Read this book so long ago and unfortunately didn’t post my review in time! Review to come, apologies for the delay

I adored this book! These two characters were the absolute cutest. I loved their chemistry and tension and of course, the steaminess. I loved the commentary on the porn industry and positive sex message too. I think Josh & Clara were great main characters and honestly didn't expect to like this book as much as I did.

A really fun, sexy read. Combining some of my favourite tropes this was one I devoured. I loved it and frequently caught myself laughing out loud.

Romances are not usually books I tend to pick up, I always find them a bit samey. However, the concept of this book seemed slightly different to usual so thought I would give it a try.

There was nothing that I didn't enjoy in the book, it was very average for me, but I think this is due to the genre not being my cup of tea. I think anyone who usually enjoys romances would definitely enjoy this.

Clara has a new roommate, Josh, and Josh is a porn star... queue one of the steamiest books you will ever read.

Strangers thrown together in a house share, what will happen (these are among my favourite types of romance books) where people are seemingly living together innocently until they're not! There is always so much suspense and it's drawn out and it drives you a little crazy!

Read this book. You will not be disappointed!

I tried to read this book about 5 times during my slump. I bought an ebook copy and a signed physical copy and worried I'd made a grave error buying this debut. Everyone raved about it and I loved it was so sex positive but worried I might be the black sheep who didn't adore this. Thank god I discovered that wasn’t the case and mood reading and a reading slump were very much to blame for me not being able to get into the mindset for reading this.

I began reading this after finishing Act Your Age, Eve Brown. I knew I needed something good to avoid a post amazing book slump. I'd put off reading that book for fear of not enjoying it as I'd hyped that up in my head (I should know Talia Hibbert can do no wrong) so I figured why not try reading another hyped book again? I was finally in the mood for romance and I certainly don't have a shortage of choices in my Kindle. Thank god this worked this time around.

I worried this book wouldn't work for me. Porn star male MC? It could go either way. I worried he'd be cocky and so alpha male. The last romance I read involving anything to do with porn was Lingus by Mariana Zapata and it was alright but it didn't blow me away. This definitely blew me away.

The reason this worked is because it was so sex positive. Both Josh's attitude to female pleasure (and his own) but also in the new opportunity he pursues with Clara and Naomi to help people find their own sexual pleasure. If this book hadn't focused on sexual pleasure for all and focused on the fact that everyone should be able to find their pleasure in sexual situations then this might not have worked so well. It also really focused on communication between partners. I mean Clara and Josh might not have communicated well when it came to the emotional side of things but when it came to sex that definitely wasn't an issue. They talked through what they did and I loved that when everything started it focused on Clara and Josh never asked for anything from her. Although that did cause her some confusion about his intentions. But I guess if they'd have spoken more the book wouldn't have been so long.

I really liked Claras journey. She had spent her time living for everyone else so moving to LA was her first daring thing but even that she did for someone else (stupid Everett). But it did finally lead to her figuring out what she wanted. I loved seeing her grow from being this controlling person who always had a list (laminated obviously) to someone who still had a list but was actually enjoying her life as well. She needed Josh as the foil to her more uptight ways. They were opposites. He was so laid back and confident and she was regimented and uncertain. She'd never had to stand on her own 2 feet and so didn't have the confidence in her abilities and her choices. She'd always lived to someone's else's expectations. It was nice seeing her confidence grow as she made her own choices. She would never change from being organised and making lists but I don't think anyone would want her to stop.

I just really loved it. I worried I wouldn't like Josh, especially when it came to the last act breakup before the grand reconciliation. He was harsh, he's so good at intimacy as he is good at reading people. This meant he also knew the pressure points to cause greatest damage to Clara. She'd hurt him and she was in no way right, but I didn’t like that behaviour from Josh. I was glad to see he regretted it almost immediately.

A book that has the sweetest romance and will leave you hot under the collar. I loved every page and would love to read more from the author.

Please note that this book is not for me - I have read the book, However I had to DNF and because i do not like to give negative reviews I will not review this book fully - there is no specific reason for not liking this book. I found it a struggle to read and did not enjoy trying to force myself to read this book.

Apologies for any inconvenience caused and thank you for the opportunity to read this book

Steamy, and cute but to be honest it didn’t move mountains.
But, if you’re looking for a contemporary romance to take you away from everything for a day, this will definitely do the trick!

I don't know what I expected from this book, but this wasn't it. There are two main characters, and we hear from each of them in this one. We have Clara, the shy girl with some very well-off and influential parents, and Josh, her new roommate - the pornstar. There were some typical tropes (uptight, 'innocent' type meets 'bad boy') and while it did take me a while to warm to the characters, I did enjoy the fact that those tropes were not the entire depths of their personality. They developed wonderfully and brought out some great new parts of each other. They were definitely more interesting when they interacted than when they were alone.

This book really dove into the Porn Industry and had conversations about exploitation and the mistreatment of performers, which I thought was really interesting and added another layer to the story, so it didn't feel like such a vapid romance.

Overall it was an enjoyable romance, not mind-blowing or anything I will remember years from now, but something I did have fun reading it.

3.5 stars.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange of an honest review.

An easy but forgettable read. Clara and Josh are cute and there are some very steamy moments but the cheesy dialogue was too distracting.

I am so glad that I was given the opportunity to read this book! It warmed my heart, left me smiling for hours on end, and made me feel especially single whilst reading it. All the features of a great romance novel if you ask me! Could not ask for more!!

I absolutely adored the main characters' banter and thought that they had so much chemistry! I really loved that they were able to communicate and get along with one another so well — and honestly they're the true OTP. I can't wait to read the second book in the series "The Intimacy Project", so we can get some more scenes from them!

There was only one character that I took a slight disliking to, and that was Clara's childhood sweetheart. Sure, he's the reason that our main characters were able to meet (I appreciate that), but I don't agree with how he strung Clara along for all these years! If you know that someone is interested in you, and you know you're not going to reciprocate those feelings then you should really just come out and say it! His actions peeved me off a little, but I'm willing to give him the chance to redeem himself in the second book.. The bar has been set pretty high now hmp

I thought it was interesting that the book discussed the porn industry and the actors within it, because I feel like that isn't something we see discussed a lot in books. It brought an important discussion to the table and helped to spread a different perspective!
I will say though, that I wasn't prepared for the steaminess in this book, so I'm putting a warning at the end of this review. Not for the faint hearted — 🔥🔥🔥🔥

This title was reviewed as part of my January Reading Wrap Up https://youtu.be/5uG9gwnCC1M

I enjoyed this book so much! It had the perfect amount of steamy scenes and the characters were really compelling. I also found the book's discussion of the sex industry to be really interesting.

A friend of mine told me this was steamy but I don't think I was prepared for just how much so. If you don't enjoy sexual content in books, this won't be for you. If you do enjoy it, it's a party.

I loved as well how this book dealt with issues such as confidence issues and sex worker's rights. It's a topic that isn't raised in books often, but definitely a discussion we need to have.

I didn't love the third act break up here, but the rest of the book was phenomenal.

Well this book was just brilliant!
I loved the characters and their unique personalities. The interaction between the two main characters was wonderful, and the author portrayed the chemistry between them brilliantly.
A steamy, fun, enjoyable read. The perfect form of escapism.

I received a copy of the book from Netgalley to review. Thank you for the opportunity.
I'll admit when I first started this book, I wasn't that interested and thought the MC was way too fluffy and flighty. But I'm delighted to be proved wrong.
This book was fantastic! It has great writing with rapid quips and a unique sense of romance. I liked that the author went beyond the normal boundaries of romance in exploring porn and sex work. The romance is believable yet magical at the same time. I feel all readers will fall in love with Clara and Josh on reading this. There is many twists and turns as well as many hidden depths in this story.
An all round great read. I can't wait for more from Rosie Danan.

I really wanted to love this story and the plot line was just so intriguing, however, I put down as I was struggling with the writing and never picked it back up. I will however, be giving it three stars because I do believe that this a book many are going to love.

Not my usual cup of tea and a book that I really struggled with. I found it unrealistic and the story just didn't grip me.

I adore the writing style, plot and characters. A great book!

I'd heard good things about this and in true Meggan style, I didn't actually know what it was about other than it was a romance but I am blown away by how much I loved it! I loved the writing style and how well paced the story was, a lot of romances can have a tendency to be so fast paved I can barely keep up, but Rosie Danan absolutely nailed it with this one. I adored Clara and Josh so much. Their entire relationship was filled with so much fun, excitement and intrigue that I couldn't help but fall in love with them myself. Natalie was also such a great side character and we love her no nonsense attitude and her badass nature! The story itself was so interesting and the look into the porn industry isn't something I've read about before, but I loved how it turned what some portrsy as a taboo subject, into something to be celebrated and gave such good insight into the world of the creators. I also loved how it showed the good and the bad of the industry, and exposed the awful conditions some sex workers deal with. The dedication for Clara & Josh to set up Shameless, and promote empowering women was just everything. It was just so interesting and I loved everything about it from start to finish!
