I really enjoyed The Wife Who Knew Too Much, having loved one of Michele’s previous books ‘It’s Always The Husband’.
Tabitha is delighted when she runs into her first love Connor Ford, ten years after she ended up heartbroken. This absolutely addictive book tells their story. How did they end up where they are? Who can be trusted? Who is the real Connor Ford? What will become of Tabitha and Connor?
Brilliant domestic thriller, highly recommend.

This is a book that grips you from the beginning and keeps pulling you back for more. The characters come to life on the page, some innocently naive while others leave a bad taste in the mouth. As the story unfolds the characters deepen until, by the end, everything I thought I knew about them had been flipped upside down and inside out.

The timeline is dissected at crucial moments, bringing the perspectives of the different main players together in real time. The author does a brilliant job of showing 'how the other half lives' and digging down into the motivations of money, love and status.

I really enjoyed this book and its twists and turns.

This is a tough one to review.

Tabitha finds herself seeing the man she fell in love with years ago and his very wealthy wife dies suspiciously.

While it’s a good read it does suffer from cliched tropes and a very strange frenetic pace.

Certainly quite hard to read.

I really loved this book! It’s the first one by Michele Campbell I’ve read and I will definitely read more. I was really gripped and couldn’t stop reading! The story is of Tabitha who is reunited with Connor, her first love after 17 years and whilst engrossed in their love for one another we wonder if his feelings for her are genuine... he appears to have had a string of loves in is life including his current very wealthy wife. She is found dead and the story unfolds with us wondering whether she was killed and if so by whom, there seem to be several people with a motive and the opportunity. It’s not clear who we can trust or believe and tension builds as the story progresses. The ending was emotional!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and devoured it from beginning to end.
It’s the second book I’ve read by the author Michele Campbell and I really enjoy her writing style and the way she layers the plot and the characters.

The story is told predominantly from the viewpoint of Tabitha, she knew Connor Ford from her teenage years. Now Connor who married Nina Levitt and became obscenely rich walks into the diner where she is working, eventually Tabitha becomes the second Mrs Ford shortly after Nina dies.
Nina’s death is ruled as suicide but was it? Who was involved? Tabitha ends up in the middle of a tangled web of secrets and accusations with ultimately deadly consequences. Who can she trust?

Loved this, got stuck into it straight away.

Tabitha's one that got away, Connor Ford rocks up one day in the grill she's working in. She's never stopped loving him, trouble is, he's now married to a billionaire.

She gets caught up in his life again with disastrous consequences.

This book, set in The Hamptons had a complete Revenge feel about it (the TV show) - it was glamourous, beautiful locations, interesting characters and I loved the flow of the story of Tabitha's early years.

Perfect end of summer read.

Thanks to netgalley for the opportunity to review this book this is my honest opinion.

Really enjoyed this book from the first page. Really loved getting to know the characters, and really liked Tabby.

There are a few twists and turns which keep you guessing, and I enjoy that in a book.

Will definitely look out for the author again.

Thank you Netgalley and Publisher for ARC. Opinions are my own.

What a fantastic read full of twists!! Absolutely loved the characters in the story, they all had their secrets but it made them who they are! Tabby was a likeable character who’s been through a lot. Didn’t see the twist coming and was shocked to discover who was responsible for the murder!
Another 5 star book from Michelle Campbell! Incredible author

This book had me hooked from the first page. It was a gripping rollercoaster of a thriller that moved at a really good pace and didn’t get bogged down at all. The characters really drew me in and whilst it was not very realistic it made for a really enjoyable escape.
I did guess the killer quite early on in the novel but that didn’t stop me enjoying the dramatic build up to the reveal. The only part I felt was a bit rushed was Tabitha so quickly agreeing to spy for the police. It felt like a chapter had been removed. As it went from her lawyer advising her to say nothing to her arriving back with the tag.
I have not read any other books by this author and that’s why NetGalley is so great. It gives you the opportunity to try new authors and opens up a whole new reading area.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for allowing me to read a preview copy.

Thank you to NetGalley and HQ for this ARC in return for an honest review.
The first chapter seemed so promising, but then it all went downhill.
I couldn’t get into this book at all and couldn’t relate or warm to any of the characters. It was all rather unrealistic, cheesy and clichéd and I ended up skimming through the last third of the book, not really bothered as to what happened in the end.

First thing we read are Nina's suspicions about her life being in danger. The story drew me in straight away.
Nina, Connor and Tabitha are the protagonists in the story and we get a stronger sense of who they are and their connections by exploring their pasts.
The story unfolds slowly to begin with and allows you to appreciate and enjoy the anticipation of what's to come. As the story line builds, so does the pace and the twists come thick and fast. The finale is satisfyingly brilliant!!
After reading Michele Campbell's books before, I know that nothing is ever as it first seems and to always keep an eye on the supporting characters.
I've looked forward to reading The Wife who knew too much and Michele Campbell delivered another delicious, addictive read.

This is my first book by Michele Campbell even though I’ve heard her mentioned in the domestic thriller category before. This was a really fast paced engaging domestic thriller following three main characters; Nina, Connor and Tabitha. I was immediately hooked in from the beginning with the entries in Nina’s journal and there was definitely some surprises throughout the book that I didn’t see coming.

Campbell is a name to watch.
The Wife Who Knew Too Much is a masterful psychological thriller with your edge of seat suspense until it's shocking ending which made me dizzy. Literally saying, this is the best psychological thriller I've read in 2020. Highly recommended.

I absolutely love books by Campbell. They are always absolutely impossible to put down, filled with a mix of characters and plot twists to make you gasp, as well as being completely unpredictable.
I have been pulled into this one from the very start. I have been completely unable to predict where this book was going which has really built up the tension and suspense as I have read this one.
The characters in this book are a mixed bag, there are some who you can't help but like and others that you automatically distrust. This mix makes this a great read.
I have read other books by Campbell, but I definitely feel as though this is the best yet. I have been completely enthralled from the beginning. The author has kept me guessing and there is absolutely no way that I could have predicted what was going to happen.
This is completely unique to anything I've read previously. However, the cover is absolutely gorgeous and attracts your attention. The book is the perfect length with an absolutely unpredictable abs gripping plot.
A definite five star read for me. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was exactly what I expect when I request a book by Michele Campbell . Lots of drama , lavish settings , a strong female lead . I read this in one sitting and couldn't put it down . Tabitha stuck in a dead end job in the town where she grew up is shocked when her first love walks in to the restaurant . He is now unhappily married to a very rich woman , they start up where they left off and begin an affair , with Connor promising he will leave his wife . , not quite as straight forward as that , especially when his wife Nina supposedly commits suicide .
No spoilers but a fantastic read as usual

Thirteen years ago, aged 17, Tabitha fell in love with Connor Ford. However, both their families are against the relationship and so it ends. In the present day, Tabitha is waitressing when Connor enters her life again but there’s just one problem - he’s married to mega rich Nina Levitt and locked into a prenup. Will Tabby allow Connor to sweep her off her feet again? What about the wife? Is it a happy ever after for the initially doomed pair? Well, this is Michele Campbell so you know it’s not going to be that simple!!

I think it must be some kind of record with the speed in which my eyes first popped out of my head in this book. The first few sentences. What? Yes, indeed. Much of the book is absolutely gripping and so hard to put down. Sleep? Sadly the heavy eyelids forced me to put it down. Part of the story is told by Nina and I find those sections have a lot of snap, crackle and pop and you are glued to the narrative. The love Tabby feels for Connor comes across loud and clear but she seems so naive although in fairness that is knocked out of her and she uses her wits to defend herself when events turn against her. At times the tension in the book is so taut the atmosphere can be cut with a knife. You have absolutely no idea who is trustworthy, who is the threat to Nina and Tabby? Can we trust Connor? Is he a good guy or is he a Casanova con man? That is especially puzzling and keeps you invested in learning the truth. I think there must be a character flaw in me as the character I enjoy the most is Lauren who has a really snarky smart mouth who livens up a page!!!!

As Tabitha's account of events progresses there is a palpable air of hysteria which at times is as audible as if she uses a loud hailer. As we reach the conclusion which has more twists than you can count, are certainly creative but are maybe a bit much for me. I’m not sure I completely buy into it but I’ll say one thing for it, it’s extremely entertaining and let’s face it that’s why I like this genre!

Overall, it’s a darn good read, it has several chin droppers, attractive mouth wide open in shock moments which I really like. It’s an easy to read and entertaining psychological thriller from a really good author.

With thanks to NetGalley and HQ for the much appreciated ARC in return for an honest review.
