This series definitely isn't for the faint-hearted. If you're a fan of gore related horror, I think you'd really enjoy Hell's Paradise. This series makes me think of a cross between Blood Lad and Junji Ito. It's the type of story that makes me worried to go to the bathroom alone at night; the creepy factor definitely comes across. I'm not sure if I'm a fan of this "in between" type of story. I think I'd rather have something more comedic or something pure horror.

The fifth volume of Hell's Paradise will leave readers with some questions and more nightmares!

Gabimaru's battle with Tensen left his Tao depleted and his memories wiped. As he tries to understand the island, his allies, and the secrets of the elixir of life, he must also fool the others into believing he is unchanged. This volume takes reads through challenging losses and shocking reveals. The illustrations are less gory in this volume but capture the action and emotion well.
