I picked this book up as I wanted a book I could read to my son to help him understand why its time to let his pacifier go. Its a wonderful way to broach a subject that is in essence a very conceptual idea. The need to stop, isnt something a child can process easily especially as it offers comfort and a sense of security. I found the tips and advice at the end of the book from an expert really helpful. This is a great starting point to all parents who want to find a way of starting the conversation with their child in a way that is easily accessable to the child. Would recommend.

Working in a daycare with children ranging from 6 months to 12 years old, we attempt to promote active thinking. We do this by decreasing our allotted television time and encouraging reading and other educational activities.

This is a sweet poem to encourage children to give up using a pacifier.

I loved the illustrations - they really helped to bring out that sense of magic running through the book.

The acknowledgement that it might be difficult and ways around it was also lovely to see.

I have no doubt that the final few pages aimed at parents will be invaluable to many as it's filled with common sense, balanced advice.

However, I'm not sure how the title would translate in the UK as we tend to call them dummies rather than pacifiers.

This book is like a poem for the lil kids, helping them thru the journey of growing up and having to let go of the pacifier: well colored, nice illustrations. The sentences rhyme and are cute.
You will even find some advices, tricks and more from some experts. The fairy is cute and kids will like her! Nice way to support the processus of removing the pacifier to your kids.
