The Betrayal is an intense ,fast paced read. Olivia Sinclair’s birthday present is a shocking video of her husband having an affair. Olivia’s seeming perfect life spirals out of control after she’s accused of murdering her husbands mistress. Did her husband set her up. Did she do it. As Olivia races to prove her innocence you’ll race through to see who did it. Thanks to net galley for the ARC and to Terry Lynn Thomas

This is a decent drama / thriller about a middle aged woman who discovers that her husband has been unfaithful. Then she finds herself accused of the murder of his mistress.

The characters are slightly one dimensional and it’s a formulaic plot, but, overall an easy OK read.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for the opportunity to preview.

Olivia has the perfect life until her world crashes around her in just a few weeks. Someone is trying to frame her for murder. Is it her sleazebag unfaithful husband? The evidence is mounting and she's running out of time. I was sucked into the story from the first sentence. There were so many different angles to the mystery and it flowed well. Halfway through I figured out who was behind all of it. I liked Brian and Sharon the best in the book. I wish Richard had suffered more for his transgressions. I'm eager to read more in this series and see what else the author has up her sleeve for the main characters.

This book has a claustrophobic feeling that gets tighter and tighter with every page. I would call it a suspense thriller with a little mystery. I highly enjoyed it and would recommend it

An intriguing mystery about two married attorneys that find themselves at the center of events linking infidelity, murder, betrayal and heartbreak. Not quite sure what the next twist may be, the reader is left guessing and wanting more.

Olivia Sinclair is a prominent lawyer enjoying her life with her husband, Richard, another well-known lawyer. In an instant, Olivia's perfect life is turned upside down by an anonymous video of her husband caught in the act of an affair. Soon the mistress is found murdered and Olivia finds herself as the prime suspect. Desperate to prove her innocence, she spends her time frantically trying to piece together evidence of the true killer. Throw in another murder, a controlling son-in-law and feelings of a budding romance and you have the makings of a good mystery.

Thank you NetGalley and Terry Lynn Thomas for the chance to read this intriguing mystery!

Thank you HQ Digital and NetGalley for an early copy of The Betrayal. I thought this was a psychological but it turned out to be a murder thriller book. It was a good read, a bit unrealistic but kept me wanting to know what happened. I did figure it out early in the book but glad I kept reading because it was a good read for a Sunday afternoon,

I could not put this book down! This book is one of the best I’ve read in a long time. There was suspense and drama mixed with a little love and crazy. The author really did an amazing job and I can not wait to read more of her work.

The Betrayal is a book that will rock you to your core. This is one of the greatest “whodunnit” books out there that had me experiencing every emotion possible. I was angry, sad, happy, and then actually felt vindicated. Olivia Sinclair is a great attorney who is married and seems to have a great life. That is until she receives a video of her husband having an affair With another woman. She throws him out but then finds herself in jail for murdering the other woman. A crime she did not do. Olivia questions whether her husband would have set her up. I never saw the ending coming and was totally enthralled from page one. The writer has an ability of developing characters and allowing the reader to feel as though they are a part of the book. This is a great psychological thriller that keeps the twists coming.

Thank you to netgalley as well as the author/publisher for allowing me to read this book in exchange for my honest review.

An ok read.
Olivia Sinclair is living happily with her husband, Richard. She has a married daughter Danny with David whom she doesn't like much.
One day she saw a video of her husband with another woman, Sandy and then she's arrested of her murder.
Who killed Sandy?
Read this book to know more.
I didn't like this book very much. It was just ok for me. It was interesting in the starting but then it became boring but other readers can give it a try.
I didn't feel connected with its characters.
Narration of the story is ok.
Thanks to NetGalley and HQ for giving me an advanced copy of this psychological thriller.

Was hard to keep my attention. I didn't get through the whole book. I out it down, then a week later tried to start with a fresh mind and still didn't capture me.

This book sounded right up my alley. Murder mystery, police procedural, cold case and a cheating husband to boot. The sad thing is it didn't live up to its potential. I figured out the murderer on page 52...that bummed me out.

The writing was okay and kept me turning pages and it is a quick read at 241 pages but when you guess the culprit at 22% in it just isn't worth your time.

An enthralling read that had me flicking through the pages. A character we can empathise with, another that we love to hate and plenty of suspects to keep my mind busy trying to work out who had set our main character up. A great read!

3.5 stars! This was a fast paced fun read. I really liked the guessing of the murderer early on. I kind of guessed who it was though but still fun to see how it all unfolds.
This story sucked you in right from the beginning and the characters were great. I liked the fact that there went a lot of characters to keep up with. Thanks NetGalley for this read!

Thank you Netgalley for the digital copy of "The Betrayal" a crime fiction. This is my first book by author, Terry Lynn Thomas and I'm looking forward to reading more of her work.

I was hooked from the very first chapter until the last page of the book. Definitely my kind of read. I enjoyed the story with all it's twists and turns, I am looking forward to a followup book in the future.

Really enjoyed this book.
I was hooked from the very first chapter which is exactly the kind of book I like - no slow burners for me!
I liked Olivia and was right behind her when she discovered her husband Richard is a cheat.
All too often the heroine allows herself to be talked round in novels but Olivia takes an immediate stand against him.
Then, Richards mistress is found dead and all of the evidence strongly points at Olivia.
The ending did take me by surprise and I liked that all of the lose ends were covered too. Wish we knew more about the relationship of Olivia’s daughter and her husband though.....maybe a base for another book?
All in all it was a good read and I would recommend it.

Thank you for the ARC! Overall, I enjoyed this book, but it fell a little short at sucking me in. I usually read a book in a day or two and this one took me a few days.

Murder and intrigue, the perfect ingredients for a thrilling read.
Divorce attorney Olivia and her attorney husband are living a charmed life. Making plans for her retirement, Olivia, who prides herself with reading people and relationships, get the biggest birthday surprise of her life. She receives an anonymous email with a video attachment of her husband having sex with a much younger woman. That woman turns up dead and Olivia is arrested as all the evidence points to her guilt. Is she being framed? Could her husband be responsible? On house arrest will she be able to clear herself and find the real perpetrator?
I found this whodunit to be well written, fast paced with believable characters. I really enjoyed the fact that Olivia is in her sixty's which is rare for a protagonist let alone a woman protagonist. The plot kept me guessing right up to the point where an obvious clue is given and the reveal made soon afterwards. This is the start of a new series and I am a fan of Olivia and can't wait for where the author takes her next. If you're a mystery/thriller enthusiast who appreciates a good whodunit I recommend you check this one out.
