I am a huge fan of Sarah Morgan's books, I don't think I've ever read one that I've not enjoyed to its fullest and I've got to say that I think One More for Christmas might just be my favourite book of hers yet!

I love how She engages you with the characters and really builds their back stories, as this enables me to feel like I really know them and that I am almost in the story with them. I fell in love with the sisters Samantha and Ella from the start, and enjoyed the journey that they both embark on with their mum. Brodie is just so sweet and I really liked the chemistry building between him and Samantha.

This book was just a spectacular winter read set in the glorious snowy Highlands.

I cannot wait for more from Sarah Morgan!

Thank you so much to NetGalley and Publishers for the chance to review this amazing book!

One More For Christmas follows the relationship between a mother and her daughters.

Each chapter is written from one characters view and I liked this writing style. I felt it was a little slow to get going but once the action moved to Scotland the story picked up and the descriptions of the surroundings were gorgeous,

It ended quite abruptly - I felt it all wrapped up a bit quickly and I was left wanting more.

Thank you to #netgalley and the publisher for providing me with ARC in return for an honest review.

I absolutely adore Sarah Morgan's books, her story telling is so uplifting and heart-warming which is perfect for a story set at Christmas time.
One More for Christmas follows a successful career driven mother whose relationship with her daughters is not the best. Ella and Samantha have not seen their mother for some time and when a situation leads to them spending time together at Christmas all they can see is disaster, especially with all the secrets.
I read this so quickly, although I really wanted it to last. Sarah Morgan is able to write some really warm and uplifting stories that cover family issues and drama with ease. I loved reading the romantic trilogies that she wrote but these stand alone reads are just amazing too.
I have to point out how beautiful are the covers to all of Sarah's book. I adore them. They all look so pretty on my book shelf.

Samantha and Ella are not close to their mother. So much so that their mother, Gayle didn't know that Ella was married and also had a daughter. After a terrible accident, Gayla, who was once a workaholic is determined to make things better. She is determined to make Christmas special, if that means going to Scotland for Christmas, so be it. They will make their traditions and have a family Christmas, because it is never too late.

This book is a typical Sarah Morgan book, filled with family, love, tradition and festivity. As this has a dual POV we can clearly see how diverse the views are about the family vacation. Gayla is such a strong character when we first met her, she is career-driven so it was really sweet to see her softer and more vulnerable side.
Also can we take a moment to appreciate Brodie, the owner of the lodge! AH he is the perfect book boyfriend, he is so different to any other book boyfriend I would usually love but I LOVED HIM! He is so sweet and I wouldn't mind seeing him in a kilt haha!

Overall this is the perfect Christmas read. It is sweet, festive and adorable!

Thank you to HQ and Harpercollins for a copy of this e-arc in exchange for an honest review.

What's your favourite Christmas tradition?

Samantha and Ella have several, and none of them include their mother, the woman they haven't seen in five years, the one who destroyed their Christmases as children. But with their mother determined to reconnect with her daughters, family secrets finally coming to light, and a sudden trip to the snowy hills of Scotland, this is going to be a Christmas that all three women will never forget.

I loved every moment of this book. It's such a wonderfully festive, deeply moving story about making amends for past mistakes and the magic of Christmastime.

The book is mostly told through the eyes of Samantha, Ella and their mother Gayle. There are so many layers to each of the three women and Sarah Morgan takes her time carefully peeling back each one. It was amazing discovering more about then, and also the secondary characters too. I would say my favourite was possibly Samantha (she loves historical romance novels!) but I also loved seeing the effort Gayle puts in towards making amends with her daughter's.

There is a slight instance of romance, Samantha and the owner of the lodge they stay at have a little connection on the side (Brodie is a Scotsman who works as a data analyst, is shy and ever-so-sweet and he also wears glasses *swoon*) but the main focus is on the sisters and their relationship with their mother.

I loved the message Morgan intertwined into every woman's narrative, that it's never too late too change and the epilogue to me was perfection.

All in all, another amazing Christmas novel from Sarah Morgan! Highly recommended if you like your warm Christmas fuzzies with a side of sisterly love and families reconnecting.

Many thanks to HQ and Netgalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

The story follows two sisters Samantha and Ella and their mother Gayle. The mother and daughters have a very fractured relationship.
An accident gives Gayle the chance to reflect on the fractured relationship, and with a lot of hesitation on the daughters part they decide to spend Christmas together.
The story is about second chances and moving forward in life.
Overall this is another great Christmas read from the queen if Christmas romance.

3.5 stars rounded up to 4

For sisters, Samantha and Ella Mitchell, Christmas is there most precious time of the year. It's about making up for everything their childhood Christmases lacked. But this year, they'll be buying presents for the most unexpected guest, their estranged mother. Its been five years since they last seen each other.

Gayle Mitchell is at the top of her career, but success has come at a price, her relationship with her daughters. She never seems to say or do the right thing. But when Gayle has a brush with her own mortality forces Gayle to make amends.

Gayle had had a terrible accidental that made her want to reconnect with her daughters. They had not spoken for five years. This is a story of reconciliation and forgiveness. The story is told from multiple points of view. They all agree to travel from New York to Scotland so that Sam can look at a castle as a possible holiday destination for the travel company she works for. The characters are likeable and well rounded. The descriptions of Scotland were accurate. This is a feel, good Christmas read.

I would like to thank #NetGalley, #HQ and the author #SarahMorgan for my ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Gayle hasn't seen her daughters in five years but an accident forces her to take a look at her life. She decides its time to heal those bonds but will her daughters want to. Ella has her own secrets from her mother and Sam is worried she's too much like her own mother. Can they all come together for a Christmas to remember.

Aww this was just such a wonderful Christmas read. It tugs hard on your heart strings and almost brought me to tears more than once. I'm a big fan of Sarah Morgan so knew this would be a good read and it didn't disappoint at all. The plot is well written and the ending is perfect. The idea of a Christmas in the Scottish Highlands is perfect. The images created through this just instantly draw you in. I loved Ella and Sam but Mary was by far my favourite character. She added the depth and perspective needed for Gayle. A beautiful festive read.

I really enjoyed reading this book, it is a perfect Christmas read. There are reindeer, gingerbread, snow, Christmas trees, family get together and romance. It is very festive.
The story is narrated by the female characters. It would have been nice to hear more about what the males thought, especially Brodie. It is easy to follow which character is narrating, and the story flows well between each character.
The main focus is about Samantha, her Sister Ella and their estranged Mother Gayle. Gayle realises that she wants a family reunion at Christmas time, although all three Women have issues around this. The theme of the book revolves around whether or not the three of them can forgive each other and have a happy family Christmas together.
The book is very emotional but enjoyable. The only thing that stops this book from being a 5* book is the ending. I thought that it finished too soon, and an extra chapter or epilogue would have been better. It is still a fantastic festive read.
Thank you to Netgalley and the Publisher for my ARC.

When high-powered business woman Gayle has an accident at work, she realises the time has come to make amends with the family she hasn’t spoken to for many years. So, she invites herself to spend Christmas with her daughters, Ella and Samantha, in the wilds of the Scottish Highlands.

As they prepare to embark on the first Christmas they have shared in many years, the three women begin to learn some home truths about one another.

Can they open their hearts and let the family festivities let them heal?

This story was told from several narrative strands but instead of these multiple points of view offering a full story, I felt it only served to increase a lack of focus. Then there were characters, such as Brodie, who didn’t have a perspective at all, which I really think hampered my affection and empathy to certain events.

I have to say I didn’t enjoy this story as much as some of the authors others, I just felt like there was something missing. The ending of the story was, both at once, too neat and also suddenly over. Interestingly, I am not usually a fan of an epilogue. However, I think one in this book would have really been an advantage and provided a parting connection to the characters development.

That said, the setting was perfect. Morgan is especially skilled at creating imagery for her readers with prose full of delicious descriptions, and this book is no exception. There was snow, Christmas trees and gingerbread aplenty, with a few reindeer thrown in too!

If you are looking for a light and fun festive read, I’m sure this one you will enjoyed cuddled up by a cosy Christmas fire.

This is another cracking story from Sarah Morgan and just in time for Christmas. As we’re all adjusting to the reality of a very different Christmas, it was comforting to read of about a lower key, family only celebration in a remote part of Scotland.
Having read a few books by this author, I know it’s not a fluke that she offers such in depth studies of human emotions. I was genuinely moved by Ella and Samantha’s emotionally deprived childhood and was surprised when I started to soften my view of Gayle.
I do believe that people are the product of their life experiences but, I also believe that people can change. I know the old saying about Leopard’s not changing their spots but there are exceptions to many rules, and I became emotionally invested in Gayle’s desire for reconciliation.
Of course, as with all of Sarah Morgan’s books, there is always room for a little romance and this story upheld that rule.
I do hope you’ll have a read of this book and enjoy it as much as I did.

Feelgood festive fare replete with all the tropes of Christmas fiction. Cue: family feuds, idyllic snowy Scottish Highland setting, dreamy (yet initially gruff) handsome stranger, mouth watering food, myriad sparkly decorations, abundant mugs of hot chocolate, and of course, romance and reconciliation! Perfect wintry escapism for these uncertain times. Thank you Netgalley for the advance review copy in exchange for an honest review.

This story has all the components of a perfect festive read, family reconciliations, amazing wintery scenery, cooking, hot romance and descriptions of Christmas that are so cosy they will put a smile on your face long after finishing the book. After the tumultuous year we’ve had with Covid this book should be available on prescription to cheer us all up!

What can I say? I love Sarah Morgan’s books and One More For Christmas did not disappoint! I was swept along by this story of a family broken by secrets and misunderstandings. Gayle is a high flying career woman with her own business in New York, who, after an argument, has not seen her daughters, Samantha and Ella, for five years. However, after an accident, Gayle ends up in hospital, and asks her daughters to visit. In an effort to mend family relationships and get to know her daughters and her granddaughter, Gayle decides to review her life and invites herself to go away for the Christmas holidays with Samantha, Ella, Michael (Ella’s husband) and Tabs (Ella’s daughter) to stay in a remote Scottish estate.
We are then whisked away to Kinleven Estate in Scotland owned by the McIntyre family - Mary, her daughter Kirstie and son Brodie. There the family try and get passed misunderstandings and become a family again. Sarah Morgan is great at writing about believable family relationships in such a way that you feel like you are involved with her characters - I really liked everyone in this book.
I was enchanted by this book and want to book my next Christmas at Kinleven! This book has ingredients for a perfect fairytale Christmas including shortbread, snow, sledges, reindeer, Christmas trees, log fires and some romance thrown in! A wonderful Christmas tale, just right for snuggling up under the Christmas tree with a hot chocolate and a plate of shortbread. Delicious......

Another great Christmas read by Sarah Morgan.
We begin with the sisters Samantha and Ella Mitchell who live in Boston without their parents. They have each other but their mother is one they have never gotten on with and havent spoke to her for over five years and thats the way they like to keep it until Samanatha gets the call that their mother has had an accident in NYC.
The gitrls have very good reasons why they have a distant relationship with their mother but now shes asking to see them after her accident, can they girls build bridges for one last time and become a normal family at Christmas?
Ella is a happy housewife with her daughter Tab who sounds like a handful but a beautiful girl. Samanatha is a buiness woman who travels everywhere to make clinets have the best christmas holidays ever and her most recent one is over to Kinleven in the highlands of scotland. Gayle, their mother decides she wants to join them for christmas but Ella has not told their mother she is amrried and has a little girl.
Before we know it, Samanatha, Gayle, Ella, Michael and Tab are heading to Scotland for a christmas trip to make it magical for Tab but can Gayle keep it up. She isnt very positive when it comes to christmas and has never shared anything fun with her daughter when the holidays arrived.
When were in Kinleven, the manor huse where they are staying has the perfect location, they have wild country walks, reindeers, snow, and workers for the manor house who own the house. Luckily, for both families they families get along. We learn the love again after many years of being apart and we learn just how close the sisters are and nothing can break them apart. Theres a man who does all the work around the manor house.... samanatha likes or him and shes mortified by her embarassing phone call to him, luckily she warms to him and they have fun but can it be anything more? can smanatha open up her inner samanatha and let her guard down to find love?
This books gives up hope when we need it, its very festive and i enjoyed it alot.. sarahs books never let me down.

Gayle contacts her daughters Samantha and Ella following an accident, despite having no contact for 5 years. Can a family holiday in Scotland over the Christmas period rebuild their rocky relationship? A lovely book to curl up with on a cold autumn day, with a real feel good factor.

When Gayle Mitchell topples off a chair on live tv she feels humiliated, while waiting for the ambulance to arrive she is asked for someone to contact but can think of Boone a part from her daughter who she hasn’t spoken to in five years.

Business women Samantha is shocked to get the canon to say her mother is in hospital and immediately phoned Ella to let her know, but Ella has her own secrets.

A great book I really Enjoyed it,
