Amateurish writing for me. Melodramatic and I didn't like the MC romantic relationship, the time frame for many of The events especially at the end seemed a little bit odd. Overdramatic and nothing new to one oversaturated genre. The reason for the MC split very common behavior these type of heroes have in this genre too and the heroine always forgiving after almost no groveling.

So there was a lot I liked about this book. For starters, I liked that the author slowly built to a reveal of the memories. Yes, it was a little predictable where it was going, but compared to the many romances and women's fiction books that are just all exposition, all the time, it was a welcome change. I rather liked the idea of starting over, forgetting the painful parts of a relationship--it was an interesting twist on the amnesia trope. But there was also a lot not to like--the discussion of the heroine's weight gain went to a cringey place, for instance. It would have been fine just to have our heroine struggle with waking up in a body that is not in the shape she remembers being in (and that does happen in the book). But she frets about it to the hero, who then goes and discusses it with all his mates at the bar, and when one friend expresses admiration for her bigger curves, the hero punches his friend in the face. Just... why? This is the guy we're supposed to root for? And then there's the whole issue of cheating. Even though the husband is horrible, the heroine doesn't actually do anything to end their relationship before shacking up with her ex-boyfriend, which is just not right, amnesia or not. But I do think I would like to read more by this author.

I thought the storyline throughout this book was interesting, and the mystery laced through it kept me intrigued.
This is the first book I have read by this author, and I found their writing style wonderful.
The storyline flowed well, and there was certainly enough going on throughout to keep the reader engaged.
It is an easy to read, enjoyable book. Most certainly worth a read.

I am a fan of L.A. Casey. It has been a while since I have read one of her books. After reading the blurb for this book I have to have it. I can’t imagine waking up and having no memory.

Noah has been in an accident that caused her to lose the last five years of her life. All she remembers is her childhood sweet heart and friend Elliot. She doesn’t remember that years ago she broke up with him and married someone else. Elliot has to live with the fact that he messed up and the relationship ended, but is it really over between these two?

I really enjoyed this book.

I like the easy writing style and, adorable plot. At first, I thought it's a second chance romance novel but actually, it turns out to be a suspense novel. Romantic suspense to be precise. That suspense element came after 80% reading stage.

I like the small number of characters in this story. They became active roles. Elliot is a "too-good-to-be-true" kind of boyfriend, and Noah is dumb. LOL, sorry for saying this but I couldn't brain the fact that she couldn't think clearly before making the right move. I was expecting Noah to be a bit smarter but, meh. Anderson is a pain in the arse. I hated him. Good job author! You managed to develop all these feelings in me while reading this.

Smooth story development. Speed up after 50% reading because I couldn't wait to read the ending.

Highly recommended to those who love reading a romance and suspense novel. Don't expect too much of romantic moves because most of the scene was in the hospital.

I received this eARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you, NetGalley, Author(s) and Publisher(s) for the chance of having this ARC. Looking forward to reading more! All the best!

This was my first L.A. Casey novel, and it was an enjoyable book, but I was hoping for a little more suspense based on the description of the book. The second-chance romance follows the story of Noan and Elliot after Noah wakes up in a hospital room with no memory of how she got there. With a brain injury that leaves her stuck five years in the past, she discovers that she is no longer with Elliot and that she is married to someone else.

Overall, I thought the plot was good, a little predictable at times, but not in a bad way. The characters of Noah and Elliot were likable and easy to relate to. I wish there was more of a backstory to Anderson so that you could root for him a little more. It seemed that there was all this build-up between the main characters, and then it just ended.

I wish there was a little more substance throughout, but overall, I’m glad that I got a chance to read this, and I look forward to seeing what else L.A. Casey writes.

Um livro agradável de ler, porem achei a personagem feminina um pouco chata e sonsa . O mocinho foi o que fez a história valer a pena

I received a copy of the book from Netgalley to review. Thank you for the opportunity.
A sweet as sugar love story, perfect for a lazy day read. The writing is good and the story nice although very predictable.
On the whole a good book.

Forgetting You is told from dual points of view from Noah and Elliott. They were friends and then a couple when they were younger. Now 5 years later Noah wakes up after a car crash and she has some memory loss thinking it is 5 years in the past. All she wants is to see Elliott. She is married to a guy named Anderson, but she doesn't remember anything about him.

As she is healing Elliott is there and hoping for a second chance. Anderson is there telling Noah how they met and their history. As Noah is recovering she still has feelings for Elliott and she learns why they broke up in the first place. She still wants to be with him, but needs to figure out what to do with Anderson.

While recovering she finds out things she forgot from the past 5 years. Things that could save her life. Will she end up with Elliott or with Anderson?

A well written but predictable story. The likable characters improve the somewhat tropey storyline. I did enjoy it, but its not one that I'm going to rave about to my friends.

Complementary copy given for honest review and opinion. The character building was good but slow at times. I felt there was a lag in the story at times but in all it was a really good romance. I would recommend this book.

This book is not really my cup of tea. I didn't really like the male main character and he exhibited many "funny" behaviors that I find manipulative.

With thanks to NetGalley for the ARC of this book, all opinions expressed here are my own.

Forgetting You by LA Casey was the first book I read by this author and it was just an okay read. It follows the story of Noah and Elliott, specifically their reunion after 4 years apart. Noah has been in a car crash making her forget the previous 5 years. There is insta love because of this - as they haven’t fallen out of love yet. They sleep together despite her being married. In fact her parents support this cheating. She continually fat shames her “new” size 16 body as it’s not fit/skinny like she remembers. Even though she had reasons to be leaving her husband I just couldn’t hope for the happily ever after here.

An average 3 star read.

I received an eARC of Forgetting You by L.A Casey from Amazon Publishing UK and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you!

I give this book 1 star. Unfortunately, the description was more intriguing than the book itself. There was too much drama and the book overall outlandish.

In my opinion this book was an okay read. I liked it but in the end the story was predictable. I have seen movies where the MCs meet with an accident and lose their memory, which leads to them to either forget or/and remember their old/new love so I hoped that the author would bring something fresh to the storyline since the blurb sounded interesting but there was nothing new about it. The plot line lacked a backstory, especially with regards to Noah and her marrying Anderson soon after her break up with her 'soul mate' Elliot and who she doesn't remember after the accident that causes her memory loss. The reason for Noah and Elliot's break up was pretty lame as well...they could have easily sorted out the misunderstanding through dialogue. I also felt that Anderson's character could have been more developed but instead he remained only a character type throughout the book.

I received an e-Arc of the book from Netgally, the publishers Amazon Publishing UK/Montlake and the author L.A. Casey. The publishing date of the book was 6th October 2020.

Story about a girl who wakes up and thinks it’s 4 years before, doesn’t remember her husband but remembers her first love....a good plot and story, perhaps it went on slightly too long and the descriptions of the love between her and her first love a bit cringey and graphic. A decent read though

Its been a while since I have read LA Casey's work and it was like coming home. Her writing always manages to draw me in and give me everything I love, laughter, emotion, steam.

Noah and Elliot, i loved these two from the beginning and could feel the sizzling chemistry that was brewing between them, even though they had been apart for 4 years. Soon as Elliott gets the call that Noah needs him he drops everything and is there for her.

I felt every emotion that played out between these two, the push/pull the ups and downs. They were perfect together. The glimpses into the past were well placed and flowed beautifully with the storyline. I will be honest though I got quite frustrated with Noah for making the decision she did all those years ago but she did redeem herself. She obviously just needed the reset switch.

Well done LA Casey on another great read.

This sadly did not grab me as much as I had hoped. There was dramatic emotional rollercoaster, but it made it all a bit tiresome rather than actually emotionally. The dialogue was long, tiring and did not add at all.
