I liked this book and could see it being made into a hallmark movie. I think we needed more story for each of the 6 book recipients, the balance wasn't right for me.

This was a wonderful story of hope, friendship and kindness.
I really enjoyed the different point of views seeing other people’s lives and seeing how they compare to how others perceive them. I loved how all the story lines grew and intertwined and that through the connections of 6 random books all these people create friendships and help bring hope, light and positivity to each other’s lives, in most cases without even realising it.
I loved reading Nora and Simon, their love for each other was so true and pure and clearly love what they do.
It’s not my usual read but it was wonderfully festive and uplifting.

Firstly thanks to Trapeze and Netgalley for the early review copy of this book. I love Christmas fiction so I hoped this book would be right up my street - I was not disappointed!

I read this book in one sitting. It would be perfect also as a Christmas movie, the author describes the bookshop and surrounding areas makes you feel like you can see it in your mind so clearly.

The book has kindness at it's heart but also isn't afraid to tackle more difficult issues, for example male mental health.

This book is perfect for a Christmas read - everyone should take a few hours of their busy December schedule to read this delightful book.

Nora and Simon own a small bookshop in the small market town of Stowford. Christmas is just around the corner and the bookshop is in severe financial trouble; closure looks to be on the horizon. As Nora and Simon try to stave off having to sell the bookshop, a gesture of kindness might just help their chances of staying open.

A lovely warmhearted book with a great cast of characters which was an easy and enjoyable read.

Be ready to be transported into a fantastic tale that is all you need this Christmas. If you love Christmas, love a sense of community and random acts of kindness and love books, this is the story for you.

Meet Simon and Nora, a lovely couple, running a traditional small town bookshop. Unfortunately the bookshop is being hit by hard times. Can they turn things around for the business? Can they enjoy their Christmas and maybe spread Christmas cheer to those around them?

This is a beautifully written, heart warming story that you will be drawn into. As you begin reading you will be unable to put this down. The author describes everything so well that you will feel that you are sat in the bookshop, sat in the local pub, walking around the picturesque Cotswold town.
I loved every minute of this book and fell in love with all the characters too, but have the tissues at the ready as there are some very moving bits in this book.
The story deals with some sensitive topics, but shows how what may seem like a small gesture can make a huge difference to someone else’s life. If only everyone could read this and follow the example of the characters in this book.

I would certainly recommend this book to everyone and look forward to reading future books by this author.

Thank you to Netgalley, the publishers and most importantly the author, for the chance to read this book, in exchange for an honest review.

Christmastime Cheer.....
A heartwarming, festive read. Christmastime is upon Simon and Nora and their Cotswolds bookshop on the green. With finances tight, however, the pair come up with a plan to save the bookshop but at the same time to spread some much needed Christmas cheer and hope. A delightful read of miracles that might just happen at Christmastime.

Well this is a Christmas story that would be right at home on the Hallmark Channel. I could pretty much see it playing as movie in my minds eye at all times, and just had that really lovely and special feel to it.

There is something just so lovely, heart-warming, and gentle about this story, that it seeped under my skin without my realising, and I ended up with just a massive smile on my face, and towards the end a tear pricking at my eyes too.

I know it was the cover, and the fact that there is a bookshop and Christmas involved that drew me to this book, but it was the superb storytelling inside that kept my attention as I whizzed through the pages.

We get alternating chapters focusing on Nora and Simon as they attempt to come up with ways of saving their bookstore, their love of all things book and we get a feel for their customers and local community.

From a start that just gets up warmed up, at the point that Simon launches the competition to send 6 books out at random to people that have been nominated that may be feeling a bit lonely, this story really gets going, as we also get chapters in the lives of the recipients, getting to know them a bit better, and seeing just how perfect each one's received book was.

I knew nothing about this book going into starting it, and feel going in blind worked out really well for me, so I'm not going to say much more, other than you are in for a treat. I loved all the incredibly real feeling characters and there are some important themes touched on within the pages.

Although this didn't automatically make me in a Christmas mood, it did re-affirm my belief in Christmas miracles! It has all the ingredients for a fabulous story set at Christmas that you could easily read at any point in the lead up to the big day itself.

Thank you to Trapeze and Netgalley for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

The six tales of Christmas is a beautifully written book combining Christmas and books in a lovely festive package!
A struggling bookshop, acts of kindness, community support and festive fare make for an entrancing read perfect in the lead up to Christmas! This book highlights the importance of supporting local business, the amazing power of books and the importance of reading in your life no matter how old you are, mental health is also mentioned, so important at the moment particularly amongst males and a great way to highlight this topic and increase awareness! A real feel good read that emphasises kindness in all its forms and the restorative power of a good book.
Thank you net galley for this early read.

I received an advanced copy of The Six Tales of Christmas, by Anne Marie Ryan. Simon and Nora's book shop in the Cotswolds, is not doing well at all. Will this be their Christmas at the store? They decide to give 6 books, to members of their village, what happens next could be a Christmas miracle.

Thanks Netgalley for allowing me to read this book Bookshop owners Simon and Nora are not sure if they can keep the shop open after Christmas. Nora has an idea to send a book to random individuals who need a little cheering up. One of the individuals was sent a book that made him reevaluate his life. Thus book was well written and gives true meaning to the word Christmas.
