I have to say that I really like the writing style of the author.
However since is a romance book I prefer the ones that burns faster.
Do not get me wrong is pretty mature this one. 
But for me develop the whole story in the last 25% of the book. Rushing all it was like no. 

Also the end is so abrupt that I think in this case including an epilogue should have been a good idea.

I do love that the location is Sheffield! Most of stories happens in London, well this one started there but then the main plot is in Sheffield. I love that!

Sweet, heartwarming romance story with a very stubborn hero and a hard to break heroine. 
I enjoyed their banter and I’m always high-five any heroine that wants something and goes for it without having to depend on any male help. 
There were many moments when I felt like the story was dragging for me and some were felt just like adding unnecessary words but overall it’s a nice enjoyable story that many readers will enjoy.

I was a bit afraid i wouldn`t like the book, but i ended up really liking it. Some parts were a bit boring and long, but most parts were moving in a comfortable pace and we got to know the characters in a comfortable and nice pace. Though, i felt it a bit to wrap up very quickly at the end and that dragged the stars a bit down for my sake. But it was funny, lighthearted and nice.

This was a great book with fab characters that just draw you in - I really enjoyed it & will be looking for more books from this author

I loved this so much. Easy to get engrossed in, and Katherine and her family are so likeable, that I was delighted with all the happy endings. Just a lovely feel good rom com about what happens when things don’t go to plan, and everything changes.

A heart warming and well written romcom that we all needed during this wild time. I love that our MC is Katherine, a 30 year old, who’s actually lived a life and now has to essentially start over. It’s a bit of a slow burn when she meets her artist Christopher who just so happens to rub her fur a bit the wrong way.  What could possibly happen to make these two create a heated relationship? This book will give you that enemies to lovers vibe to check all the boxes.

AHH This book was such a pleasant surprise for me. I was expecting one of those typical cheesy hallmark esque books but this book was honestly so much more. I will also start by saying, I have such a soft spot for British romances. This story follows Kate who decides to just change her entire life and move back to her own town and quit her job. This book had the romance piece we all love (enemies to lovers, AHH) but it also had so much more. It has Kate who is so concerned about reinventing her life and really starting over. I loved that the main characters main focus was herself for so much of the book, and the love story comes later. This book truly just melted my heart, and I will definitely be reading another book by this author VERY SOON!

Accidentally in Love gets off to a strong start. When Katharine is passed over for a promotion given to a man with less experience, she quits her job as a curator at a London art gallery. With her relationship also at a crossroads, she decides to open her own art gallery in her home town of Sheffield. Katharine's determination and her excitement about her project is one of the highlights of the book, as well as the lovely relationship with her family. The big disappointment for me was Christopher. There was no chemistry or tension in their exchanges and it all fell flat. Hate-to-love stories can be fantastic but unfortunately, for me, there was no spark between Katharine and Christopher. I also found the 'he's mean cos he likes you' storyline ridiculous - they're not five year olds. Yes, he was grieving but I felt it could be handled in a better way.

This book sounded like the perfect adult romance for me after loving the Flatshare by Beth O’Leary last year however, it just did not hit the mark for me. I do not know if I had too high hopes for it but I ended up not enjoying it which was really disappointing.

Accidentally in Love follows Katherine Patterson who has grown seemingly bored of her 9-5 life. After quitting her job surrounded by overbearing males and leaving her boyfriend she decides to move back home to Sheffield. She decides she’s going to finally open the art gallery that she has dreamed of since she was younger, and she has one artist that she has her eye on for the opening. Kit is a local artist, but his stubbornness and lack of communication is not what Katherine is after. But when the two seem to be attracted to more than each other’s work things begin to go wrong. 
The book started out pretty strong in the beginning where there was a strong feminist theme with Katherine quitting her job because a male has got the position she is more qualified for the third time. The thing I loved most about this book was the references to Sheffield. I am from that area which was exciting to see within a book as it’s not a usual setting. It was the small details but Missen did such a good job of describing the area. There was a good sense of humour throughout the narration which did have me laughing out loud at some moments. Also the cover is so cute and adorable!
The thing I disliked the most about this was the romance. I just found that the communication between the two characters were lacking and I feel like Kit’s character started to rub me the wrong way. The development between the characters seemed rushed and the ending was so fast I could not quite believe I was reading it. It felt like all the conflict occurred within the last fifty pages which took me by surprise. I think that the romance did have somewhere to go but it just did not quite achieve it. The timeline got a little bit lost. 
Overall I planned to love this book but it just fell flat for me. I ended up giving it a two stars for the humour and the location of Sheffield! I feel like if you do enjoy a fast, movie romance then this book is for you but I was hoping for a more of a slow burn romance.

I had never read a book by Belinda Missen before, and I'm really glad I did. I enjoyed the setting of the art world, and how Katharine, the protagonist, quit her job, left behind a toxic relationship, moved home, started her own gallery, and fell in love all in the space of 4 weeks! An all around fun read!

This was a cute story of a woman starting over and building the life she wants. I found it to drag a bit but the last third was great. Thanks to NetGalley and Harper Collins/ HQ Digital for the early copy in exchange for an honest review.

This was a fairly lighthearted, fun romance. It deals with the loss of spouses a bit, but in a hopeful kind of way. The heroine makes her life over in the span of 6 weeks, so some elements felt a bit rushed, and the social media aspects felt a little too good to be true. but overall, it was a nice story of a loving family and an enemies-to-lovers romance. Although the characters like to make jokes with innuendoes, the actual sex scenes are pretty minimal.

I really enjoyed this book. It was warm, fun, light & fluffy, funny and comforting all in one. It was wonderful written and easy to read. Would recommend!

I absolutely adored Katharine and her witty personality! The romance was everything I hoped for and the plot/story was absolutely great. 
A very enjoyable, quick romcom!

This was a light and engaging read that lifted my spirits this pandemic. It is a bit slow to get moving and there are a bunch of subplots to follow, but overall, I enjoyed watching (reading?) Kit and Katie's journey to happily ever after.

An absolutely brilliant flirty rom com! The concept is a very well known one - girls packs up and leaves to start all over again.. in that respect it was very predictable, but it was such a light hearted book with such lovable characters you can't help but love it! Will 100% be recommending this book to everyone!

Though the book was an entertaining read, I was disappointed with the plot. The conflicts between the main characters seemed very forced and just seemed to make both of them seem to have very weak character. If there had been more justification for the conflicts, perhaps a little more depth to the characters, it would have been a much more satisfying read.
