Thank you to the publisher for the opportunity to read a free advance copy of this book. Unfortunately I hadn't found time during the year to read this book, and so I will be picking up a paid copy in 2021 to support the author instead as an apology.

This was a comprehensive detailed look at the fascinating relationship between these two great leaders which should restore Eden's reputation, and give people a good idea of just how thoughtful, intelligent and perceptive he really was. He often had a calming effect on Churchill's impetuousness and he was often better at foreseeing the future and reading people. This book also deals with Churchill and Eden's relationships with the other war leaders, providing lots of anecdotes.

It is a must-read for anyone interested in modern British history.

I received this free ebook from NetGalley in return for an honest review.

A very interesting read and one of the most well-written historical books on the subject. In attempting to tell the story of these two great leaders, the author masterfully weaves together the most important pieces and keeps movement ongoing. Readers are left with real history and facts without being overwhelmed with the magnanimous amount of information that is available on both Churchill and Eden. Great book.

This is a relationship I knew little to nothing about. It was incredibly informative and I think this will definitively do well in the historical circles, especially those like me who enjoy Churchill books.
