints. The main characters are loveable and the story has the perfect ingredients for a romcom.

First, thanks to Netgalley for the digital copy for an unbiased review. I had a truly difficult time with this book, which was so sad for me because I was so looking forward to it. But now, almost a year since I started, I’m calling it and DNF-ing (something I really hate to do). The pacing really wasn’t my style, the characters were a bit flat (though not necessarily unlikeable). I was really into the plot summary, but it seemed as though most of the book was just internal angst over thinking the other protagonist is hot (there was little that I found that went deeper than surface level in their relationship). I wanted to badly to love this, but I just had a hard time rooting for and feeling excited about this relationship. I did enjoy the author’s writing style, and I know people who would enjoy this book (I am happy to recommend it), but the pacing and characterization weren’t for me.

If you’re looking for an easy to read romance for a rainy Saturday afternoon then grab a copy of this book. A gentle HEA that leaves you feeling all warm and fuzzy inside.

The characters are likeable and while the story was predictable at times there was a nice twist too.

Due to health reasons this book took a little longer to read, but when i was better this once again is a beautiful love story. Thank you to NetGalley for supplying this book for an honest review

Georgia Beers never fails to please me in the way she writes the feelings, looks, thoughts of each and everyone of her characters.

This slow burning romance will grip you from the start. Teddi and Leah are very likeable charterers but if i was being perfectly honest i don't think I've ever disliked any of her characters in any of her books. I've read a lot of her books as well.

Beers writes so well and always hits the nail on the head. Im always going to expect a 5 star book , no pressure.

I didn't want to give to much away but I hope you all enjoy the book.

I wanted to love this book....

But I couldn't get into it.

The main character is uptight, whiney, entitled and a bit of a brat..

Great potential and nice to see some lgbtq books about, but I hated this one.

Sorry

So there is absolutely no doubt that Georgia Beers is one of the best authors out there writing lesbian romance. And I won't say this book wasn't good because that's not the case. But it's just not one of the better ones she has written. The scale is just really high here. But I would still recommend cause it's a sweet story.

Why was this so meh?
Why did I never connect with het rom com through my life? Oh yeah, it was the fact they were so alien from my own experience that sci-fi was actually more believable to me. This is the most subtle alternate universe I’ve ever read. We are living in a time and place where same-sex attraction is as plausible as opposite sex. Homophobia doesn’t exist. Gaydar works so well the person you think is cute is actively gay.
No stress, perfect mate until way too late into the narrative. It felt forced. The grand gesture was lacking in realism and smacked of those forced, awkward vids of people proposing in public.

Georgia Beers, I cannot thank you enough for the adorable books you write. We are busy, and we are stressed. 2020 has been a doozy of a year for us all. It takes books like Hopeless Romantic to make the world a little better, and for a short time a little more peaceful. Diving into a good book makes the stresses of the world fall away. So I thank you Georgia Beers for a delightful book that made all seem right in the world for just a little bit.

The book begins by introducing us to wedding planner, Teddi Baker. Teddi has just begun rebounding both professionally and personally for a disaster of a marriage that wrecked both her heart and her income. While she can plan the most epic wedding for her clients, she no longer believes in happily ever after.

Leah Scott is a successful divorce attorney who is helping her younger sister plan her perfect day. Leah wants to give her sister the wedding of her dreams. Upon arriving at the wedding planner's office, she is immediately smitten with Teddi Baker. Sparks fly between these two ladies instantly. That is until Ms. Baker relieves that Leah is the attorney who helped her ex-wife take everything she had worked so hard to build.

The story is fun, witty, and has enough angst to keep you hooked. I loved that Beers was able to build the tension and keep the sparks between the two mains flying throughout the books. Hopeless Romantic makes you a smile and warms your heart. This is the perfect combination for a much needed escape on a chilly fall

Very boring and uninspired could not even finish. Would not recommend. It jedt fell flat with me in both its writing and character development.

Hopeless Romantic is an absolutely adorable romance! It’s perfect in every way and it’s everything we’ve come to expect from Georgia Beers. She gives her readers all the feels with this one.

Beers hooks her readers with an interesting and intriguing storyline. She takes one hopelessly romantic divorce lawyer, one jaded wedding planner and then fills every room that they’re in together with the kind of heat that sets off a four alarm fire. The attraction is beyond instant and intense.

When Teddie discovers that Leah was her ex-wife’s divorce lawyer, it gives Teddie pause, but not enough to squelch her attraction. What does bring the whole relationship to a screeching halt, strangely enough, is the issue of marriage. Though Teddie loves her job as a wedding planner, and truly enjoys helping brides-to-be realize all of their wedding day dreams, she ironically has strong reservations about believing that marriage is a commitment that stands the test of time. To Leah’s dismay, Teddie would rather keep things status quo than get married again.

Hopeless Romantic is fresh and original. The plot is compelling and very engaging. Teddie and Leah, the two leading ladies, are captivating and sexy; readers are drawn to them both. They come to appreciate Teddie’s insecurities and vulnerabilities. They understand she has been hurt badly by her ex and they are sympathetic to her reluctance to put herself out there again.

Readers are easily able to relate to Leah as well. Her love for all things hearts, flowers and romance is quite charming. Her passion for romantic movies and her longing for everlasting love is beyond appealing. Lesfic romance readers become completely invested in these two characters and their love affair.

Beers is a top-shelf romance writer and her craftsmanship is on full display in this book. Her closing scene is a pure delight and could almost be described as cinematic; it is beyond creative. In fact, it’s quite possible the most adorable ending I’ve read in a romantic lesfic in quite some time. It’s guaranteed to put a smile on every romance lover’s face!

I wholeheartedly recommend this book. In a genre that can sometimes be predictable, this book is definitely not. If you are looking for a well written romance with a nice twist, then Hopeful Romantic will surely satisfy.

Georgia Beers is my go-to-writer when I am in need of a lovely romantic story. This one is no exception. I really liked the blurb, the characters and the whole setting, but I did not connect as deeply as usual with the main characters or the plot. I am not sure. Maybe I needed a bit more drama from the outside ... when the conflict took place near the end of the book I was just like "Nah, can you please talk to each other?" ...

So, just 3.5 stars for this one.

ARC received via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoyed this. This month has been a bit of a downer for me, and this book was a great pick me up. Every now and then I just want to read a nice, sweet romance and this fit the bill nicely.

This features MCs Teddi, a divorced wedding planner, and Leah, sister of a bride to be who hires Teddi to plan her wedding. The catch is that Leah is also a divorce attorney, and she represented Teddi’s ex in their divorce, which cost Teddi half of her business and left her hurt and bitter.

Like in the rom-coms that are frequently mentioned in this book, these two have instant chemistry, and I really enjoyed their connection. Even once they realise who the other is they can’t help but be drawn to each other. I loved the pace their romance unfolded at and the way they talked to each other (the banter was pretty damn cute). There’s also some great side characters in Leah’s family and friends and Teddie’s friends (her family isn’t quite as fleshed out).

Everything flows along smoothly until the 80% mark, when the wheels came off pretty spectacularly. This was where I had to knock a star off the rating, I didn’t buy that these two would just walk away from each other without trying to reach a compromise, no discussion, nothing, just ‘we want different things, so we’re done. The rom-commy ending was also a bit too twee for me, I got where it was coming from but thought it was way over the top. Still I did love them as a couple, so was happy to see them reunite. If you’re in the mood for a cute romance, this should do the trick.

I absolutely loved this book. There is a divorce attorney Leah who is a hopeless romantic and a wedding planner Teddi who has soured on marriage after a losing everything to a nasty divorce. They take one look at each other and sparks fly. The kicker here is that Leah was Teddi's ex wife's divorce lawyer. Leah's sister is committed to using Teddi as her wedding planner and as Leah is paying for the wedding, Leah and Teddi have to get along. Teddi is very good at her job.
The story was well developed with witty dialogue and a definite sizzle between Leah and Teddi. Lindsey and Piper from Blend showed up in this one. I love when characters from other books show up. The ending was worth waiting for. I read the book and also listened to the audio and they both were excellent. Buy the book. You won't regret it

Beers has a formula and it works, but sometimes, perhaps just a little, it lacks colour.

Teddi seemed great. Leah seemed great too. Their relationship was also great, or maybe it was just good. The whole book just seemed to lack depth of character and depth of plot.

When I'm reading romance books, I want to feel the emotion. It doesn't need to be all the way through, but the best of breed are genuine.

The best part of this book for me was the realisation moment. Being vulnerable. Exposing yourself and your heart, I just wish I saw more and felt more along the way.

Despite the summary, this romance is actually pretty light on the drama and that gets a few bonus points from me.

I love Georgia Beers’ writing. Whenever she has a new release coming out, I’m excited and can’t wait to get my hands on it. I don’t think I’ve ever given any of her books lower than a four-star rating before, but for some reason – and it pains me to say this – I didn’t connect as well to Hopeless Romantic.

I did enjoy it. Hopeless Romantic is in no way a bad book! The characters are lovely. Teddi and Leah have great chemistry. There are few secondary characters in this one and they all have distinct personalities. The writing is very smooth and comforting (Beers is a comfort author for me). The reason the book didn’t have as big of an impact on me is probably that it’s the first book I picked up after a massive reading slump, and admittedly, I’m not a fan of weddings LOL.

I absolutely recommend Hopeless Romantic to anyone who enjoys a good feel-good romance!

An ARC was given to me in exchange for an honest review. Thanks!

Hopeless Romantic is the book I have been waiting for. It's sexy, sassy and all about romance!

If Hallmark does not pick this book up for screen production, then they are just damn crazy! Talk about the perfect romance with a little bit of angsty torture that we all know Georgia Beers is fond of! Who doesn't love a little torture in their romance novels?

I loved this book from the moment I read the words chapter one. I connected with Leah so much throughout the story. She loves all my favourite movies and her favourite pastime is going to the movie theatre to watch rom-coms then eat cake afterwards. That's my kind of human.

Teddi Baker is this beautiful, kind woman who had her world turned upside down by her ex-wife. If anyone deserves a woman like Leah Scott, it's her. There was this moment that has stuck with me after reading the book; then it impacted me again after listening to the audiobook. Leah and Teddi almost fall into bed together but don't. Leah gives this little speech after it, and I think I swooned so hard I nearly hit my head. Watch out for that moment because it's one of the most romantic, heartfelt moments I've ever read. It's a goddamn special moment and I kind of expected little heart to start floating out of the book.

I think you all know now how I feel about Georgia Beers' skilful writing of first kisses. Actually all kisses… She's the Queen of writing the kissing moments. Leah and Teddi's first kiss had my heart beating faster than normal. I have no idea if it was the count down to the kiss (yes, literally a countdown) that maximised the intensity or if it was Georgia Beers just sprinkling her magical kissing fairy dust… who knows! But it was amazing but funnily enough not the kiss itself but what it signified and more importantly for what was to come. Because when the second kiss happened, it knocked my socks off and from there the intensity of each kiss just got better, and the chemistry got more powerful between them.

Lastly, no epilogue and I can't believe I'm saying this but no epilogue needed. The happily ever after is baked in here and the story takes place over the period of a year, so you know by the end that these two are going to ride off into happiness together.

Leah and Teddi have chemistry in spades, and it's from the beginning. The build-up to them having sex is really intense and plays out beautifully. What I didn't expect was how hot they would be together when they hit the sheets… wow! Leah and Teddi know how to light up the sheets.

I think my favourite moments were when it was just them sitting on the couch and their intimate chemistry flowed. You could really feel the emotional connection between both characters. The eternal romantic in me loved that.

This book is officially one of my Georgia Beers favourites. It's the kind of book that sucks you in and has you finishing it in one sitting. The swoon factor is high with this one, and I adored the happy ever after feels at the end.
