the book is visually very pleasing and very engaging.

I've been a fan of taking quizzes and tests since long time ago, so I had to read this book even when I have already taken some tests before lol.
Each test consists of a 12-question quiz with a score, so it doesn't take much time(for the actual tests I had to answer 60 questions!). I learned a lot by doing the tests, I was surprised by most of them and overall they were accurate.

Thank you NetGalley for an eARC. I thought this book was a ton of fun. It would be perfect for a gift or as a coffee table book. It’s very well designed! On top of it being fun, it’s also very educational. Before each personality test is some background information on test types, creators of the tests and how companies might be using them.

I wasn't a big fan of this. I do the same questions online, and you can't get to them until you're finishing it.
Whereas in the book, you can flip to the answers.
The questions were good tho, to challenge your mind. That's IF you don't cheat

This book was SO fun! I love personality tests and it brought me back to my teen magazine days. The graphics and pages were well laid out and I really enjoyed doing each and every test in the book. Highly recommend.

The Book of Personality Tests is a super fun and fast way to help you gain self-awareness. The author, Haulwen Nicholas, gives you 25 quizzes so you can learn more about your strengths and areas for improvement. You'll see the tests that are the most often talked about (i.e., Enneagram, Myers-Briggs, The Birkman Method, The Four Tendencies, Sparketype and The Five Love Languages) to the more obscure ones like how narcissistic you are. Learn what type of astronaut you’d be and what kind of a money-manager you are… all in one little book. This is a great book for gift givers. My only beef is about the book’s graphic design (I’m so not a fan), but the content is just fine!

I really did like this book and all it had to offer. Really enjoyed learning beyond the Myers-brig tests and will definitely be using in my real life! Thank you NetGalley for the chance to review this unique book!

This is such a fun book to read! I really enjoyed doing the personality tests in the book. There is quite a variety of them, which I liked. It's great to pass time.

This was a really fun book! I love taking personality tests and this book had such a nice variety of them. Quite a lot of them were well known tests which provided a lot of insight but also a few random fun ones which I enjoyed.

Thank you to Haulwen Nicholas, Quarto Publishing Group and and NetGalley for a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Thank you NetGalley for allowing me to experience this book. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know myself better through this book. This is a fun way to pass time or even get to know your friends. There are plenty of different personality tests to take part in. The various tests consist of introvert vs extrovert, leader vs follower, etc. The tests are short about 12 questions each, which took me about 10-15 minutes to complete and read my results. It is very eye opening to see my result and how they can relate to my everyday life. I also look forward to retaking the tests to see if I’ve changed as time passes.

Were you, by chance, a tween that was obsessed with the Seventeen magazine quizzes? And Cosmo quizzes in high school? Then you’re going to love The Book of Personality Tests. It’s just like those, but intelligent, and for adults. I already knew my MBTI type and that I was an introvert, but I learned things like what kind of astronaut I’d be (and what that says about my interests and strengths), my personality color (Sky Blue, one of my actual favorite colors), my communication style, and many other things.

Each quiz gives a brief background about where it came from, what it measures, and what you can do with the results/what insights it will give you about yourself. I spent an entire Saturday night in bed with this book and a notebook, dutifully recording my answers and scoring each quiz. It was a lot of fun.

We all gotta make our own fun in the times of COVID, and if you’re looking for something fun to do on your couch, definitely give this book a go. It provides a lot of insight while being fun and sparking a tad bit of nostalgia. It’s out now, so check it out via your local bookstore or library.

I'm really into psychology and love personality tests because they are tests that can change a lot over time. I enjoyed that not only did this book have a bunch of different tests but I liked the fact that before each test there is information about the test it was based on. I took almost all of them and learned quite a bit about myself and I think personality tests are a good way to get to know yourself in any given moment a bit better especially since as we grow things can change so its very authentic to that specific moment in time.

The Book of Personality Tests by Haulwen Nicholas is a useful tool that is also quite fun!

I have always liked personality tests and quizzes, so this book was right up my alleyway. I really enjoyed the unique set of tests presented. There's all sorts of different ones: stress, spirit animal, self aware, psychopath, etc. I think it's a great collection that can provide some insights but also be done just for fun.

Four out of five stars.

Thank you to NetGalley and Quarto Publishing for providing me a free copy of this book in exchange of an honest review.

There's a lot of tests here, and it makes the book a fun thing to page through. I found the tests to get repetitive with time (the same 12 questions and coded answers made me weary/wary), but I felt like I still got a lot out of this. Not every test has much insight - I feel there could have been more here in the way of explaining results, or making results less lumped-into-different-categories feeling. Overall, enjoyable and a fun way to learn a little about yourself or others.

This book was fun and a way to take you away for a bit. I learned some interesting things about myself. I thought this was a well put together book. Thanks to Netgalley, the author and the publisher for the arc of this book in return for my review. Receiving the book in this manner had no bearing on this review.

I am someone who loves doing personality tests and quizzes, from serious ones to silly ‘what kind of bread are you’ tests so as soon as I saw this book I knew it would be right up my street!

I loved the range of different tests included, it had everything from finding out your spirit animal to learning what your core archetype is. I completed every test in the book, then tested family and friends too. My results didn’t really surprise me but they did confirm all the things I thought I knew about myself.

It was well set out, easy to follow and full of great information. I loved the bright colours and designs too.

So if personality tests are your thing or you’d like to find out more about yourself, how you think, how you act/react and a whole host of different things, I would highly recommend!

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an arc in exchange for an honest review

4 stars.

I gotta admit, I have a vulnerability to these kinds of things. I love wasting so much time doing these little tests so I can honestly say that I really enjoyed this book. The tests were all interesting and it was a really good collection of different ones. Some I'd known of but there were also a few I had not done before.

Then only thing I didn't quite like was the use of symbols as the score system for some of them. But that's probably just me. I prefered the number system. Either way, this was great fun and I definitely recommend.

I've always been a fan of taking quizzes (all the way back to my old teen magazine days!), so this book was immediately appealing to me. I'm also really interested in the enneagram and Myers-Briggs tests (which are also included in this book). The structure of this book was really interesting - it includes a little bit of the history of each test at the beginning of each chapter and then each test consists of a 12-question quiz that comes with a score. Once you have your score, there's a little write-up about each result so you can find out a little bit more about yourself. The most unique part is that the quizzes are not actually the test you would take for the enneagram, Myers-Briggs, etc. (since these are a lot longer to complete). This means that the quizzes are more fun and lighthearted than how clinical those actual tests can feel.

The subjects of the quizzes range from anything from "Are You a Narcissist?" to "What Workout Type Are You?" and everything in between. For the most part, I found my results to be quite accurate (especially quizzes like "What's Your Love Language?" and "What Type of Rule Breaker Are You?"). However, there were a couple of quizzes that felt wildly inaccurate - not sure if that was user error or not but it felt a tad frustrating.

Overall, anyone who wants to increase their self-awareness should check out this book and participate in the quizzes. Even if you don't discover any brand new truths about yourself, it's a fun way to pass the time anyway.
