A collection of your favorite authors. Romance, suspense, intrigue in 1 book what more can you ask for! Looking for a bit of everything, this is your book! I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own |
THE ROOKIE by Kimberly Kincaid Tara is the assistant DA and is about to try a guy for multiple crimes. Xander, up until two years ago, was doing bad things but now is a cop. When Tara’s witness is beaten up, they put her in protective custody until time for her to testify. Tara just has to convince Xander that he’s a good guy and to give them a chance. And keep her witness safe . Great short story with action and sex. Can’t wait for the next book. Both had rough pasts but to move on in their life, they must leave it in the past. * Voluntarily read and reviewed this for NetGalley * NIGHT OWL by Rachel Grant Jenna works in a roadhouse in a little town in Alaska. She only wants three things.. to stay in Tamarack, get Brad Fraser to notice her, and for Ted Godfrey to disappear. Brad works for Raptor and is leader of the Falcon team. He only wants three things too...to hurry up and get out Tamarack, see if the chemistry between him and Jenna is as hot as he thinks it would be, and get rid of Ted Godfrey. Jenna is closing the bar when Brad asks for a ride home. He takes her to see a family of owls and it turns hot real fast. Brad tells Jenna they can only have tonight because he's leaving as soon as he can. But one taste isn't enough and Brad will have to choose between Jenna and a new job. * Voluntarily read and reviewed this for NetGalley * |
This was a great set of stories. Lots of intrigue and variety. Definitely a good book to read when you have some spare time. |
Ohh, so good. In this book you'll get to enjoy all of these wonderful authors' stories and their great characters. Some authors I have read before but some are new. I enjoyed every page and the differences with each one. So worth it. I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review. |
I really enjoyed this anthology and there were plenty of books to read! I thought that all of the storylines were good, they all had the same theme and were quick reads with some really well developed characters with great personalities and strengths. Overall the anthology had good detail, action and romance! It is 4 stars from me for this one - highly recommended! |
ARC received for review 2.85 stars These are all parts of series. Some were good, some were okay, and some were meh. I've only read the all books in one of the series. The Rookie - 2.5 stars It was okay. I liked their chemistry. Night Owl - 2.5 stars There were lots of holes, and the bad guy part was left open. Desire in DC - 3.5 stars This is a prequel to the book Saved By A SEAL. It is set in the 80's. It was fun seeing the world that I grew up in in a book. I loved the epilogue with a hint of who their daughter will wind up with. Levi - 3 stars Levi helps Claire who's on the run. There's lots of chemistry plus intrigue and action. He's got a bunch of great new co-workers who've already had books in guessing. The Guardian - 3.5 stars (only one where I've read the other books) I'm still confused about where this book/series fits into the Titan world. This one feels like it's in the middle. Loved the drama, action and chemistry between Roxana and Jason. Didn't really care for any of his co-workers. He needs to ask Jared for a job. Scout - 3 stars (I've read the first book, but didn't remember it) Again he has great co-workers with books. Wyatt and Nadine were great. I loved their interaction and all the drama and adventure to get the box to safety. Now I'm really curious Dorian and Ray and what they are hiding from. Lawson and Jill - 2 stars The bad guy part could have been better done. It just lacked something in that area. Jill and Lawson were great, but their hooking up was meh. |
This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy. What a great collection of books from a wonderful cast of my favorite authors!! Each story has a bit of drama, lots of danger, and a whole bunch of romance. I stayed up wait to late into the night to finish this and it was well worth it! I don't know if this is true for all of the stories in this book but the one that I did check was not available by the author separately from this anthology so I was glad to have a chance to read this as the series is great! Now it is time to catch up on my sleep! |
I tend to like anthologies, why? because you get to read about different topics and find a new author. There are a couple that I was not familiar but do this I found them and now can add them to my list, and get reacquainted with a couple of them. Grab a copy and find yourself someone new. Enjoy! |

I read 4 fabulous stories in this anthology. Cristin Harber, Maryann Jordan, Caitlyn O’Leary, and Cat Johnson wrote excellent romantic suspense stories. They could be read alone, but it helps if you know their series. They all have hot alpha male protectors, strong women, and some danger. Then there is a happily ever after I highly recommend this anthology. |
THE ROOKIE by Kimberly Kincaid 4.5 Stars The story features Xander and Tara. All he wants is to leave his past behind him, be a great cop and help people. Tara was the A.D.A. a few years ago, at a time he was up to no good and tried to prosecute him. Now, he’s a cop and the chemistry is sizzling HOT between them as they work closely on the same case. NIGHT OWL by Rachel Grant. 4.5 Stars Jenna wants Brad...BAD! Brad wants her too but he doesn’t want to hurt her when he leaves town. They've had this attraction for 3 years and chemistry is OFF-THE-CHARTS! There’s also some things going on at Raptor that I would definitely love to find out more about. This is a series I must read! DESIRE IN D.C. by Cat Johnson 4 Stars This is a Hot SEALs origin story featuring Peter and Marty. They were political opposites but it’s true that opposites attract. This is another book that makes me want to read the entire series. LEVI by Maryann Jordan 4.5 Stars This is a Lighthouse Security Investigations novella and it features Levi and Claire. He rescued a damsel in distress but he got so much more than he was expecting. Levi finds out exactly how awesome it will be to work for a family type of company like LSI. Great story line and fantastic characters! THE GUARDIAN by Cristin Harber 4 Stars This is book 4 in The Aces series and it features Jason and Roxana. She thought he was an accountant and he is but he’s also so much more. That will be a problem for her if she finds out because she’s vowed to NEVER want a man with a dangerous occupation. SCOUT by Janie Crouch 5 Stars This is a Linear Tactical novella and it features Wyatt/Scout and Nadine. She’s been through a lot! Wyatt has been covertly keeping an eye on her and at the same time, they call and email each other often. While on a solo mission, Wyatt needs her help and trouble spirals. This is another fantastic story in an amazing series! LAWSON AND JILL by Caitlyn O’Leary 4.5 Stars This is a novella and book one in the Night Storm Legacy series and it features Lawson and Jill. This is a beautiful story of two people who have each lost someone important and are learning to live again. If things aren’t hard enough, Jill is kidnapped by a madman. I am definitely interested in learning more about Law and his friends. BREAKING AWAY by Elle James 5 Stars This is a Delta Force Strong novella and it features Mac and Kylie. Who knew that after all these years that they would meet again in Afghanistan and under such treacherous circumstances. If you like strong heroes and heroines then this is the book for you! This is an action packed, second chance romance, that is FULL of sexy, Delta Force alpha-men. |
I loved this anthology! It included some of my favorite romantic suspense authors and I couldn't put it down! If you are a romantic suspense fan, pick this up ASAP. |
If you are looking for a book that will be able to keep your attention, intoxicate you with sweet love, and at the same time bring a certain dose of drama and suspense, then Danger and Desire - an anthology of 8 wonderful novels by well-known authors will certainly not disappoint. Not a book, you will get a whole collection of them. The Rookie by Kimberly Kincaid is a great love story where Xander Matthews, a handsome and intense man, but with little problems with self-confidence will win your heart as he tries to reach his will happily ever after with The Assistant District Attorney Tara Kingston. Passion, love, drama, intrigue ... are mixed in perfect proportions to create a great read. As you read Rachel Grant's Night Owl you will meet the beautiful Jenna O'Donnell, waitress and free lance photographer in the wilds of Alaska that finally manages to catch the eye of special ops trainer Brad Fraser after years of desiring him. A story that will touch your heart and guarantee you several hours of enjoyable reading. Desire in DC, a story that will take you to the past. The taste of the seventies is great to get away from everyday life. The story of Peter Greenwood and Martha "Marty" Vanderbilt will simply make you laugh. He, the hard working young lawyer, she, quite the opposite of him. They together, a fantastic couple, whose story you just cannot but enjoy. Levi - Lighthouse Security Investigations by Maryann Jordan - a story that simply has a bit of a down-to-earth touch. There is no fatal love that happens at first sight Levi Armory encounters Claire Loman on the road and here begins their amazing journey to a common goal – their happily ever after. The Guardian by Cristin Harber - A fast-paced story in which the action moves so fast that you just can not get bored. Sexy agent, Jason Green, falls in love with a former client, Roxanna Carter. It contains moments that are a bit unreal, but at the same time interesting enough to keep your attention. Scout by Janie Crouch - How to escape from the past? It is the story of Nadine Macfarlane, who escapes from her past and encounters Wyatt Highfield, a seemingly unknown man who knows much more about her than she thinks. Action, drama, love are intertwined in several chapters of this interesting story. Read it carefully so you can follow it. Lawson & Jill by Caitlyn O'Leary is all about love and loss. How to deal with the loss of a loved one? Can anyone heal that wound? Yes, that's the story of Lawson Thorne and Jill Keiler, two characters in the same pain who find something in common. Great descriptions and love scenes, enough intrigue to keep your attention until the very end. The perfectly arranged stories in this great anthology are a great choice for all those romance-book readers who would like to relax after a busy day and enjoy stories that is easy to read, and does not burden you too much. |

What a wonderful Anthology this was. I enjoyed each and every book. I really enjoyed Lawson and Jill by Caitlyn O'Leary. I loved that this was two broken individuals that were going to a place to better themselves and through this, they meet. I loved that we go to see the natural progression of these two figuring each other out and how they tick. Nothing seemed rushed which I appreciated. I loved that when the time came, she knew that she could count on Law when she needed him the most. |
Everyone favorite romantic suspense author comes together with novella and full length novels that will update readers with secondary characters that readers wanted to know more about. Every single story is completely different showcasing the authors talents from mystery, romance and suspense that will have readers looking up more written by these amazing authors. Thank you netgalley for a copy Danger and Desire: A Romantic Suspense Anthology |
An excellent anthology of stories. Each one was written by some of the best romantic suspense authors out there. Good plots and awesome characters. |
I loved this! Not only do you have an excellent list of author's that have stories in this book but most of them are ones that I already read those series anyway! Most of these books are related to these author's individual series, so if you are a fan you are going to definitely want to read them! However, even though they are a part of those series-you can still read them as a standalone and still understand everything that happens! That is what I did with the few author's that I hadn't read before. This is a great way to not only introduce you to a new to you author but it also gives you something excellent to read by a favorite! |
Thank you to NetGalley for allowing me to read this book I wanted something more mature and sexy that the books I usually read from my library and I chose this one for the title. The 8 stories are ok but I didn´t find there was too much suspense in any of them. I guessed/knew that at the end of each one the characters will be all living a happy life and the bad ones always ended up dead or in prison... It was an ok book for me but it wasn´t what I was expecting. |
A great box set with a bevy of brilliant authors. I enjoyed Danger and Desire immensely, the engaging stories, strong women and alpha men who protect those they love. I recommend everyone pick up their copy you will fall in love with these authors and their stories. |

Great addition to several ongoing series for several of these authors. Some authors were new to me and I will have to check them out further. I especially enjoyed Janie Couch and Cristin Harber here. |
The Guardian by Cristin Harber Omgoodness, give me spicy sweetness, escape and evade scenes, secrets and truths, dimple-showing laughter, a swoony protective alpha, a sweet and strong and best friend-like leading lady - all that adds up to The Guardian. Loved every moment of this story. I'm so thrilled Cristin Harber took advantage of the opportunity to give us Jason and Roxane's story because it was worth it! I have to admit, I’ve already re-read this story and have the rest of the Aces series queued up for a reread as well. While you can read it as a stand alone, you'll want to read The Survivor, as that'll give you another glimpse into their story. I think you may appreciate some of the details of this story better with that basis. Besides, the Aces series is amazing and well worth the time! Fans of the Titan series will also love this installment, what with some interesting characters showing up and points-of-view being further developed. It sure made me gasp and wanna reread some Titan books. I love coming back to the Titan world with each new piece we're given. The Guardian adds another fun layer of glittery sprinkles to the richness of the Titan cake universe. Lawson and Jill by Caitlyn O’Leary Swoony perfectly sweet! I simply adored this story! Lawson and Jill were perfect together and exactly what the other needed. They both had crushing hurts to sort through and gave each other a reason to truly live again. Lawson was the best kind of bossy alpha, not too much, but just enough, and definitely all protective growly in a good way. Jill was adorable in her kind, sweet, compassion and just how real she was. Love getting to experience another piece of a Caitlyn O'Leary world. They always satisfy me and keep me coming back for more. This is another story I’ve already reread because I didn’t want to leave it quite yet. Night Owl by Rachel Grant I’ve had my eye on Rachel Grant’s Evidence series for a while now, and I finally took the opportunity to try out one of her stories now. I enjoyed how she told Jenna and Brad’s story and made me want to go back and discover more of her stories. I loved how real and open and fun Jenna was, knowing what she wanted, and accepting what she was given. I loved how Brad romanced Jenna as much as he fought against himself about it, but couldn’t deny it. I have a feeling once I dive into more of these stories, I’ll appreciate Brad and Jenna all the more. Levi by Maryann Jordan I’ve read and enjoyed a couple of Maryann Jordan’s Lighthouse Security stories and was looking forward to seeing what we’d get with Levi and Claire’s story. Little bit of secrets, little bit of drama, lot of bit of rescue-the-girl, and the same family-got-your-back feel of the LSI team all adds up to an enjoyable little escape. Scout by Janie Crouch Talk about packing a punch! I've had a few book friends recommend Janie Crouch stories to me, and I finally took the chance with Scout and now I'm all about diving fully into this series! So much was packed in that I forgot I was reading a novella and totally got lost in the story. All the feels and I loved it all! I agree with Wyatt, Nadine was simply amazing and so strong and gave Wyatt exactly what he needed. Wyatt was pretty amazing in his own way, protective, caring, and all about Nadine. I feel like I just discovered a new author that’ll end up on my favorite-go-to list with the way the words enclosed the Linear Tactical world around me -- plus, I kinda wanna find that kind of thing for real! Lol The Rookie by Kimberly Kincaid This is another new to me author that has come highly recommended and I was glad to try out this story (I actually found out that I’ve read one of her books long long ago, but that was it, so it’s like a re-introduction). I adored the idea behind the story and how (especially in the society/atmosphere we live in today) the hero was a cop (a true hero, imo) and it showcased how much they do and risk to protect us, to stand between us and the evil that’s out there. I loved the way the story flowed and found myself both giggling out loud at times and tensing up at the unknown. The heat between Xander and Tara steamed up the pages and added just the perfect bit of spice and expectation. This is a great beginning setup for a new series. Desire in DC by Cat Johnson It was fun getting to go back and read about Missy's parents getting together and seeing the reminder that our parents weren't always parents. What a fun (and for a few moments heart pounding) how I met your mother story. Breaking Away by Elle James Loved this story! Toss me in the middle of some action and keep it heart-pounding all the way through! I enjoyed how with this 2nd chance love story, they learned what was important and decided to make things work and allow the other to keep their current dreams alive, and embrace what the future holds. Fun twists and intense moments deliver a terrific story that I'm glad I took a chance on. |
