An unusual mix of themes. Initially from the blurb, I took this book to be more on time travelling science fiction and not so much the philosophy.
Overall this was not a book that I enjoyed though it had been well written.

I really tried to like this story. Idea was great but found it very slow to get into the story and felt there were too many offshoots that detracted from the main story. Good dialogue and visuals but I gave up after about 130 pages as it just did not hold my interest.

Just NOT my cup of tea. Too disjointed, I didn't care about the characters and simply couldn't get into it. I wish I could, the premise is great. I'd like to see a better editing.

Time is perceived but is not finite. Mathematically proven by a brilliant engineer named Michael in his college research papers. Michael posits that time travel is possible. He is immediately hired by a wealthy industrialist, Malcolm, whose ambition is to build a time machine. Malcolm raises a half-billion dollars to build research facilities and staff the campus with the best engineers to achieve that goal. Believing in fate, Malcolm uses that belief to guide him in hiring the right group of 12 people to send back in time to accurately document the last days of Christ.

Led by his son, MJ, the team witnesses Christ’s crucifixion, rolls the rock aside at his tomb, and revive Christ using donated blood and antibiotics to take him back to the future. This results in the fulfillment of the biblical story that documented the disappearance of his body after his entombment. Ultimately escaping during their journey back, Christ is now somewhere unknown in America continuing his work.

While the storyline may seem straight forward, its literary artistry is in the embellishments the author makes. The story has a bit of intrigue, a bit of romance, and none of the action of a thriller. Throughout the book, everyone on the time-traveling team is committed to being ethical in pursuit of historical knowledge and determined not to influence or alter historical events.

Memory: The Spirit of Time is a well-told entertaining story that keeps the reader’s mind engaged in contemplating its events.

A fun read! Fast paced. Clever. A mixture of American pop culture and philosophy; interspersed with a bit of theology and science fiction.
The author weaves an entertaining plot line that easily carries the reader along, culminating in a surprising and intriguing conclusion that leaves the reader smiling, reflecting, and wondering.
